Our reservation for this hotel was scheduled for 2 nights and we only stayed a few hours. It is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in. The stairs were dirty and littered. The hallways too. In the room that they assigned us, the supposed executive chair that they advertise on their page was nothing more than the skeleton of a chair that was falling apart. There were no tissues or any kind of napkins. When we tried to turn on the TV there was no remote control. We called the front desk to have them send us one and the one they provided us did not work. We called again to have it changed and they told us that they did not have any other, that we should change it manually. Imagine, like in the old days, you have to get out of bed every time you want to change the TV. The front desk staff, especially the Manager named April, does not have any training in customer satisfaction because she was rude and she did not want to give us any option to reward the bad time. We asked to be moved to another room where the TV would work and to change the TV that had a remote but it refused all our requests. They told us to call Choice, which was the company with which we made the reservation for the refund of the money, and They said that we had to leave the hotel first. After all this, an hour and a half after arriving, we returned to Florida traveling another 4 hours. We call Choice again and they say we have to call the hotel because they haven't checked us out yet. Anyway, the hot potato game. We traveled more than 4 hours to get to Valdosta, GA with the idea of buying a house and moving but we were really disappointed with the treatment we received. We still don't know if we will get the money back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL.

Always use Choice Hotels and am almost always happy but this is my first two-star review of a Choice venue. Front staff was nice but overall this stay was not pleasant. Rooms smelled bad, cigarette burns in bedding, broken furniture, and people arguing and swearing in the parking lot at 3am. Not the hotel’s fault but why does every budget hotel in the country have to be like this? It’s located in a decent area; right across from mall. Should have a little brighter look and feel.

Room wasn't super clean and there were some bugs inside it. It smelled of stale air and cigarette smoke(non-smoking room). They need a ozone machine in the room for a few days to clean that part of it! Coffee maker was missing a piece that holds the Coffee packet, and the staff wasn't even visible when I was checking out, to get a receipt for the stay. No one was restocking the food at the breakfast area either.

Canceled a Confirmed Reservation and then when I showed up to check in, desk clerk said she had no reservation for me. I got my phone and read her the confirmation number. She says "Oh, I canceled that reservation." I asked why and she stated she didn't have the room. Yet, I was never notified. I am a Diamond member. I called Choice Privileges, they were not happy about it, but gave few options or consolation. Credibility and trust LOST!! I would like a call from the owner ASAP.

Internet didn't work and reported to desk and they gave number for tech support. Called and was advised that wifi doesn't work and that tech was called to come to the hotel. Bleach smell very strong on entering room. Bedside table had something sticky spilled on it that was never cleaned up.

We tried to get a room at 4pm on Jan 2/23 using a tourist coupon from the Georgia booklet at the welcome centre. The desk clerk said there were no clean rooms but maybe in an hour. At 5pm she said there were no rooms available and that the cleaning staff got tired and went home. Another couple were there at the same time and had also been told to come back in an hour. Nobody should ever stay at a Quality Inn. QUALITY ????? We will never consider a Quality Inn in the future. We went across to an EconoLodge which was terrific for $2.00 less than Quality Inn.

room 147, clean has a fridge, TV, and microwave. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Bed and pillows are comfortable. One downside is missing a duvet. At night, I froze the floor of the sheet. A small lizard was found in the bathroom. please answer me: why was there no blanket and bath towels? I didn't sleep all night, I warmed my legs. why and for whom the guests write. You don't even respond to reviews. This is not respect for us. Don't work on fixing bugs. Maybe all the same you decide and sell this business to a person who will work and bring joy to the client. Yesterday, after hard work, I could not close my eyes because it was cold. I didn't rest

Our room had roaches, we only saw one and it was a baby but I am sure mommy was somewhere nearby. The receptionist was the only positive as she was friendly throughout the whole ordeal. She offered us another room but I couldn’t trust it because the lighting was terrible, making it too dark to see if there were any critters. The receptionist refunded everything without hesitation and remained pleasant throughout so she gets a star for that.

