Easily
the
best
pastizzi
and
qassata
I've
ever
had.
In
fact
one
of
the
best
pastry
items
I've
had
after
living
and
travelling
all
over
the
world.
It's
a
must
try
especially
if
you
are
new
Malta
as
you
can't
find
this
easily
in
other
countries.
It
is
made
fresh
daily
and
baked
fresh
on
site
by
the
owner
Jamie.
He
is
passionate,
warm
and
loves
sharing
his
tradition
and
culture.
He
told
me
it's
a
family
recipe
from
the
1940's
and
his
grandfather
taught
him
how
to
make
it.
I
first
tried
the
spinach
Qassata,
the
pastry
is
perfectly
cooked,
velvety,
buttery
and
flakey.
The
filling
is
generous
and
full
of
flavour.
The
spinach
is
almost
creamy
without
being
mushy,
has
a
bit
of
tang
with
the
olives
and
is
hearty.
The
pastizzi
is
flakey,
soft
inside
and
the
bacon
gives
the
mushy
peas
a
nice
saltiness.
Great
value
at
1.50
for
Qassata
and
0.50
for
Pastizzi
especially
considering
its
fresh
and
packed
so
generously.
A
locals
favourite
and
a
must
try.
Say
hello
to
Jamie!
