Amazing view and definitely worth the work. The hike seems to just keep getting steeper but it’s all worth it. Just take a one single look and it’s all worth it. Would not recommend for the weak or people that easily give up. Give it your best shot and you can make it! It truly is a fun but challenging hike.

Everyone should climb this mountain at least once. It builds confidence. At 61 years old, I didn't know if I could still do it, but I did and it is still awesome for the 16th time. My first trip was in 1970 at 8 years old, during the annual BYU sponsored hike. Try it, you won't regret it, but be prepared and research before going.

The scenery is beautiful, from both the saddle and the summit. But the hike up was brutal. As of Aug 31st 2019 there was still snow along the hike, there were 4 places you crossed over snow. We started at 6am, the mosquitoes started to come out soon after sunrise and they were a frustration, but as the heat increased they went away. It was surprisingly very busy along the trail, and this made the hiking time more than normal, there were runners, hikers (both experienced and not), large groups, small groups individuals and couples. Generally all were polite, except for the runners, for the most part they were rude and expected you to part the way like Moses parted the red sea, what just because you're a runner? And where the heck do you want me to go. There is a cliff on one side and a rock wall on the other, so you mr runner and mrs, slow down when passing people and have etiquette!! Also there were a number of dogs on the trail, 90+% were off leash which sometimes was a pain as well as the dogs just squeezed through and sometimes knocked into you. There was wildlife along the way, from the annoying mosquitoes to other insects, chipmunks and we also saw a large white mountain goat which came close, before a dog started to chase the goat down the side. All in all a long sore but fulfilling hike. Glad I went all the way to the top this time. Mount Timp ✅

One of the best hikes in Utah, and maybe in the US! Loved it! So beautiful!! The views were kind of hard to see due to recent wildfires, but still beautiful! We started at midnight from the Timpanookie trail, and made it up around 6 AM for the sunrise. We weren’t in the best shape, so it took about a total of 11 hours to hike round trip. My steps ended up totally 16 Miles. So rewarding when you get to the top! We went at the end of August. No snow at the top, but it was in the 30s once we hit the summit. Super windy, and super cold, so you want to dress warm. Loved the hike!!!

We left around 1:15 a few of us were able to hustle up. We made it to the top 10 mins before sunrise while other groups of our party were not as fortunate. We got to the bottom at around 11:15 The views are astounding and it is beautiful. Be careful though, as it can make your muscles very sore. When you get to the top, you want to call in a rescue helicopter rather than hike back down. The hike down is just as painful as the way up. Bring Ibuprofen to help with pain. Feet will be very sore by the time you reach the bottom. Please bring multiple layers AND an emergency blanket if you plan to summit before sunrise. It is very cold and when we went we saw way to many people without warm enough clothes (of course, it's up to you though). Last but not least, we were able to see GOATS on the way down, and it was really cool. They are fine if you don't approach their kids. All in all a pretty difficult hike but well worth it.

Started hike at 4am and got to the top by 8:30. Got down at 12:30pm. Beautiful weather with lots of cloud cover. Moderate to difficult hike at certain sections. Great views. Once at the saddle there a spot where the trail splits. Take the path on the left and crawl up the rocky switchbacks. We went down the right side and were on a ledge for a little bit until it came to an end. Pretty scary if you take that route. Would definitely do this hike again. Views from the top were spectacular!

Very hard hike, summited it my first time with my girlfriend’s dad 3 hours 15 minutes from bottom to top, the way up was pretty hard but why not? The views, the wildlife, all the people you meet on the way, you can see the diversity on humanity, some stronger, some with more heart than others to summit it, such an amazing experience, BECAUSE it gives you time to reflect who you really are, highly recommend it, it’s worth keep going to the summit.

What a fantastic hike even though it was super busy. Very popular destination. It gets pretty windy up here which helped with the hot day. One person in our group couldn't complete because of a fear of heights, falling down the hillside.

Beautiful terrain and views. Great sense of accomplishment. Timpanooke trail was difficult because I was out of shape. Definitely should prepare yourself before attempting but can be done without. Took about 10 hours overall.
