Excellent cafe! FYI - The place is quite small and they only accept walk ins. We went on a Saturday at 10:30am and we’re seated straight away for 2 people. The food was hearty and great quality!! The pancakes were super fluffy and vegan breakfast was well seasoned. Customer service was also lovely. Excellent value for money overall and I would definitely recommend!

Heading home after a long weekend in sunny Salford we wanted to grab a quick bite. So we ended up at Playfoots. This cafe is pretty tiny inside, but has some pavement space. There was a "45 minute" wait for food but it wasn't that long and was well worth it. I had a smashed avocado on sour-dough and my better half had pancakes (of course!). Both were delicious. The smashedvocado had seasoned pumpkin seeds and pea shoots on it, and a grilled lime (wasn't sure about that). Coffee was excellent - smooth, creamy, everything you want in a latte.

Hidden Gem. This unassuming little corner cafe is one of the best places in the area. Hands down. Decor is amazing, visit the upstairs for a chill lounge spot or stay downstairs for more of a cafe feel. Coffee, Tea is done wonderful and strong. Food is fresh, local, and delicious while being cooked perfectly. Service is always done with a smile and they make everyone feel like a local. Next time you’re in Manchester come here and enjoy a proper full English or one of the other amazing dishes the chefs prepare. You will not be disappointed and I highly recommend.

There are many cafe bars on this popular Monton street and Playfoots has gotta be one of the best. They served up some seriously fluffy pancakes and Korean chicken drenched in syrup. Very tasty! Watching the other orders leave the kitchen left me with food envy so I am looking forward to my next visit. Well done people 👏🏾🙂

Lovely bar/cafe on the main road through Monton. Good menu with vegan & vegetarian options. I had the poached eggs on sourdough toast with crispy bacon on the side. Very well presented & tasted great. Good value for money and there are non dairy options for tea & coffees. Dog friendly too so I can definitely recommend to all who take dogs out and about with them. The photo is an amazing mural that I've never seen before.

We went here for breakfast on Friday the 29th April and all I can say is that we had the best fry up I have ever had. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. £10.50 sounds like a lot. But you get a lot of breakfast for your cash. My only regret was that I couldn't eat another!! Restaurant is nicely decorated with a nice vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful, we felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Fantastic and will go again if we are in the area.

Nice little bar in Monton. Surrounded by some nice eateries so a good place to go after some food. Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly.

Best food in Monton without a doubt it's just the service that I'm not a huge fan of. They offer a massive choice of freshly baked goods, their sausage rolls are huge and Absolutely the best. Brownies are to die for, but it's their bagels we keep coming back for. Our favourite is the slow cooked chorizo and egg bagel. But every other one is great. They also offer a variety of goods from fresh sourdough bread, organic vegetable, condiments, sweets and drinks. As well as fresh cuts of meat, cheese etc. The service however is a let down because it lacks organisation. There is one young lad which is super friendly, makes awesome coffee and is always there to help. The older gentleman is rather slow, can't answer a simple question of "how much is this cake" while packing my salad. And his attitude is not to my liking, a bit standoffish.I had unpleasant situation when I came to pick up some tomatoes and was told to add few more to the box because it wasn't filled to the edge and then I was told he has to charge me more 🙈 so I removed one of the larger ones but still was charged extra 🤷 it's just little things like that, few comments that don't make me feel as welcome as by the other members of staff. thank god the food is outstanding, well priced and Always Fresh!

Called in to Playfoots after a stop-over in Salford. What a gem of a café. It’s quite small inside but very comfortable, the decor is great and the staff were excellent. As for the food, make sure you’re empty, the portions are very generous and super delicious. I ordered the pancakes with poached cherries, yogurt and pistachio; amazing !! As a side note, those hash browns…. OMG 😋

First time visiting and was very impressed. Phoned up first to check if they were dog friendly and they said yes. Staff were friendly and the service were brilliant. Me and my partner couldn't decide what we wanted so we got 3 meals to share. Everything were delicious. Would highly recommend playfoots. We will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Playfoots, and it won't be my last. What an amazing place! We turned up at just after 9 am on a Sunday and the place was already 3/4 full downstairs. We were welcomed and seated by an incredibly friendly hostess, who was great throughout our visit despite being obviously very busy. The coffee was as good as coffee can be. The breakfast was the best I've had for years. I had the full English and hubby had banoffee French toast. Every mouthful was gorgeous. We also loved the decor here; there was something quirky to look at in every direction, including up. I recommend Playfoots without hesitation.

My friend and I pop in here for a coffee on our walk with the dog every week. Definitely recommend the coffee - it's really good! The outdoor seating has been spruced up and is really tasteful and cosy - all ready for spring and summer. Jo served us - she is so welcoming and friendly. She gave Pablo a sausage too which he wolfed down! Lovely place!

New favourite in Monton without a doubt! Went for breakfast today at Playfoots Wow the food 10/10 I got the mushroom on toast which was so flavourful. The portion size was huge and the sourdough bread was to die for! Coffee was amazing. The other dishes were the full breakfast and veggie breakfast which was also delicious. Definitely a new favourite in monton.

