I had a highly disappointing experience at Laser Clinics that I feel compelled to share. I want to clarify that I don't attribute it to racial discrimination, but rather a personal encounter. I had booked an appointment at 10 am through their website. However, upon arrival, the receptionist named Nola informed me that my appointment was not registered and suggested rescheduling for the earliest slot at 4:30 pm. Throughout our interaction, Nola showed no signs of warmth or friendliness. I understand that there may have been some booking mishap or Nola may have been having a bad day due to weather conditions—I can't be certain. Nonetheless, I decided to leave and return in the afternoon. When I arrived again, there was no one at the reception desk. After waiting for a few minutes, with more customers arriving, I took a seat to wait. That's when Nola emerged, and a Caucasian woman approached her stating she had a 4:30 pm appointment. Nola began checking the information and realized the woman's appointment hadn't been successful either. However, instead of addressing the situation with me, Nola immediately prioritized the other woman, allowing the nurse to attend to her first. Another receptionist appeared at that moment, so I hurriedly approached and inquired about my situation. She asked me to fill out the necessary forms and then left. After completing the paperwork, there was still no one attending to me, leaving me to wait alone. It was only after 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, when the woman who cut ahead of me emerged from the nurse's treatment room, that the nurse finally took my information. Considering Laser Clinics' status as a large professional chain, the unprofessional attitude of the receptionist and the poor experience they provided to new customers were highly disappointing. If I were to rate the nurse's professionalism, I would give it a 4 out of 5. However, due to Nola's personal impact, I can only give a rating of 1 out of 5.

Today 13/8 at 4.35pm at the Albany clinic. I had booked an appointment. I showed up to my appointment to find out I was not able to go ahead with the hair laser treatment as my family have a history of melanoma. No where on your website does it state this. When I queried I was advised by Sophie who was the manager that there is not any mention and that they have had a few complaints around this (she stated around 20 a week). When I asked about the website I was told it was a head office thing to sort. I asked to contact head office and was told to do it through a generic email. I was told that this was not on the website due to an issue with Auckland council which I have now also called and filed a complaint with as I felt my query was not been taken seriously. They advised there is no restriction on mentioning this. They could not confirm when this policy had come into effect but must be a little while. To not even be offered another treatment, compensation due to the inconvenience caused for an error your team acknowledged on their behalf I am left angry and unsatisfied with the customer service. I live in west Auckland I have organized a baby sitter for my children to be told sorry and your refund may take up to 3 weeks from Rose at reception and then Sophie advised this will be processed

One of Staff showed very bad attitude to me as my appt was at 3:10 and I was there at 3:09. She said the reminder text wants you to be here at 3:5. I was shocked to see such a bad attitude for 3 minutes !!! Although I was there at the clinic. Before 3:10 which was my actual appt time. Very disappointed!! Do not recommend.there are many laser businesses around the city. Choose one that respect you as a client

The woman who did my laser didn't listen to me, I had a small spot on my chin which I wanted lasered and I said can you just do this bit, and pointed to it. and before I knew it she was shaving my entire chin and around my mouth! I was saying no, I just want this part... But it was too late by that point. Now I'm so terrified that my whole chin will start to grow hair where I never needed to worry about that before. I also got a half arm laser and she started lasering under my arm where I don't experience any noticible hair growth. I was like, oh what are you doing there? I left feeling a bit traumatised mostly about the chin hair. And now I've provoked hair growth in places that were fine and didn't need laser. I've been getting laser for the past 10 years in Australia and never had anyone this heavy handed. Also usually the technician will grid up your legs with chalk so they don't miss anything and they didn't do that here. Really disappointing :(

Bad customer service, booked for 4:30 appointment. Receptionist called me at 4:15 to inform me that they can only do 6:00. Said that they cant promise my booking because the nurse is busy. Notify me an hour before not 15 minutes whilst I’m on the way.. Crackup..

I'm so glad that Laser Clinics had a branch in Albany and it good location it just in the Westfield Albany mall. You can attend your session with Laser Clinics then after you can do shopping. What a great deal :-). I do had great experience with Josephine on laser hair removal. She helped me understand to take care myself. What are the do and don't. After a few session I already see the result and I'm so happy. Worth the time and money. Right now we doing facial treatment after 1st session you already see the result. Amazing ! If you visiting Laser Clinic Albany I definitely recommend Josephine for consultation . She is the best, friendly and very helpful. She always put the client first and considers all options to get the best result being conscious of budgets. Definitely coming back back for further treatments with Laser Clinic Albany!

