Sightseeing tour agency

😠 I’m giving cordillera a bad review because they hire guides that do not care about the environment or the wild animals! We watched their guides feeding a wild fox sugar cookies and bread to impress their tourists. This fox is now trained to wait around the sites for free bread instead of hunting. Hi... People often mention tour, guide, Uyuni, recommend, great, experience, company, Pedro, good, Atacama,

Don't choose this agency. The owner Flavio in San Pedro Atacama is a rude and dishonest person. I asked him few questions before arriving, he get annoyed. The worst part is this agency request 30% down-payment, which no other agencies do this. I asked him 3 times if a sleeping bag could be including in the price. He just don't answer. When I said, should I tell Lonely Planet book that they recommend you are not true ? He got angry, said "don't threat me! When you arrive San Pedro Atacama, cancel your tour and return your money." Which I did, but I paid him USD$60, he only returned to me USD 41!!! He refused to return full money. The question is, he is the person asked me to cancel, how come I as a customer suffer? There are plenty of agencies in San Pedro Atacama offer trip to Uyuni, much better price and service! For God sake, don't choose Cordillera travel!! !!

I’m giving cordillera a bad review because they hire guides that do not care about the environment or the wild animals! We watched their guides feeding a wild fox sugar cookies and bread to impress their tourists. This fox is now trained to wait around the sites for free bread instead of hunting. His fur was thin and this fox was starving to death yet these guides are ignorant enough to think they are helping. Because of guides like this, wild animals in the park are dying. *If you see a guide trying to feed wild animals please stop them! * if you are the kind of tourist who doesn’t care about wild animals or the environment please stay at home!

Bad experience with this agency. They did not offer us what they promised and after telling us they were going to find a solution rapidly they never reached us back. Hopefully, our guide was very nice with us and this helped to have a better experience (notice that he does not work for this agency!!!!!)

Another agency recommended Cordillera to us and we could not be happier! Alejandro, our driver and guide, was amazing, super friendly, pacient, helpful with all our questions, and a great photographer! The food was great (we had vegetarians in our group and they were very well fed as well), the accommodation was basic but clean and pleasant. Definitely recommend!

One of the tour guides from this company was feeding a wild fox bread and encouraging tourists to feed it cookies on a Uyuni tour. He was then very rude and unfriendly towards some other tourists who were trying to explain to him why this was so wrong. Feeding wild animals is not only damaging to the health of an individual animal, but the ecosystem as a whole. It is harmful and unethical and nature tour companies should know better than to allow this to happen! BAD your company!

Honestly one of the best three days of my life. We did the 3 day 2 night tour. Our guide Walter was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and made the experience for us! The food was delicious, we saw such beautiful scenes and even took some funky perspective photographs! Cannot recommend enough!

We recently did the 3 day and 2 nights trip with Cordillera. We absolutely loved it and would 100% recommend this company. A massive reason for our enjoyment was Walter who was our guide, he was a 5* and 10/10. His local and cultural knowledge of all sites visited was hugely insightful and his English was great. We love you Walter!

My wife, son and I hired Cordillera Traveler in January 2019 for the classic Uyuni 3-day circuit. It was an excellent experience and we highly recommend this company. Travelers should know that the accommodations are rustic and the days are long. While very adequate, the food is basic but tasty. The first day is comprised only of the salar (salt flat) tour while the last two days are spent traversing the higher regions of the Altiplano with vistas of volcanoes and lagunas (lakes) with pink flamingos. It's otherworldly. The elevations are extreme, reaching just over 16,000 ft (4800 meters). Our guide, Samuel, was excellent---always attentive and deferential to our requests and needs. Although it's typical to pack six passengers into a Landcruiser, we recommend paying a little extra and going with five. Otherwise, the interior becomes very cramped. The (cold) dry season allows a visit to Isla Incahuasi while the wet season (January) affords you the flooded salar and mirror effect. Both are spectacular. Overall a very memorable experience.

We took the tour from San Pedro to Uyuni and back to San Pedro. 4 days, 3 nights. It was a shared tour with 4 people (2 brazilian, 1 czech, 1 german). The tour is just great, well organized in wonderful places. The accomodations for the first and third nights were extremely basic (too basic.... that's why I do not rate 5 stars). The rest was ok. Special thanks to Samuel, our driver and guide: he' s absolutely perfect! Safe driver, always ready to explain, answer questions... and take nice pictures. Samuel is definitely a "plus" in the tour. Many thanks, Samuel!!!

We ended up doing our Uyuni 3D2N with Cordillera since some agencies didn’t run because of the low tourism in Bolivia at that time. Was pleasantly surprised because not only was it a great price but we also got amazing (vegan!) food and our driver was the absolute best guide you could imagine :) the agency is super flexible and you can show up in the morning to book your tour. Don’t miss it!

I did the 3 Days 2 Nights Jeep Tour through the Atacama desert from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni and it was perfect. From time to time we saw different other groups doing the „same“ tour, but it seemed like our guide always chose the best ways to go or hike. Also, a lot of the other tours did not even habe guides. And our guide was the best. He always had so much energy and joy while showing and explaining us everything! Furthermore, our driver was super kind and answered all our questions we had during the drive. The places we visited were stunning and I would 100% recommend to do this trip with Cordillera Traveller! Jakuuuu!

