The street the place is facing is loud, dirty, under construction and has somewhat local yet not-so-nice atmosphere that’s the only downside but the rest - the atmosphere of the place inside, the friendliness of the staff, absolutely tasty dishes, was perfect. I’d love to live right next to it so that I can come down here for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I can absolutely recommend this place.

5-star breakfast ! The breakfast served at OMBRELA is worthy of the best 5-star hotels in Europe! -- Avocado toast is the best I ever tasted, bar none. The children loved the naan-sandwich, the perfectly cooked sunny-side up eggs, and the delicious cinnamon buns. -- The Cappuccino is the best in the area -- prepared with great care from prime beans in a top-of-the line professional espresso machine. Overall: + Fine-dining-level breakfast + The owner is a trained cook (and it shows) + Outstanding coffee - Lack of a "fast breakfast" package (e.g., coffee, pastry & juice for, say, €7-8) for those days when you don't have time to sit down for a full breakfast Notes : For some unexplainable reason, OMBRELA does not advertise itself as a "breakfast" place, but only as a "brunch" place. Many people miss it because of that.

Great place to work and study, the tables are big and some of them have electricity sockets. The service and the food was good as well and they have great financier cookies with the coffee

So far the best brunch/breakfast place in Athens! If you think that avocado toast can’t surprise you, you must try the one from Ombrela! Tasty, crunchy, with a little Greek twist (take it with feta!). If you want to try something unusual - try the cake with beetroot. Highly recommended! + avocado toast 10/10 + nice coffee + beautiful plates <3 + good value for money;

I love this cafe. All the food is delicious, but I recently fell in love with the cauliflowers salad. Staff is polite, friendly, and solicitous. High recommend. I ate here probably three times a week! Edit to add that their hospitality is unrivaled. I once got locked out of my flat and they were kind enough to let me use their phone (multiple times) and even gave me some water on a hot summer day. Thank you all so much!

The Umbrella Cafe is located on the corner of a pedestrian street and is run by a very nice and polite couple. We enjoyed breakfast here a few times and highly recommend trying their Greek coffee. The breakfast menu is very nice and the food and hot drinks are prepared perfectly, with dishes featuring really smart combinations of flavors. Overall, the Umbrella Cafe is an excellent breakfast/brunch spot.

I simply loved this little gem of a bistro. The staff is amazing and friendly, the food tasty, fresh and well presented. Try the chocolate brownie - it's to die for!

Cozy café that one may not easily notice. Yet, it has perhaps the best brunch I have tasted in Athens so far. Sensational avocado on toast with poached eggs. Very friendly staff, welcoming and smiley. Highly recommended!

Excellent breakfast/brunch restaurant in Pagrati. One of those places that naturally have really good vibe. Owner preparing dishes and his partner taking orders and chatting with guests. Food is prepared perfectly and dishes have really smart combinations of flavours. If you’re in Pagrati you can have breakfast here and then visit magnificent Goulandris gallery which is just few steps away. Goulandris gallery have their own breakfast/branch place but food isn’t that good.

I had brunch 30th July 23. Two days ago . If I lived in Athens I would be a regular customer. Very easy to rest, relax and enjoy great food . I highly recommend!!

Good place for breakfast. They have porridge! I tried to find porridge for breakfast for many days.. And this porridge is fantastic! Eggs are delicious too. And very pleasant woman who served food. Love this place!

I had the granola bowl with Greek yoghurt and a flat white. Granola was perfect, and I liked the idea of serving it, beside the Greek yoghurt, not on top of it. Average coffee though, not my type. Super friendly staff! Upd: the carrot cake that I bought for takeaway was absolutely my fave. Worth trying!

I spent two weeks in Athens and this is the place I kept coming back to. The brunch menu is delicious (try the thing with meat and yoghurt!), and the service is super nice. The one place I'm recommending everyone!

Hidden gem! Sensational brunch, and finally a cafe in Athens that makes superb single origin coffee. I chatted with the owners & it explains how good the menu is. They’re two chefs who have worked all over Europe & are now back in Athens serving food just a little different than anywhere else. They make everything from scratch & feature produce from their family farm from the island of Kythira. I was so impressed I went back at night for their bar menu & it did not disappoint! Even the cocktails were good.
