Superb place to relax... nice environment. Surrounded by Mountain Range. Need to walk down the hill to reach water falls... Go with Friends and Enjoy. For ladies Dress changing room available. Crowded during weakends and Holidays. If you go there in weak days you can spend more time. If you go there you will forget everything after seeing the falls and the surrounding atmosphere.

The most beautiful and adventurous place. 2200 steps down and up. Need lot of stamina. Keeps yourself cool so you can go down and climb up. Taking bath in water falls is really breathtaking. Views are excellent. Be cautious while going near to falls as the pavement stops there.

Aprox 1500 steps.. We have to buy entry ticket of Rs.20 per head. Plastic items are strictly prohibited, No place to change dress and no restroom in falls, carry towel alone to dry yourself. Near Arpaleeswarar Shivan temple you get rest room for Bath Rs.30 and to change clothes Rs.10 per head maintenance is average without dirty smell.

Very fine water falls. We have to step down almost 1000 steps to reach the falls and step up to reach the top. Afternoon after 2.00pm not allowed to enter in to the step. Morning is suitable time.

I will tell you every important thing about this place. It has an entry point near the Arapaleeswarar temple. Tickets are charged at 30 Rupees for Adults and 20 Rupees for Children. Total distance is about 1 Km on a single way to reach the falls. But the trickiest part is that this 1 Km is full of foot path with steep steps and inclined slopes. Be prepared to sweat it all out while reaching and coming back. Strictly avoid carrying infants, people with heart problems, knee/joint pain and people with other ailments who usually cannot climb more than 2 floors at once. The view that this falls provides is simple breath taking , you cannot see anything ever close to this in your life time inside Tamilnadu or probably South India. It would take 30 minutes to go down and 1 hour to climb back. Be prepared to spend around 30 mins enjoying the falls, which means you have to allocate 2 hours minimum for this place. Also note that after getting back, you cannot do much sightseeing later in the day as you will be exhausted. Start early in the morning and come back before lunch as they don’t allow post 3 PM.

You need to walk 1200 steps, close to 300 steps are steep, otherwise you can climb easily. Wear comfortable footwear and clothes. We went with casual clothes played and came back with the same clothes. Stayed sometime in the sun and our dress got dried. Ladies, No rooms for changing clothes, so don't carry unnecessary luggage with you like changing clothes, cosmetics etc. Carry waterbottle and snacks. You may require refreshment while coming back. The water is falling from a big height, very nice feel and terrific experience, Enjoyed a lot. Played nicely with the water flow. Easily we spent four hours in the water, no fever or cold. Carry mobile phone with a waterproof cover. Very few people go to this falls, but I would suggest female crowrd or family crowd can choose this falls. We went in November it was so nice experience and had good time. Water flow is super good, we enjoyed and played very well.

Mesmerising… Its nothing like anything you would have seen before. Surprisingly it’s one of the few falls in India which is dangerously scary and still allowed for public bathing. Approach: Entrance for the falls is right next to the Arapaleshwar temple. 1060 steps and not a step less. The steps are well constructed and nicely maintained but they are hell steep. Near vertical for most part. Not easy to navigate. Entry allowed from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm only (strictly). Post the steps one has to walk about 100 mtrs on a rocky terrain to reach the fall. Duration: 30 mins down hill 45 mins enjoy bathing 45 mins uphill Timing: Try visiting in early morning hours to avoid the crowd and to enjoy the cool water and breeze. Winter time is best since the water volume is good. The fall: The fall has a surrounding pool of about 50mtrs wide. Even on a lean water day the pool is more than 7ft deep in some parts so need to be careful. Ropes are tied for crossing the pool but still not a cake walk. People with kids should not think of carrying their kids in their arms and crossing the pool. The pool is very rocky and deep. The fall is simply awe inspiring and voluminous. I guess it’s at-least 100+ feet high and falling water hits you like a thousand pins. The feeling is simply exhilarating. Waterfall mist is so strong you will get wet even though standing 50mtrs away from the fall. The way back is exhausting. Keep the rest of the day free.

It's a great experience to visit this place. You will need to climb around 1200 steps and crawl through rocks to reach the falls. All the tiredness of climbing the steps will go off when you get drenched in the water. Must visit place in Kolli Hills

What a hidden gem Kolli Hills falls is! The pristine waterfalls amidst the picturesque landscape were a sight to behold. A fantastic place to connect with nature and unwind. Keep in mind that there's a stunning staircase of 1200 approximately steps to descend and ascend, adding an extra layer of adventure to your visit.

Such a beautiful waterfall.... It's really a bliss to sit in the breeze! To reach the fall, you must Get down nearly a km and the step counts around 1200. 20mins to reach the falls. Steps are very steep and very hard to climb up. It took 45mins to come back and I would not recommend it for aged or elderly people... Entry fee is INR 30 per adult and no parking fees. Carry your own water bottle and something to munch as there's only 2 shops on the way. Also please be responsible to care for the environment and don't litter 🚮.

