Ebony gave me my first ever taste of African/Eriterian food thanks to my colleague’s recommendation. First of all, I really loved the ambience which was little bit hipster and little bit cozy with a lot of artistic touches. Now coming to the food, I was really taken away by the homely taste of the food. The starter was great and the main dish was even better (also too much quantity). They even had samosa (we have the same in India too). Also, Injera, the main part of the dish is very similar to the indian food dosa. It’s like we share a bond with Africa through food. We are all the same.

Is my first time trying African food. I really liked it as I found it similar to Indian food. Try eating with your hand as it is the correct way it is supposed to be consumed. Service was very friendly and they accept card. Deducting two stars as I wish they could better recommend dishes for us to try as the two this we had were basically same, the flavored beers are really artificial tasting (try Savana cider instead), and I believe the cost does not match the restaurant and amount of the food served.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Due to the early / late time of my visit the restaurant was almost empty. As for the food I went for the Platte Ebony priced at 17.90 EUR - it was delicious and staff was very friendly and attentive.

Highly recommended, the food is sooo delicious, exactly our taste! The service is very attentive and fast, portion sizes are fairly big. We especially liked the animal sculptures on the wall - creative alternative and art! Definitely worth visiting a second time :)

An African Restaurant in the middle of West!? I won’t complain for one second. The service was awesome, the food was great, and the experience was all around great. I could ask for nothing more. Ok, I lived in Africa for almost 6 years. Maybe I need to remember that when I tell them that spicy is ok. Next time I will just have them turn up the heat a little…. Or as my buddy’s gf always says “pour some fire on it” 😂

Living in Seattle where Ethiopian food is common, Ebony was the perfect place to satisfy my African food craving. Pictured below is the lamb kilwa which was delicious! The servers were extremely friendly and as someone who doesn’t speak German, I appreciated the fact that they have an English menu. If you’re looking to try something new, you can’t go wrong with Ebony!

Warm and inviting restaurant, gracious staff and lovely food! I had the samosas to start with Timtimo as a main course. The wine selection was extensive and so was the menu. Plenty of vegetarian options and a well annotated allergy legend for those looking to avoid certain foods.

Great service & delicious food, in a quiet street close to Mitre. Vegetarian friendly (although we had the Probieren Teller)

Amazing spot! Great beer selection and a wide variety of dishes. I started with the vegetable soup and then tried the sampler for one to taste a little bit of everything. Chicken was fall-off-the-bone and the injera was fantastic. Highly recommend!

WOOOOOOOOW!!!! I love African food - especially Ethiopian and this restaurant hit *ALL* the buttons. I've tried this cuisine in Kenya, Tanzania, England, the US, Spain, Singapore & Germany and this is one is the best! We ordered the pumpkin curry soup (seasonal) and the Hetznot to share. We didn't get a picture of the soup because we ate it too fast it was that good! 🙈😂 All of the flavors were perfect, from the injera to the okra, collard greens, curried cauliflower, the meats - chicken on the bone (the only way to cook it), lamb... ohhhh the lamb. I live 5 hours away and I will be dreaming about coming back and drooling every time I remember our experience here. Thank you for the authentic food, great service & friendly smiles. We will find a way to make it back! 😍😋😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤🤤

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Very friendly personal. When it's full, one has to wait a little since they're low on staff...but taste of the food makes the wait worth it 😊

Our first time trying Eritrean dishes. Very friendly staffs and the food was absolutely delicious. Well recommended! Parking could be a little bit difficult in the evening but you could just park few blocks away from the restaurant. Or take a train there 😊 Thank you for the excellent service and keep up the good work!

Oh such a lovely restaurant, one of these places that offers an experience and a slice of the culture from which the cuisine it offers, can't wait to return. Great value and taste.

Amazing, I have been in three African restaurants in Stuttgart but this is definitely the best, price and food are TOP and the service is extremely kind.