Fantastic tour. We had the pleasure of riding with Christian, who goes far and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and is an excellent driver. The food provided is great, it’s not a sandwich and carrot sticks. All food groups provided and the overnight stays are comfortable and inviting. Highly recommend this tour agency.

Great experience on the Salar de Uyuni trip for 3d/2n. Ronald our guide was a legend and the great bonus is he speaks great English. He took really good care of us and went beyond to ensure everyone had a good experience. Would highly recommend this company for the great guides and the fantastic experience

Amazing experience. We didn't book with this company but after a last minute cancellation, Cordillera Traveller stepped up and added us to one of their tours. We were on the 3d2n round trip to and from Uyuni. Our guide, Walter, was awesome! He took great photos, and made sure we had a great time. He has a fantastic sense of humour and clearly loves what he does. Thank you, Walter, for making our time extra special.

We did a 3days tour with the agency (only the Bolivian side), the landscapes were incredible and all the sight-seeing amazingly chosen. Our guide Luis was very friendly and very attentive to our need. He also had a full knowledge of the nature and animals as well as history of the city/village we went to. I highly recommend this tour

Marcelo was a great guide he spoke good English and had good knowledge of the landscape flora and fauna. His cooking skills are excellent and he ensured everyone enjoyed the food he even provided a bottle of wine for our Christmas dinner! Marcelo took a lot of trouble to ensure our photos and videos were fantastic throughout the journey. The accommodation was adequate, driving and company excellent I would recommend this company for the Uyuni salt flats tour from San Pedro de Atacama

We were on a 3 day / 2 night trip from Atacama to Uyuni. The trip was well prepared and we visited very nice spots. Our guide Marcello made our trip during Christmas time very special. We was well informed and very enthusiastic the whole time. His English is fine and he is very keen on taking pictures. The only weird thing was that everyone paid a different price for the tour. And that the tourguide in English we had to pay extra for was the driver. So make sure you do not pay extra for the english guide or at least not over 30 USD more! I wrote an email to the company but never got an answer.

We did the 3 day tour starting from San Pedro to Uyuni including an english guide. Our driver Omar and our guide Luis were awesome! We really enjoyed our time. Luis speaks perfectly english. Unfortunately we had bad weather (snow and rain) what is very rare in the Uyuni salt flat. Anyway our experience was still great. We were well entertained by Luis, has he is a very funny guy. We can totally recommend to ask for Luis and Omar!

One of the best tours that we’ve done in South America. Walter was our guide and he was very knowledgable, enthusiastic and accommodating - not to mention expert photographer on the salt flats. Clear communication from the company in the lead up to the tour and picked us up from Uyuní, spent 2 nights in lovey accommodation and dropped us off at the Chilean border 3 days later. Food was delicious throughout. Should point out that crossing from Bolivia into Chile took a lot longer than expected, took 2/3 hours to get bags searched and through passport control but no real issues. WiFi not great at hostels but you don’t need it for 2 nights.

We chose this company for your 3D/2N tour from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama, and we definitely recommend them! The entire process was smooth from buying the tickets the evening before to getting dropped off in Chile. Our guide Luis did a really good job with explaining, helping and taking photos. The food was plenty and the accommodation options were clean and good. Also, the price for the tour was good because all tour companies follow the same route, and this company offers a good price/quality ratio.

We did the 3 day tour from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama. The tour was outstanding. We saw beautiful landscapes and a lot of animals. Our guide Ronal was very funny and friendly. Finally they supported us perfectly for the migration to Chile.

I did the 3D/2N tour with Ezekiel and Markos! Ezekiel went above and beyond to keep our group happy. Highly recommend Ezekiel and Markos as your tour guide and driver!

We took the tour from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama. Everything was perfect. Wonderful experience in one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world. Plenty and delicious food! Our guide, Marcello, was the best! Without him, it was not going to be the same. He was so attentive, always caring about us to be healthy, to have fun, to have the best photos. We were all like a family for 3 days. He also have so good knowlegde around photography and he knows how to get the bests shots about every place. Our photo album is full, thanks to him, with photos we will remember for a lifetime. So passionate about his job! Also, Martin, our driver, was very careful and the route seemed very smooth because of his driving! Five stars are not enough to describe our experience. Marcello was like a friend or a brother to us those 3 days and we wait for him in Greece to guide him in our country! Korina and Dimitris from Grecia

The tour was well orginized with a good guide. We had a flat tyre and the guys fixes it quite fast. Even though it was freaking cold we had an awesome time. Food was mostly good. There was one booking problem for the last night, 'cause they wanted us to pay an extra 160BS to use a private restroom but we never booked a shared bathroom. In the end they even avoided to give us towels for the hot springs.

I did 3D2N Uyuni Salt Flats with them. I really cannot complain about anything. They did provide as expected. The guide, Walter, was a gem. The car as comfy as could be and very warm inside. The food was plentiful. The accommodation exactly as described (warm sleeping bags provided). Stops were numerous, enough time for photos, lots of fun included. The drop off at the Chilean side smoothless. If I were to do it again, I'd defo go with them.