We booked this hotel for our road trip a week ago. They cancel our reservation at 9:36pm the day of our arrival. We were 20 minutes away with 2 young children. No explanation and no help with another reservation. Very poor customer service. To add to insult: they cancelled our room and didn't even refund my money until I called. So they would've kept the money while cancelling my room the night we were supposed to arrive.

It appeared to have homeless people staying there and they were very skimpy with the towels. I only had one. A man came in and wanted a towel, the woman said he had to wait until 10:00 a.m. when the maids got there. I brought him my extra hand towels after going upstairs.

$81 for a double bed room after tax, $98.20, which for a rundown hotel seems a little steep. Called to see if we could check in early, and she said sure, sweet. Get here to find out there is a $20 up fee on checking in early, $10 for late check out, and extra charge for pets, which we have none, but you might want to ask before showing up. I have never heard of this, at any of the other choice hotels. Is this a new scam to nickle & dim customers! I have stayed here before had to move several rooms before, because a/c didn't work in one, frig didn't work in another. This time around, everything worked, but the smell of mildew was horrible. The whole carpet was sticky, and I don't want to know why, but that's just nasty. 2 small towels, girlfriend is small, but I'm large & one towel ain't drying me off had to air dry, if your going to stay bring your own blankets they have a coloered sheet as a blanket & the normal sheets. If y'all are going to nickle & dime customers. Next time, I'll take my business someplace else. The atmosphere feels super unsafe, after checking in watched a old person walk out their room go to some bushes & start ripping leaves off & throwing them to the ground then walked back inside their room, that was creepy. I've been here several times & every time it gets worse & more expensive, next time I'm in town, I won't be staying here, so I can stay at a nicer hotel for the money!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE TO EVER STAY. When we checked in and walked in our room, there was hair and stains on the sheets. Then we were moved to a room that had the mattresses on some bootleg wooden structure that weren’t bed rails. The place is a nasty mess with nasty, lying employees. Absolutely disgusting!!!

Reserved two days before trip. Checked in August 14, 2023. Ordered king size bed. Had a queen bed. Roaches everywhere. Vanity light above sink dismantled and pieces left every where. Bath room had not been cleaned, used shampoo and bar soap left in shower with hair all over it. Called manager for room clean-up. No response. To tired to argue. Next morning we were told the room was under maintenance and should not have been used. They only had one maintenance girl working. The reason we didn't get the room we were suppose to get. Got a PARTIAL refund. Still have not gotten full refund. Will not be back to that motel.

Domestic situation in the room next to me. Management did nothing about it. Kept us up all night. Homeless people outside just hanging around. Was a lady smoking a cigarette with her under 10 aged child right beside her on a bed. No microwave or freezer. Beds stained and holes in sheets. No bugs (that I saw) but the only thing that saved the stay was the lady at the front desk. She was super sweet and felt really bad about the situation.

0/10 experience!!! This was the worst motel experience I have ever had. There were dead roaches in the hotel room, malfunctioning door locks, and incompetent and inexperienced employees who lack customer service skills. This motel is NOT worth trying to save an extra few dollars!!! It isn’t clean and it does not feel safe. We were given a room that looked disgusting and like someone else was staying in it. The bed sheets were a mess. There was trash all over the table and counter. The towels in the bathroom were wet and used. When we tried to show pictures to the front desk employees and demand better service, we were met with attitude and they refused to look at the pictures. You really get what you’re paying for by coming here. The rooms are filthy and the building is rundown. Would not recommend this place to anybody!

Stayed in February and everything was great but returned March 31st and would not come back again. Was told this time that the place had been sold and they would not offer travel coupons. The room had a toilet problem that I was able to find a worker to fix, He had to reboot the router for the internet to work. The door security latch was broken so we had to put a chair in front of the door.

Travel to Valdosta twice a year for the last 5 years and always booked at this location. Made reservations through Choice Hotels and when I arrived around 9:30pm clerk said we don't have any rooms. I said I have a reservation she stated back they overbooked and I needed to call them back. I contacted Choice Hotels and the guy tried to get me a room at their sister hotel Econo Lodge. After being on the phone for 45 minutes he returns and states he couldn't get me a room and they cover the first night. I would have to pay and he's sorry for wasting so much time. I went next door to Baymont Inn and they had a room for the night. Quality had curtains open to the rooms and had at least 10 rooms with no one staying in them. Meet a couple guys the next morning that attended the same events each trip and they stated there were no towels in the rooms. This location has gone down in the last year and I will never book a room here again.