Very good local cafe, serving fresh produce and interesting dishes. The ground floor has a small deli selling various freshly made snacks such as sausage rolls, sauces, dips, etc. Upstairs and outside there is some seating available. I ordered the lamb sausage with baked egg, peppers etc. This was served piping hot in a terracotta dish, it was excellent. Egg was delicious, the tomato was not overpowering, sausage was also good, there was a slice of crusty sourdough bread also. It reminded me of Turkish or North African food, not what I was expecting but it was very good. I'm keen to try the other dishes the next time I'm in the vicinity. Highly recommended.

Great little place! Excellent coffee and food. A small but good quality beer choice - a bit expensive but don't mind paying a premium for the good atmosphere. The bar staff are always very friendly which makes a big difference. Dog friendly too - happy days.

We sat outside to enjoy the sun the tables are well positioned to people watch. They do not have a drinks menu but I would be careful on what you order. We had an iced latte with almond milk and vanilla syrup, the drink came to around £6, as there were no prices we were unaware that it would be this expensive. We ordered a fry up and poached eggs on toast. The sausages were really small but tasted good, bacon was ok, the toast that they came with the fry up was really nice. The toast for the poached eggs was too hard for my wife's liking and the eggs were good. Overall the location is good, the staff are nice and friendly, the coffee list is extensive but if you don't watch yourself your drink will cost more than the food which was alright but nothing special.

The best vegan/veggie breakfast around by a long shot. The quality of food knocked out by this place is above all expectations, every time. My favourite cafe bar in the area. They've got the brand bang on. Good selection of crafty ones too. Mint.

It's a very nice place to sit and catch up with a friend. That was exactly my experience on my first visit. The place is so crammed in that you get to talking to people because they're in a different party but sat on the same table. It's not awkward or too clostophobic however privately held conversation goes right out the window here. Still, it's a nice spot and when you're inside you honestly forget you're in Eccles. That's this place's purpose (or rather one they'd be smart investing in). It's on the expensive side. You wouldn't drink too much here on a casual basis unless you had money. A lot of money.

Overall, Playfoots is a decent brunch spot but with some drawbacks. On Sunday, the restaurant can be quite busy and seating can be limited, so it's best to have a backup plan in case you can't find a seat. If you do manage to get a seat, try to sit upstairs as it has a better atmosphere and it is less loud. The spacing in the restaurant can be tight and it can be difficult to navigate through the tables on the ground floor. Also, the seating itself wasn't very comfortable as I had to seat on a bar stool without a back support. On the plus side, the cappuccino was nice and the Full English breakfast was delicious. However, you're not allowed to substitute ingredients and the tomato on the dish was not very good as it was too sour for me. If you're willing to overlook these issues, Playfoots can be a good brunch option.

Rarely find a place that has great coffee and great food, for omni qnd vegans, so breakfast with the in laws can be hard, but this place was awesome! Also the staff are friendly and it's super clean, and you can take pets. Big smiles all round 💘

Great spot for brunch. Dog friendly, a changing selection of beers, great food, and fantastic staff. You cannot book, which more places should take note of, as it's disappointing to show up at other places with loads of empty tables only to be told that are all reserved

Great food and great service, couldn't go far enough to make a fuss over my 4 year old son. My son's sausage roll didn't last 5 minutes and that is saying something with the size of it! Will definitely being going back soon!

Playfoots is such a fantastic Cafe/Bar. It is my favourite spot for a bit of lunch. I booked out the upstairs space for a post wedding brunch and it was absolutely perfect. The service was great and was ran so smoothly by all of the staff. The food was excellent as it always it, couldn't have asked for a better wedding hangover day. Thank you so so much. Can't wait for our next trip her for a bite to eat and a tipple.

As a regular here, the food is excellent, always brilliant quality with a really varied menu to suit whatever you fancy at the time. Our only slight feedback is that the time taken to serve the food can be quite long if you go early in the morning, but with an amazing coffee it is well worth the wait. Would highly recommend.

Second time visiting this little gem Great food, great coffee, great service - even better that it’s an independent business! We had the halloumi bagel and French toast and they were divine! Fresh tasty food, quick service, priced well and the whole ambience is just a great vibe Jo & Bella looked after us - both a credit to the place! We will be back for sure, and we won’t over order next time Thanks so much guys! We are excited for the new menu!!!

Lovely little cafe amazing food and drinks feels very cosy and homey. They have space up stairs and downstairs as well as some outside seating and they are dog friendly. It’s a little bit expensive so I like to go for the rare treat but it’s one of my all time favourite cafes in the area much better then big brands such as costa as they take the time and effort to serve a great product

This place is such a gem. I have 45 mins to kill every week with my youngest whilst his big bro goes to music lesson. We always get a warm welcome at Playfoots. Met a friend here last night and we all three had the chicken thighs with fries & coleslaw with a dip. Absolutely delicious. They call it a chicken 'pop-up' night, presumably because of the coating on the chicken? Nice wine too. Really great atmosphere too, good lighting and music, candles on the tables all made for a fab atmosphere. There are seats outside with blankets for customers for when it gets colder, nice touch by the owners. I think it's safe to say we will be back.

Absolutely outstanding. Popped into this little gem for breakfast. Staff were fantastic. The full English breakfast was so good. Definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.

It was my daughter who recommended this lovely cafe. I had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon, Maple syrup and pecans. Oh, I must say it was delicious, and their coffee was A-class. I'm hard to please person the reason being is my family was a supplier of meat and other food products, and I consider myself to know what decent food is I'm from out of town, but I’ll be certainly be going back there.