Main attraction in Kolli Hills. You park at the temple or before the temple at the designated spot. There is 50rs parking fee when you enter the designated parking place. There is a small walk from the parking place to the temple. You go around the temple to get to the entry point of the stairs goes to the fall. They say it is 1000 stairs to the fall, a medium hike. For many people it is tough hike when coming back. The best time is the early morning because and few times there are too may people there. You have to stair down to the falls then a little hike to get to the falls. The stair way is in good shape with few steep sections. Falls are very scenic and relaxing. You can get into the falls and sit there under the water. It is rain water fall so water increases it there is a rain otherwise the water flow is nominal to low but enough. Please take your trash with you.

And after u climb back there is one more falls nearby, ask the shop keepers as sitraruvi(small aruvi) - which will be around 50 steps only u can enjoy that too...

Loved this place and wonderful waterfalls Aagaya Gangai Waterfalls. Spent beautiful time and made sweetest memories here with my office colleague brothers. Beautiful waterfalls but need to trek down to the waterfalls from top of mountain to enjoy this beautiful place. But worth for trekking. Risky place too, so be careful with water speed and mountain risks when trekking.

Climbing down the 1000 odd steps makes the falls even more worthwhile to see and enjoy. The Rocky steps towards the end could be risky for elderly and kids. Be careful when Reaching the falls using rope during heavy flow. Metal pathway or railings could be better for even more people to reach the falls crossing the pool.

It will take 20-30 minutes walk downhill (Includes steep stairs) to reach. You can enjoy in the water fall, water level was medium during our visit. So it depends on the season for water level. Always take your spare dress, because you going to change your mind after seeing the water.

May be the quote was written by someone claimed through aagaya gangai stairs :) "Greatest view comes after the hardest climb". One of the best waterfalls I ever visited. Definitely not for elders or person with health issues.

30 rupees entry fee. 1200 steps to reach waterfall. Route has spots to sit, water and toilet facilites. To access the fall need to wade through water that can be almost 6 feet deep. There is a single rope tied for guiding across, but it's an adventurous crossing. There are no facilities for locker or change clothes. Ascent is tiring with steep climb and uneven steps. Good experience for the young and adventurous.

Seriously it is a great experience to visit this falls and you need to climb around 1200 steps and crawl through rocks to reach the falls. All the tiredness of climbing the steps will go off when you get drenched in the water. Its really a wonderfull experience here and you will get good herbal soup , fruits and other groceries near this fall and its worth for our money. They have huge parking slot and 20 rs per person to allow inside of falls. Timings : i dont know the opening time of this falls but gate will be closed @3PM. After 3 pm no one will be allowed inside of falls. But after 3pm, inside people can enjoy the falls upto 5PM.

Agaya Gangai Waterfalls is one of the most magnificent waterfalls located in the Kolli Hills of Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu, India. Water from the Agaya Gangai Falls flows to the Arapaleeswarar Temple atop the Kolli Hills through the Gangai Panchanati forest. It is a natural waterfall that is created by the River Aiyaru and is surrounded by lush green forests and steep hills, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The waterfall is situated in the dense forest area of the eastern Ghats, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. As the waterfall is surrounded by lush green forest and beautiful hills it becomes the perfect spot for trekking and hiking. The trek is not very difficult, but it requires some physical fitness. For regular trekkers, it is just a moderate level of difficulty but for beginners, it is a bit difficult when compared as the steps are steep. As the trek is surrounded by the forest, visitors can see a variety of flora, and fauna, and also spot some rare species of birds and animals in the forest during the trek. One must climb 1196 steps to get to Agaya Gangai Waterfalls. The steps are quite steep and the climb down takes 10 mins whereas the climb up takes 20-25 mins. On the route, many shelters are constructed for resting purposes. The Pambati Siddhar Cave, which is close to Agaya Gangai Waterfall, can also be visited.

Senior citizens please avoid this location as its very difficult due to steep inclination. Waterfall view is breathtaking. Carry glucose/chocolates, as there are no shops during the steps journey.

A beautiful place, strong waterfalls cascading from a height of 300 feet. It is certainly not for the faint hearted, one has to descend 1000 steps to reach the waterfall, that is the easier part. getting back climbing the 1000 steps would be testing ones stamina and determination. A warm day would perhaps make it more difficult. Check the weather. The waterfalls area has some amount of safety aids in the form of ropes and pillars. One has to be cautious as the rocks are slippery and the water force is heavy at places under the falls. There is a small water body where one can take a dip and relax. There are no decent place or shelter to change, one has to manage in the open. Overall a very nice experience.

Wonderful Waterfalls❤️ Pure bliss🤍 But have to get down 1800 steps ,the challenging part is climbing up again. Old people can avoid. Parking available ✅ There are few decent hotels around the area✅ It's closes by 3 PM sometimes depending on the luck they will allow after that. Entry is ₹30

"Seeku Paarai viewpoint was closed when we arrived, so we went to 'Agaya Gangai.' One of the tallest waterfall in TN and it was a great experience. Entry was Rs.40 for adults, with a plastic check at the entrance. Visitors carrying plastics need a Rs.10 label, refundable after the visit. There are 1196 steps to the falls, recommended for adults with light baggage. The breathtaking waterfall seems like water flowing from the sky. A must-visit spot for friends and family."
