My coworkers and I used to get chicken teriyaki bowls here almost every day and they were very yummy. However yesterday we found a bug in one of our teriyaki bowls, so unfortunately I will not be returning here to buy any of their food.

I believe I found mouse droppings in my food.

Haven't tried the sushi but those ramen soups are really good, almost as good as I make em at home. Good proportion for a fair price and good service.

If you are looking for very basic inexpensive options this is a great place to go. Clean. Pretty friendly staff. Requested brown rice and was told it would be a additional $2. Ended up not getting anything. My guest ordered the Cherry Blossom.

A great informal spot to have a tasty Japanese lunch. They have bento boxes, donburri, ramen, and a host of other choices. We have tried several dishes and found them all quite good. The spacing is a bit tight, but we found spots to sit down and tuck in to tasty, filling food. The staff is helpful and cheerful, we will be going back.

I mostly love all the sushi that they served, clean place, nice staff and awesome service. I totally recommended if you're a sushi❤lover!!!

After I dined inside I asked to use their bathroom and they replied “Sorry closed due to COVID” 7/20/23 REALLY COVID! Im tired of people still taking advantage of a past tense pandemic! Food is a bit pricey, ok food, use your bathroom before you go!!!

This place is terrible. Found hair on my rolls. The teriyaki is bad. The place is really run down and no AC ..and definitely not good price value. Eat here at your own risk. I didnt finish my food...

I worked in that same plaza. Definitely a good place to grab good Japanese food if you're in a rush. They usually get busy during lunch 12pm to 130pm so call your order in. Price is fair considering what you order but not too expensive.

If I could give this no stars and write a review I would. Fish didn't taste fresh at all. Salmon was gray and textures of everything were aweful. Lots of mayonase and teriyaki sauce on rolls and I don't even understand why. I asked nicely for a refund on 2 rolls because they were so bad I l couldn't even eat them and could hear the owner or manager arguing with the kid working there not to give it to me because I had taken 2 bites it was "eaten". I don't like sending food back anyway so that made things extra uncomfortable. Worst sushi place I've ever tried to eat at.

Fast food sushi. Lots of choices for sushi. Fried chicken wings are too salty and the ramen is ok.

Don’t waste your time or money here-sushi/fish is not fresh tasting. Definitely “fishy” tasting as decent sushi is not supposed to taste if that makes sense! Never have I seen weirdly and differently colored fish chunks in a negi Hama (hamachi) roll, or a disgusting brown sauce on top of a spicy tuna roll. It hurt me to spend the money that I did here-but lesson learned!

I ordered a beef curry udon to-go. It was great other than the fact that there wasn't one piece of beef in the whole bowl. Maybe I got unlucky?

Ordered a spider roll, dragon roll, lion king, and rock n roll. The unagi was mostly fat The spider roll tasted off..like old crab or not fully cooked, the tempura batter wasn't fully fried in the middle The lion king roll was cold before I opened it up to eat it in the car Super disappointed

Second time visiting california and wanted to get sushi with my brother and friends, so we decided to go to this place. It was our first time, and it was AWESOME. It was pretty expensive but there was 5 of us, and it was WORTH it. Definately reccomend this place

I love coming to Suruki's because hello, the location is great. I can get all my shopping done & eat sushi?! IN THE SAME PLAZA. They always have specials going on and the Bento Box one is usually a steal. Plus, if you're lucky, you'll walk in when their chicken teriyaki is the special and order some shrimp tempura on the side. I always get their handrolls, edamame or their spicy chicken wings (which aren't even spicy). They taste so good. & they have daily specials too during the weekday. Monday is $1.99 handrolls, tuesday is 0.99 spam masubis (I believe), Wednesday (I think) is Chicken Teriyaki bowls, and Thursday is their spicy chicken wings. Although a lot of people give this place a bad rep because "customer service" a lot of the employees here are high school sophomores-seniors, as their first job. & that is no excuse but the place does get packed & busy and the frustration seems to all go to the FOH employees. I asked once why a couple orders came out faster than others and it's because they have one chef working on hot food items & another on the sushi. & if there's one person doing each thing, obviously it makes sense why other foods come out faster than others. & when it gets like that, & the hot foods are done, I've seen the other chef help the sushi maker out. I wish this place was a little big, I know that the place would fill out eventually as it already does. Call in ahead of time & expect your food to be ready in about 20-30 mins during busy hours, or 15 mins during non-busy hours. Plus, I like that this place allows you to customize your bento, not like other sushi places in the area. & you honestly cannot beat their teriyaki sauce. I've tried other sushi businesses in Vallejo but this one HANDS down has the best sauce. So believe me, the wait is worth it.

Good food! The veggie tempura bento box I had was the highlight of my day 😅 very casual and small but great friendly service.

It's hard to find really good Japanese restaurant in the area. There are some but I think this one is one of the best. You can literally hear the chef making your food at the back. Their sushi is well made. I use to go to Yo sushi in Benicia but you can tell the quality of their food is not really that good. Compare to suruki I just wished that they would open a bit more earlier. Some may complain about the price. But this review is strictly just about food. Money sometimes is a small price to pay when it comes to great food experience. Update Been visiting this place occasionally and just wanted to update from 2 years ago. The place is still good and have not once gotten a bad experience. Updating from 4 to 5 stars.

4.5 Picked 5 items , got miso Raman ,teriyaki chicken bowl , mighty dragon sushi roll, spam musubi and a pink dragon roll services was very nice food piping hot loved it . Broth could’ve been better and needed more teriyaki sauce in bowl but sushi was amazing