First room had a broken smoke detector that was beeping constantly. The second room looked like someone had kicked in the front door and forcefully removed the person staying there! No lock on the door! No working phone! No smoke detector at all! No working alarm clock! No tissues! No toilet paper holder! The room also was not very clean in general and there was food in the microwave! In the end the second room was worse than the first but quiet and we were desperate and exhausted. We blocked the door with furniture in the room and talked with the morning manager who said they are short handed. I told him that they should never rent out rooms like this. Definitely tarnished my opinion of Choice Hotels Group. I will never stay at this location again!

This was not a quality experience, my brother in law made us a reservation, but once we arrived at almost 11 at night, the woman said we didn't have a room because we weren't him, and then when canceled expecting her to let us just book the room there and then, she said, "no it's probably gone now." How would it have been gone if we just canceled? That makes zero sense. We're on a very long 3 day trip and just needed a place to sleep, I found that to be highly rude and unprofessional. Petty even. 0/10 do not recommend.

Dingy, smelly, outdated room. Phone did not work. TV remote did not work. Two towels but we had signed up for 3 guests. Sheets had stains on them. No artwork on any walls. All lights (even the bathroom) had low watt bulbs so the room stayed dim even with all lights on. We asked the front desk if any alternate rooms were available & were told all rooms were the same. The breakfast area doesn't even have the same tables as their pictures. Drab, dreary & outdated. Never again.

This place was the worst place I've ever stayed! Double charged for room. Had to move 3 times to different rooms. Toilet was clogged in first room, second room had no heat and no phone, booked a king but ended up in a queen. rooroom

Big disappointment.. been there before and getting worse.. one set of towels, no WiFi, stains on bed sheets, very uncomfortable feeling. Staff was pleasant but the that was the only positive thing about the accommodation.

    1. The key card did not work. 2. The TV was cut off and we did not get it back up. 3. There was a giant log of S$%t in the toilet. Gross!! 4. There were flies all over the room This is after the room not being ready for an hour after we arrived. We came with two young children and a dog. The desk clerk told me to deal with it or leave. So I did.

This is the most pathetic hotel in Valdosta by a country mile. Upon my arrival, I was taken to 3 different rooms, 2 of which were OCCUPIED, and the third being unaccessible, even to hotel staff. This charade lasted over an hour. When I finally entered a room that was unoccupied, one of the queen beds was made up with the previous occupant’s dirty sheets. I found fingernail clippings and sand mixed within the “clean” linens. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling off one of the walls and surely molding. I decided to leave this morning and credit the rest of my reserved nights back to my card, but every time I call the hotel, I’m prompted to ask for the front desk, and then…voila! NOTHING! “The call was ended due to technical difficulties.” It seems I’ll continue to be charged for his rathole motel due to the staff’s overall incompetence. Stay away from this dump at all costs.

My husband and I have been staying here for a hot minute, unfortunately, but the rooms are comfortable, pet friendly, conveniently located and the staff is great! I almost thought the rooms were soundproof! I've never heard a peep from outside, until this super obnoxious family stayed next door to us last week. I've never seen one family get noise complaints from every single guest at a hotel, but there's always that one family! Otherwise, super comfortable 😊

During business travel I usually use the Choice Hotels brand and book through the loyalty program online with no problem. Apparently the so called "elite" Diamond status means jacks... After Quality Inn at the mall in Valdosta, double & a couple days triple charged me, the general manager stated there was nothing they could do and to take it up with my bank. Until I noticed the stolen money the desk staff was friendly. While standing in the lobby two other customers complained of the same "glitch" but I was treated as if it was an isolated incident that I was at fault for. I was hung up on next time I called to inquire about two new random charges. Eight days out and my bank is still trying to sort all the nonsense charges but no resolution. The housekeeping staff was wonderful but we'll never use this establishment again.