After having gained alot of weight from a back injury I was feeling pretty insecure about booking for a treatment that's could you make you feel quite vulnerable with how exposing it can be. had I have known how comfortable the staff make you feel, I would have booked alot sooner. I've just finished my second round of laser hair removal on multiple areas & Alecia has been amazing, she makes you feel so comfortable during the treatment. She is SO attentive & great at what she does. Overall it's been an amazing experience so far from the customer service, the treatments & the visble results.

This clinic definitely need much better customer service training, the receptionist sooo rude with her poker face and don’t care attitude. No wonder this clinic is lowest goggle review marks than other laser clinics.

Worst customer service I have ever received, very poor professionalism. The first visit I paid to this clinic was to buy a package of 6 laser sessions. The team did not ask any further information, such as the medication I was on, even though I told them it was my first time getting laser treatments. The second time I visited was for my first session/consultation, and only then do they tell me the medication I am on cannot be ingested while I receive laser. But since this is their responsibility as they did not ask me before I pre-paid for the sessions, they tell me they will send a message to head office for a refund and that I would receive a call that very night. The call did not come that night, and so a few days later I go into the clinic again to follow up. A worker at the desk reads off my notes and tells me a message has been sent to head office, but it can take up to 7 days to get back. I miss a call from them a few days later, so I go in again to check what the call was about. I meet Sophia, who tells me everything I have already been told, that this is their fault, and so will send message to head office. I tell her the message has already been sent, but she informs me no such thing happened, as she is the person who contacts and sends messages to head office. She tells me to wait. Again. Even though I told them to email me, as I might miss their next call in case I am working, they give me another call which I fortunately receive. Sophie tells me to come in on Thursday at 5:30 for the refund. I tell her I have a shift that starts at 5:30, and so she tells me to come a little before, that if she is with a client, she can pop out for a second for the refund. So I go in at 5:20 on Thursday, and get told Sophie is with a client and cannot come out. They tell me to wait until 5:35, and I tell them that I have already said I have a shift starting AT 5:30, and they repeatedly tell me to wait UNTIL 5:30. The other workers tell me to come back during my break as they GUARANTEE she will be there. I go back during my break, and Sophie is not there. I wait a few minutes before she comes in. She sits down and without saying anything, holds her hand out for my card. This is how I finally received my refund. Will definitely not go back, and warn others not to as well.

Have had 6 sessions of laser hair removal with very noticeable difference. Used to have to shave daily and now I never shave at all! They often have 50% off sales which makes the laser much more affordable. Angel is usually my therapist and she always gives great customer service and offers really good advice on exfoliation and skin care.

I love how this place is so convenient (just outside the mall). The products are good! The rooms are clean. Most of the girls are friendly, especially my two favorite - Josephine and Angel! This is the first place I have decided to go for face treatments and i wont go anywhere else. 💜

Was recommended this clinic by a friend about half a year ago and am so glad I was. Given I am relatively fair and have dark hair, the results I’ve been getting from the laser removals have made such a difference. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and Nola is very friendly and helpful.

I was given the gift of a hair removal course at Laser Clinics Albany. Absolutely awesome. The treatment was very effective and the staff were always lovely. At the end of each session the next session would be booked in. I wasn't informed by them however when the course had expired and that I'd be paying for the next session. Apart from that everything was excellent.

I have had several treatments at this clinic and all the therapists I have had treatments from have been so professional and caring. The environment is welcoming and spotless. Appointments are on time and booking is simple.

lower than one star. Outdated equipment, it doesn’t remove hair properly. Went back and they said come back in a week and it will go away. Came back they said you have to book appointment and pay for it. Such a waste of money and time

I had the LHR Brazilian & Underarms package done in Albany Clinic. So far it has worked for me & felt the hair growth/density reduction. After 2 sessions, I could easily notice the difference with my underarm hair & felt like it stopped growing. The reps who have attended to me especially Josephine made sure I was comfortable & the strength of the laser bearable & felt appropriate with my tolerance to pain. I'm now just doing maintenance sessions as have been satisfied with the service & treatments.

I have been doing laser for my beard with my roommate here as long time. Why did I give 3 stars because I feel that the technical skills of the staff vary greatly and are very unstable. There is only one Indonesian lady and one therapist Angel, they are very professional and have good service. I am satisfied with my results, but the differences each time make me feel quite insecure. Additionally, my roommate, he has done it nearly 20 times, still has unsatisfactory results, but still continuing to use the same solution for him is something I don't understand. It's a waste of everyone's time and money, and BTW I hope there will be Mandarin services here，I hope this brand can improve and do better，thank you
