Sorry I sound repetitive, but yes, almost everywhere in Greece you will find very friendly and warm service. The food in this place was fantastic as well! Pictured here is the Greek salad, but unfortunately, star of the show orzo and beef did not make the picture. It was that good! This great meal ended with a courtesy Mastiha that was delicious!

Came here for dinner on our last night in Athens after reading great reviews and we were not disappointed! The food was of a good quality and fresh, service was great too! A nod to traditional and local foods, had one of the best olives I’ve ever tasted too!! It’s clear the owners/chefs are very passionate! We would recommend this place to our friends and family and we definitely come again!

Hidden neighborhood gem. Some of the best and friendliest service in Athens. Eva and Despina were so awesome we went back twice. Creative specials with good attention to details. Interesting cocktails.

The food here is so amazing. The flavors and the textures are all fantastic I actually ordered two meals somehow but did not regret it because as amazing as my spinach pie was the second meal Brain, was even better if that's possible. The baked feta and lamb we're also incredible. I would highly recommend anybody who is in the Athens area or passing through this is a must go to restaurant.

Amazing greek food! We went for 5 starters, one main and one dessert (sharing) and that was quite satisfying. Portions are decently sized. We loved all the dishes!

We have arrived in Athens today! While strolling along the streets out walking and looking for some dinner, we have found a real gem! The most friendly folks are awaiting you to say hello, provide history, answer any questions and of course, feed you a really exquisite traditional Greek meal! We felt like good friends here, had excellent conversation with the staff and enjoyed amazing Greek fare (the best baklava we've had traveling Greece so far)!! If you are in Athens and looking for something awesome, you must stop in here and a superb time and take the memories home with you!! I missed a picture of dessert, baklava with tangerine sorbet 🍊, amazingly delicious and fresh!!

Amazing hidden little gem with wonderful workers. The owner and his team went out of their way to make me feel welcome and it made my last night in Athens the best experience I could’ve asked for. I sat alone outside and peacefully read a book while I ate delicious food and had amazing cocktails. Definitely recommend!

They hosted me so nicely in this wonderful tavern that I went to alone, I can’t express it enough. Also, the best Dolma I have ever eaten in my life was here. They also offered mastika while leaving. I will definitely go again.

We visited in February. We were the only ones in. The menu was more limited than usual. We wanted traditional homemade Greek food. Back in the 70s my Mum was cooking International food. It took my back to those days of growing up. Great flavours. Great taste, genuine foid. Our host was so interested and great fun. Thanks, a VERY memorable 59th birthday (for a life long foodie).. We shared starters of wild mushroom starter in lemon, parsley, garlic and butter sauce, plus the chick peas and ?... very tasty. I had the beef and orzo (pasta and not rice). My wife had the Kleftiko (pork). The house red was 8euro a half litre, we had two. We had two complimentary Tsipouro ( Thankyou).

The good ratings do not lie in the reviews. The food was so delicious! We got mini cheese pies with fyllio, dolmadakia vine leaves, and the beef with orzo & tomato. We were well cared for by the staff who are friendly, professional, and english accomodating. Our waitress even gave us free shots (Mastiha?) at the end. We had a great experience here and definitely recommend.

Wonderful place! The food was great, everything in the best quality. The service and hospitality (by Cleopatra and her colleagues) were outstanding. We were a big table with 4 little children, and it's never easy to make it work. The team went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Thomas Tavern was recommended by our hotel as a local, affordable, authentic dinner option. It did not disappoint! The staff was warm and friendly from the moment we walked up. Cleopatra walked us through the menu and made recommendations along the way. The Cheese Pie is a must try! Our entrees (baked fish and grilled chicken) were also delicious! The baklava was the best I’ve ever had! After dinner we were offered mastiha. It was so good! Cleopatra and Ava explained the difference between two mastiha brands and told us where we can find them 😉 Overall, fantastic experience and cannot wait for the chance to go back!
