    The morchels are the star. A vegetarian Michelin concept which doesn't explain things too much. Lovely to be able to order your dishes. Ania's favorite was the rice cakes, which she would call sour rice cakes. Because they have peanuts and sourness. Bread was nice, but isn't all warm bread?:) Beetroot tartar has a little too much perfume from the pickled ginger, wasabi and onion. And now, the morchels. Perfectly combination with rice, which has some crispiness and cooked all dente. Truffle brioche was also very tasty on the milk bun. Very nicely looking. We also tried their most expensive red wine on their menu. And I think it tastes like any other 1er cru. I would expect a little more when deciding to pay 280 for a bottle. Especially that the wine brand owner recommends enjoying it until 2022.

    We fell in love with this spot and will definitely be coming back. It’s best to go as a group (we were 4) and be able to try everything on the menu. The truffle bread is a must but everything else was equally delicious. (PS, as non-vegetarians, you do NOT miss the meat.)

    Went for a birthday dinner - the food was delicious but the service abysmal, the mains arrived over an hour after we finished our starters. Staff were unsympathetic and unhelpful. And worst of all we left hungry. A disappointing experience, I wouldn’t recommend.

    We have been there for the Saturday's lunch during exploration of Zürich. Staff is young and manage well the table. I like concept with sharing dishes and trying more options. We have picked 5 positions for sharing and 2 portions of the same dessert. Worth to try!

    The staff was incredible and attentive. I regret not getting to speak to Fabien. It was amazing watching him work and executing the dishes. Next time I will definitely ask to take a photo (when he's not in the middle of prep!). The rest of the staff was equally amazing. The front of the house were so helpful and warm. The back of the house was like an orchestra everyone working so well together. I would love if you could do a Chef's Table which I guess is almost what I had since I basically spent most of the meal watching the kitchen. I really loved it and can't wait to return!

    Excellent vegetarian restaurant at the heart of Zurich with delicious dishes! Every dish we tried was fantastic and some of them really looked like their meat-oriented inspirations. Very interesting wine list also! Totally recommended!

    What a fantastic vegan tasting experience. Was not expecting such creativity in the menu and presentation, but I guess that’s why they have a Michelin star. Seven or so dishes, themed around the current season. We had things like celery, beet root, mushrooms, and apricots. Unsure how frequently the items change, but I’m sure they will be amazing each time. If you choose the tasting menu, give yourself at least two hours to go through the entire process. I would high recommend it.

    Interesting and varied vegetarian food. We went on a Wednesday and the place was packed. The surprise menu was great: it consists of six small plates for CHF 100. Just enough to make sure you don't leave hungry, but not so much that you feel stuffed.

    This was truly an amazing experience. The service was incredible. Of course, the meals themselves were phenomenal, basically I have no words for how incredible the food was. Some of my favorite parts were about the ambiance and overall curation of our dining experience. I highly recommend Neue Taverne.

    Solid performance. Impeccable service: fast, precise and perfectly in line with the informal location. The dishes are objectively creative with multiple textures and complex flavors despite the lack of meat. My favorite is the caviar with hot blinis. I don't give 5 stars due to the portion/price ratio. Considering the dishes are based predominantly on vegetables, which are cheaper and less filling than meat, the portions should be larger. Additionally, the bread should not served for free, which is typical of michelin starred restaurants.

    We had a great dinner at ‚Neue Taverne‘! The restaurant offers a wide variety of different vegetarian and vegan foods. We opted for the Tavolata which has to be preordered during the reservation. The food was very delicious, freshly made and the service just lovely. The restaurant itself is beautiful in a nice area.

    The place to go to experience a truly elevated vegetarian cuisine. What is interesting is the combination of traditional swiss interiors, which remind a typical stube or chalet, with the modern and innovative vegetarian cuisine, performed by a young group of chefs. The menu is made of different dishes to share or you can opt for a tasting menu with the chef’s selection. We ordered á la carte and every dish was delicious and based on seasonal and local ingredients. I highly suggest the veggie caviar, as well as the pumpkin (loved the plating), but also the butter bread with truffle. Also the risotto with spelt and mushroom was not the usual risotto, it was unique in its texture and richness of flavours and spices. Compared to other vegetarian restaurants, I appreciated the combination of different cuisines, using flavours and techniques from asian traditions, mixing with typical swiss and european ingredients. Also the portions were very gentle and there was the right balance of fats and proteins. The staff was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended not only for vegetarians but also for flexitarians curious to experience new trends

    You have to try the “Caviar of the field”! Recommend to order one per person - its sooo good! The perfect trilogy of fluffiness between truffle / parmesan & bread is the “Milk Bread” For Drinks i really enjoyed the “Stachelbeer Spritz” and the “Rose marry me” with extra gin ;) Enjoy!

    Fantastic and “special” dishes with a twist. Vegetarian and partly vegan. Nice and attentive service, they will however also expertly cross-sell you an expensive piece of bread (not a bad idea but you’d better not come here on a budget here ;)) Try the baby artichokes, they’re heaven!

    If you are from America don’t expect to be served, we were told once we got there for our reservation that we needed to show the QR code on the COVID Cert app which we don’t have and we tried to get the app and the certification but it won’t work with American vaccine cards. Such a bummer we were really looking forward to eating here, wish out reservation confirmation email had said what we would have needed to provide.

    Amazing food, very much for a special occasion as the prices are steep (particularly the wine). We ordered most of the menu and shared, and it was all incredible - it's a good way to sample different things. The dishes are (mostly) vegetarian and there are vegan options - I am neither, but with this sort of quality I could be converted.

    i'm already a huge fan of the well known restaurant bauernschänke – but i love the way nenad & co have re-imagined vegetables on their menu at neue taverne. located in the old town of zurich, the team is serving local / asian fusion dishes. the wine list is en pointe, service was wonderful and we had a fantastic evening. of course, everything on the higher end. thanks again and see you soon!

    I was very excited to find out about the new veg(etari)an spot on the Zurich map. The restaurant might be on the side of the pricey ones, but well worth it. The food was simply amazing, the staff very welcoming and willing to speak English. The only thing I can complain about is the concept of shared tables. I can imagine many people feeling very uncomfortable with the idea, especially if you were not aware of this fact when booking a table.

The menu was truly incredible, there was just enough to choose from without it being overbearing yet they all sounded so good we still asked our waiter for recommendations. Decided on breads, field caviar, nettle ceviche, zucchini kimchi and nocci for two people and it was more than enough in quantity and utterly delicious. Highly recommend!
