A small but complete museum dedicated to what Ushuaia is. History, heritage, fauna with birds and sea life, are shown here. Housed into the building that was the first ever bank of the young city, some parts of the bank have been preserved and are still visible here. It's a very small and humble museum, yet it is already a lot of informations to discover and it also is completed by the old House of the Governor, also worth a visit. Go pay those places a visit !

The better half of the two in one museum for 400ARS. The museum shows a little history and a little bit of the animal world. If the museum could be redone, it could become quite nice. Important , it should not remain so dark, the size of textes must become bigger and everything needs a better structure and layout.

Nice little museum about different local topics. You can learn something about animals, the natives and about the history of the city. Entrance fee is just 3.000 Pesos and you have access to the other building of the museum as well.

Ein bisschen wie aus der Zeit gefallen. Das Museum ist im besten Sinn ein Regionalmuseum - sehr viel Bezug zur Natur, zur Geschichte. Wir fanden es gut - nicht nur, weil es mal wieder regnete. :-)

Das Museum ist sehr klein, mehr als eine Viertelstunde kann man hier kaum verbringen. Thematisch eine Mischung aus Historie und Fauna der Region, am ehesten werden sich Ornithologen wohlfühlen. Der Eintritt gilt auch für die Antigua Casa. Insgesamt kein Vergleich zum wesentlich interessanteren Gefängnismuseum.

There's not a ton to see in the town, so this is about as good as it gets I think. That said, you get entrances to two different buildings, and access to an outdoor area. I enjoyed learning about the history of the town, seeing the old photos, and learning about all the wildlife. There's a lot to see, it's all within walking distance, and the whole museum might take a couple hours at most to visit. And that's if you read and look at everything. It's also very inexpensive.

The end of the world is full of stark beauty and extreme wildlife. The islands offshore teem with walrus, sea lions, penguins and cormorants. A boat trip offshore is the best way to see this wildlife in their natural element.

One of the best museums in Ushuaia! It was very crowded when I went so I recommend the morning rather than the afternoon. It has outdoor exhibits on both sides of the museum that are free but they do lock the gates when the museum closes in the evening.

i discover the experience of antartica. was free entrance, a simulator with 3d google view and i tought i was at antartida with pinguins heheh must go!! and at the park at the end of route 3 after 20:00pm dont need pay for entrance....i done free camping, and must leave before 10:am..

Small museum that has a bit of good history, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it especially for almost $10USD for foreigners

Small but quite interesting museum. They have a complete exhibition of local birds. Unfortunately, they don’t provide much information about the indigenous people living on the island or the genocide led by the pioneers or the Catholic church and their “evangelization”

Nice tiny museum with info about shipwrecks, flora and fauna. Figurehead of the "Duchess of Albany" wreck remains here. Worth the visit

There's two buildings for the Museo de Fin Del Monde museum. You'll get to see animals from this region including penguins and flamingos (and the bacteria that grows here!). Along with the history of the Anglican missionaries coming here, meeting the Selk'nam people, creating ranches on the land before ... Being wiped out by colonists. You'll also see in the other building the government activities. Pretty cool to see how many women leaders there were albeit unproportional to the dudes!
