First time dining here and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Getting seating was slow, but restaurant appeared to have been a bit short staffed maybe. Definitely busy, so be patient. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not a large dine in area so again be patient, and you can dine at the bar too. Very worth the wait, some of the best sushi I have had! Awesome menu, delicious, quality food. Warm sake was perfect. I see why they won best sushi accolades two years in a row. I wasn't pleased with my whiskey sour drink, but did not complain, I just didn't drink it. I guess Patrick noticed and when I got my bill, the drink had been comp off, so kudos to him for being attentive, and great customer service.

Everything was amazing! I would recommend the plum soju to drink. The yellow tail was the best part of the chefs choice sashimi platter. The ramen was flavorful, and the pork was cooked to where the fat was rendered perfectly. Our server had great suggestions and was attentive. Great first experience! We'll be back! Thank you very much!

Very short on seating and recommend ordering Togo. I would recommend the owners to rearrange the entrance and seating area near the window to host more people and reduce the wait time. Food is delicious

Good ramen, rolls, curry, and takoyaki. Would recommend getting the sampler. That's what I almost always order.

Excellent comfort food during a rainy day. The gyoza are very good, the fried avocado topped with tuna and spicy mayo was a delicious surprise. Special mention to the pork ramen, I absolutely loved the ginger taste of the broth. Service was kind and fast.

Great atmosphere. We liked that it was a bit more intimate rather than completely wide open. Scooter was a great waiter and provided fantastic service. We ordered a couple of rolls as well as hot sake. We found that, compared to some other places, the options for specialty rolls lacked a little as well as they were a bit bland. However, we'd would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu.

This place was great! Devin our server was absolutely on point. Very attentive and very personable! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the menu was perfect and the portions were very reasonable. We tried a handful of things. We had the spicy edamame (really tasty), fries oysters (the sauce was delicious, and we had 5 different types of sushi! We got the Blue O, Shanghai, Godzilla, Spicy Octopus, and Take A Chance (this was a cool one). My favorite ones were the Blue O and the Shanghai. The cool part about Take A Chance was that it came out flaming which was really awesome! Next time we're in town we're absolutely coming back. The manager was awesome and very personable!

A lively and artsy atmosphere. There’s a lot of posters and anime artwork displayed on the walls. Service was great! Props to the waitress for checking in on us and asking if we needed more water. I was a little disappointed with the food. I also had the pork broth ramen and some rolls. Ramen was very heavy and salty. Fish on the rolls weren’t very fresh. Rolls in general were just ok. You can probably get better sushi for the same price at a sushi restaurant. I enjoyed the fries.

I’m so inlove with Blue Ocean! I’ve been coming here since 2019 and the service and food is still top tier and delicious! Everytime I travel I also recommend people to this sushi spot if ever in St. Louis. The staff is nice and attentive the food is fulfilling, hot and fresh and the decor is nice and clean. It’s always packed so make sure to call in ahead of time for seating. Keep up the great work! Definitely my top 5 favorite restaurant in my hometown

Without sacrificing the integrity of the business… I’m going to recommend sticking to ToGo/door dash. Dine in was not an ideal experience. Pictured are the loaded avocados, lobster roll, and fried Philly.

Always love eating inside with the ambiance and my waitress was really sweet. The price is understandable even though I have no money. I enjoy being able to eat there everytime.

My new favorite place. I haven't had Japanese cuisine this good since living near korea town in GA. The staff were fun to talk to!

It has really good vibe in the restaurant with a lot of Japanese decorations. Their menu did not list the price of food. Food is okay. Ramen noodles are over cooked and too soggy. Miso soap base is not distinct. It’s hard to distinguish between tonkotsu and miso soup base. Noodles are all stick together and get not feel the texture when you chew on it. Rolls are overpriced! Everything are nice just not so much about the food.

Absolutely delicious! I loved the spicy beef ramen! (Ask for it not to be too spicy if you’re not much of a spice lover) The flavors are amazing. The broth is honestly to die for! Also, loved the blue O and the lone star rolls! Ramen del Mar was not as flavorful & was spicy, wouldn’t recommend. Otherwise excellent service and food, I will be back!

The server was quick with our drinks and appetizers. She gave us the perfect amount of time to pick our entrees. The food was delicious. I had the tuna-o-rama roll, and my friend ordered a ramen dish. Both were flavorful.

I went for the first time with my friend yesterday and we sat at the bar. Love the ambience inside. The service was great and I really enjoyed my fried lobster tempura rolls they were so good!!!

Nice & Safe Summer Family Night! Food is sight & taste appeasing & served on “butcher block boards” which made the experience stand out from other restaurants that I’ve ventured to! And, they have alcoholic beverages adults can choose from but children can choose from their nonalcoholic products as well! They are busy (which is good which means food is good) but you are seated in a timely manner. The service is amazing 🤩 really they are!!! And, how they set up their orders thru the phone app is so efficient! This was an amazing dining experience coming out of state to visit my daughter & granddaughters!

We enjoyed the lobster roll, loaded avocado, and the pork noodles – all of them were superb. I can't wait to return for more!

Family oriented and staff was very accommodating. Server made great suggestions and the Food speaks for itself. So good I dived right in and forgot to take pictures. Will return. By far best sushi in UCity.
