They still show Pluto as a planet of the solar system. We attended the Hindi version, and one suggestion is that it would be good if they mention English names of technical objects like supernova, white dwarf, etc. more often. They should be more strict about people not using their mobile phones while the show is on. See that you reach at least 5 - 10 mins before the show, so that you can see the small exhibition / pictures / models kept near the ticket window. They do not allow us to visit that area after the show ends. Show timings are 4, 5 and 6 pm.

The planetarium is very well renovated. The program is a little dated but it is still informative and entices curiosity in astronomy, especially in children. As it is offered in all three main languages viz. Gujarati 4pm, English 5pm and Hindi 6pm, it is appealing to all sections of society.

Good for kids. But if you're above 12yrs, you'll feel bored. Too basic stuff. The lighting and the construction is awesome though. It's good to relive the ISRO's past. Fees is Rs20 with three shows running in English, Hindi and Gujarati (one show each) from 4 to 7 pm

Best place to visit All your curiosities about outer space are waiting to be answered right in Sayaji Baug at the Sardar Patel Planetarium. Near railway station and bus depo With awe-striking video clips of space, state-of-the-art sound systems and a curved projection screen that imitates reality, this planetarium plays an hour-long session about the solar system, satellites and astronomical history thrice a day in English and Gujarati. Beautiful

The planetarium show is not at all enjoyable as a real planetarium should be. Your neck pain when the slides show is only on one side of the dome screen. It's not a planetarium show...just a projector show with still photos.

Recently I visited it, and found it has been closed from more than a month due to some machine issue. Place is located in Sayaji Bagh amid lush green area. Architecture of building is beautiful.

Very informative place for kids. The ticket price is very nominal. Kids enjoyed a lot. But the show needs be updated. Overall worth visiting with kids. They have dig shows in Hindi, Gujarati and English language

Best place to go with childrens, Visual knowledge about Planets and solar system. 20-30 minutes show in three languages Gujarati, Hindi and English

Felt more like an astrology show than astronomy. Underutilized resources, lack of qualified personal to handle and maintain the projector. Only infrastructure will not help, utilization of these requires to employ astronomers well versed to create an interesting story for kids and adults to understand and enjoy.

Not at all good even for kids, They show slides on roof like panel, They use projectors to show stars and their settings in sky and different constellations(rashi). The light is too dim on projector to clearly see the stars. Its in pure Hindi good to hear but difficult to understand thanks to our education system. For 20 rs its good for kids,chairs are good. On 98 tickets one person can get 4 tickets, go early before the previous show end as you have to stand in line to get tickets atleast on Sunday.

Good info. for children. Only drawback is that all information provided is according to vadic indian astro. Children are unable to resemble it with their studies.

I visited today. It seems lots of improvement needs including sound system picturizeatio as we are in 21st century. And what ever the information shared. I expect that they should add some more information.

Planetarium is good with 3D show about planets. Show in Hindi was ok. For show, you have to stand in a queue for 30 mins at least during public holidays and on weekends.

No online booking.. Only 98 seats available on 4th june 2023. Why you need to make renovation in summer vacation. Don't you have common sense that now a days many kids come to watch. Very wrong management.. Vadodara you should improve this place management and ticket booking facility.

Overall average experience, projector needs improvement ( very dull colour), also English show is needed ( instead of two hindi show back to back )

Very limited seats .Had to que up in peak summer heat to buy tickets. Projector quality is also bad. I think they are using some 1980s projector. To compensate they have added a high school quality power point presentation on the screen to work.

Worst management. They are still in 1980’s era of management. Need to upgrade and provide digital platforms for ticket booking for planetarium. You have to stand in queue and need to pray to get the tickets. Worst management. VMC please come out of orthodox thinking and learn from AMC and SMC…👎👎

I visited today i. E. 28/11/2023 but it is closed. I was inform that It has been closed since tree months and no information about when it will open. So please confirm before visit.
