Our stay at Thekkekkara Tourist Home in Vagamon, Kerala, was a delightful experience. The budget-friendly rooms not only provided a comfortable stay but also exceeded expectations for the price. Double rooms are big and single room was a bit small not enough space I would say. Washroom was a bit small but okay. Hot water was available 24x7. The caretaker's friendliness and hospitality added a personal touch to our visit. Their attentiveness and eagerness to ensure our comfort were truly commendable, making us feel welcomed and valued. Situated in a prime location, Thekkekkara Tourist Home offers easy access to key attractions, enhancing the overall convenience of the stay. It was a nice stay close to the market and room & amenities are good and reasonable for the price property is actually 100 mtr away from the place mentioned in map , all the nearby attractions are easily accessible.view in morning meadows opposite to property is stunning caretaker were kind and it's very peaceful atmosphere we found there.

We were staying in Tekkekara Family Rooms for 2 nights. The owner was friendly he arranged us the jeep for the off road trip. we paid 2250 for few places like Idukki Dam view, and one falls + cave, and one high mountain view of infinity falls. since we are just two we felt like it was costly. if you are 4+ persons then it would be optimal and good. The driver was good and calm person. he don't do any circus on off road ride. Safe and Good :-) Our first concern was food. near by shops not having breakfast or lunch. hotel also only room option. we need to travel for food. The room was not good for the cost. Especially the beds are not good. it can be improved. Please keep the breakfast option even if it is paid also fine. we can't travel for each food. Hotel is just road side. so nothing comment about the location. we can just say it is reachable.

If you r looking for a decent, family oriented place, close to all restaurants and centrally located, pls go for this. We chose the one which is directly on the road, so we didn't have the view. It's in the main town and we had small children so it benefited us coz of shops etc. The owner is v kind and helped us with locations. We were offered help to arrange jeep. Snacks and water was available at the shop downstairs. The rooms are v neat, big enough for family of 2 adults n 2 kids. Bathrooms are neat.

I appreciate the owner’s supportive attitude, which was certainly a positive aspect of my stay. However, I encountered several issues related to the room and bathroom facilities. The room was just okay, but the bathroom conditions were notably below expectations. It had a resemblance to a public toilet with a persistent bad smell. While I understand the need for ventilation, the ducts present in both the room and bathroom seemed to be ineffective. Additionally, at night it became uncomfortably cold due to these ducts, and cigarette smoke entered the room, which significantly affected my comfort.

The owner was very helpful. The rooms were very neat. We got stranded in vagamon adventures park at night without any cab or auto to return. We called the owner he arranged an auto for us we sre very thankful for that. He also arrnaged a off road trek for us with the people in another room so had to pay only half the price. One suggestion is bedseets could have more cleaner. The thattukada hotel nearby was a great option for food.

Very very bad experience. The rooms are not clean and smell of the room is bad also the towels are used there as mat . Customer service are worst . Totally worst of money. No one go there 🙏
