Super great service! We ordered quite a bit and the food came out really fast. The meat was really tender, chicken was great seasoning, and the grits had a great cheesy flavor. Wonderful people working there and will definitely come back again!

I wasn’t sure on how exactly to rate the place seeing as how it was a mixed bag in my opinion. It’s not an establishment where you are seated, then you order. You order at a counter and then you take a seat. I ordered the Georgia Po Boy with fries and collard greens. While I loved the sandwich—especially the fried green tomatoes!!—it took quite a while for my food to come out. I had to go to the front to check on it. The sweet tea and lemonade were great. The fries were ok, and personally, I thought the greens were too sweet. (My friend had the wings with mac & cheese and greens. She enjoyed her wings and the mac, the greens not so much.) I’m not sure if I’d go back there.

If you in town you gotta try this place. Wings, smackin. Shrimp and grits bussin. Cajun cream sauce, everything. Dirty rice, hella good. And Nick is so friendly and accommodating. Our family can eat and he made sure to check on not only us but everyone in the restaurant multiple times. Good conversation and friendly people. Music is a vibe. Bartender amazing. There is nothing I can say bad about this place.

So my spouse and I travel quite often and always try to support the mom and pop shops while on the road. While visiting we came across this gem. When I tell you everything about this visit was a 10/10. The staff was super friendly and down to earth. We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing. I told her I was a rum drinker and she recommended a drink that was probably the best Rum type punch I've had. The drinks were larger in proportion so you definitely get your moneys worth. We decided to split a stuffed turkey leg with dirty rice. We opted to add shrimp and chicken. BEST TURKEY LEG IVE HAD. Everything stuffed down to the sauce tasted homemade. The portions were so large, I nor my man could finish it. We ended up taking about a third of it back to the room and finishing it off for breakfast. We both regretted not getting one to go for the next day as they were closed on Sundays (the next day). If you ever are in town this is a hidden jewel you must try.

We are out of towner's driving through, decided to go out of our way to get some soul food while in Georgia. This place did not disappoint. Everything was hot, fresh and some of the best food I've ever eaten. Exceptional hospitality, great value and fast service!

Food was good, hot and fresh. Servers was great they were nice and pleasant. I loved how they didn't wait for all the food to be ready to bring out, they brought it out as it was done in the kitchen. Thank God!!!

I absolutely LOVE the shrimp and grits however this time I am not sure if I will come back! I always order online, so ordered at 4:00pm, expected time was 4:40pm, got there at 5:00pm to be greeted with a “your side is going to be 15 minute wait” so I substituted for something else(which is fine). My plate was given to me like the pic below( took it in the parking lot) very disappointed!!

Wow! I came for a visit and my sister brought me. I’ve always wanted to try shrimp and grits, and these were delicious. We shared and also had macaroni and cheese and sweet potato casserole. Their lemonade is very good too. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely the best soul food and smoked meats around South Valdosta,GA you can dine in or out but here at the restaurant is the best, the service and scenery are one of a kind! Curbside order. Big Nick’s barbecue in Valdosta FL. While on a business trip, it was recommended as a locale restaurant. Two other co-workers and I checked the reviews of the restaurant. None of the reviews mentioned the food, all were about customer service. We decided since we would be getting carry out it would be fine. The only problem I had was there are no curbside parking spots, although, there was an option on the website for curbside pick up. When we drove up we just drove around the building and ended up in the drive thru. Once you enter you cannot get out. We waited 10-15 minutes. In this time I called to find out if the drive through was where we pick up and she said yes. My other co-worker drove up and went inside to get her food. We were just so tired we did not want to get out. Which was the purpose of curbside. The food: I ordered the wing and shrimp entree with Mac and cheese, wings lemon pepper flavored. It was good the shrimp were jumbo and the wing had lemon zest on them, love that. Both flavored well. The Mac and cheese was good I ate it warm but when I heated it later it was even better not dry or watery. My coworkers both got shrimps and grits one with coleslaw and Mac and cheese. She said, it all was good. The coleslaw and Mac and cheese was great. The grits creamy. The other also had collard greens, green beans and sweat potato casserole. She also was pleased with the meal especially the green beans. Pricing: $15-$20. My wings and shrimp entree did not come with a side because I paid $3.00 for the Mac and cheese. On the menu all the sides were $3.00. Menu: When I speak of the menu I am referring to the online menu: The menu is not detailed and doesn’t tell you anything about what you are getting or your options. I totally understand since it is a local restaurant saving coins but at least note sides are not included. There are some food items that are only available on specific days they are crossed out. Atmosphere: As I said I did not dine in. Recommend: Yes I would recommend 💐

I believe my cashier may have been new, but the service she provided was just okay. I told her what I wanted, and she jotted it down at the register, no explanations given. I tried to make it obvious by asking a question that I was unfamiliar with the menu. Next time I'll voice that better. Now to the food. We had the fish dinner, which came with 2 pieces of catfish/swaii. The pieces were a great size, in my opinion. They came out piping hot, which I appreciate. The flavor was just fine. I had a side of collard greens that, in my opinion, were fine but on the salty side. And fried okra that may have been taken out of the fryer before the rest of the food because they didn't come out very hot, they were just fine. That came with 2 hush puppies, which were yummy. We also had a pulled pork sandwich, which was good, but could have had something else in it, maybe. It was lacking something. We got a side of Mac and cheese, which was dryer than the Sahara, lacked flavor, and seemed like maybe it was a few days old. 0/10 to the Mac. The drink station is pepsi and teas, which are all the way at the front. Getting a refill is a bit inconvenient when you are sitting at the tables to the back. And the floor was immensely sticky I'll leave my review at 4/5 until I try more of the menu. I feel like this could be a great place with a few changes.

Everything was delicious. I come book shopping in Valdosta a lot and I don’t think I’ll ever Grace the door of another lunch spot while this place is open. I got the veggie plate (four sides and bread) + a medium drink for $12 bucks. Everything was hot and obviously fresh. Sweet tea was perfectly southern 10/10 baked beans, sweet potato casserole, and Mac and cheese 10/10 and I don’t even usually like BBQ sauce but this one was great. I think this is the best cheese grits I’ve ever tasted…. Staff was also very nice! Beautiful art work everywhere

Wow this place is amazing. Stopped in on a business trip to watch football, get a cold beer, and some good food. Wings were outstanding and pulled pork nachos were money. Great beer prices in happy hour and staff was wonderful. If in Valdosta GA stop by and you'll be delighted with result

Just no. Asked for well done shrimp it wasn’t. Got back to me burnt. By now the chicken is hot I don’t argue his staff is workin hard so they’d get high ratings. 3 stars cause I’ve been here before and it was okay

The food here is so good we come all the way from Tallahassee to enjoy it! The ribs, rib tips, wings, and sides are all 10/10. I will say you should pack your patience if coming on a weekend because it’s VERY busy and they cook food fresh to order. We always order online ahead of time and then add 20 min to ensure it’s ready when we arrive. It’s always worth the wait. As a blond Caucasian family, we do get side eye from customers sometimes but I always just respond with a smile. We will continue to support black owned businesses when they provide excellent food and service with a smile. Thanks Big Nick for always giving us amazing food when we travel to Valdosta.
