👍👍 Excellent experience! My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday. Everything was great since I contacted the manager Alison to make his night special. Excellent experience! My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday. Everything was great since I contacted the manager Alison to make his night special. She was extremely helpful and very attentive through emails. We arrived to the restaurant and the barman hosted us and offered something to drink on the Bar Area. He was very friendly, and the cocktails he made were delicious. Time for dinner. We went for the Degustation and Wine Pairing Menu which is absolutely a must to try. The food, the timing between the courses, the wines and their descriptions, the views of Valletta, the nice atmosphere, the excellent service and friendly staff... It couldn't be better. My boyfriend and I want to thank you Alison and your great team, who made that night super special for us. And last but not least, compliments to the chefs and their hard job and dedication. Well definitely come back. 😉😁

I came here for my birthday celebrations and it definitely felt special! Where we were sitting was a spectacular view of Valetta. Excellent service from all staff and we were amazed by the fried olives! I wasn't particularly impressed with my main course but the starters and appatisers made up for it! Hopefully I will come back and experience it again 💕

We had lunch and left disappointed! Very nice inside & nice people, the views of valletta are superb, overall the place gives out very good Vibes. The food on the other hand had some issues, meat not as we ordered or we'll rested & fries were really really bad. I would not return for a second time or recommend to anyone.

A bit of a disappoint unfortunately, which possibly hinted at just an off day (a one off dining experience makes it a bit rough to draw too many conclusions). The setting of Chophouse is fantastic, with beautiful views across to Valletta. The access is a bit difficult for the uninitiated, with our taxi driving through a warren of a basement carpark to get us there. Possibly we made a mistake ordering everything in one hit (we’d checked out the menu in advance and knew what we were after), but the order of service was all out of whack. We received our first course before our cocktails had arrived, and the glasses of wine to match the first course came after the presentation of the red wine that was to be decanted. We asked to hold off on serving the main course until we let them know we were ready for it, but instead it arrived immediately after the first course plates were cleared. We had had quite high expectations for Chophouse based on reviews, and in the end the whole meal felt extremely rushed (this was a Monday night, with the restaurant not full), and we ended up leaving without finishing the main course and with wine still in the decanter. We noticed that in most of our dining experiences in Malta that the courses get served immediately after each other, so this was not unexpected, which is why we asked to ensure there was a break between. So maybe this is just a Maltese standard order of service?

Beautiful location in rhe new developing area of Sliema. Not easy to find, you must take a small walking path in the square. Great view at sunset. Interesting menu and good choice of wines

Since I don’t personally eat any meat and it’s a very well known restaurant for meat dishes, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, however I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Their fish options were divine and they had plenty of dishes to choose from! The tuna was especially delicious and the sea bass was also great. Service was superb and there was a lovely vibe throughout, we will definitely return!

The people working here are wonderful, the food was amazing. Too big portions for a degustation menu for me but it is not a problem at all. It was a great experience.

Very nice service and food. We took the menu +wine and we had a lot of different things from fish to meat and it was very nice. The view itself is worth too pay a visit.

First class service, absolutely delicious gourmet cuisine and a stunning view! This place is highly recommended! When seeing their menu, it was hard to choose from the mouthwatering selection of dishes - so we chose the degustation menu with the reccomended wine pairing. It was a tour de force of great taste! I'll visit again, next time I return to Malta 🇩🇰🇲🇹

Food was excellent but service lacked a lot. Most of the attention is given to bigger tables, and we had to keep flagging waiters down for service. Plate handling could be much better, I don't expect plates to thud on the table when being served, especially for a restaurant of this level. Music is too loud, encouraging patrons to speak louder, which takes away from the experience.

Food was ok. Had an issue with a very rude server (we got ushered in and made to choose our seats, picked one with a view out front and was rudely told not to sit there after someone else told us it was ok - the guests who reserved the spot arrived an hour ++ when we were finishing dinner. ) Everyone else was fine but that rude person kinda ruined our vibes for the night. Good thing the 2 bottles of Chianti Antinori solved it.

Very overpriced. Food is ok but expected much better when compared to other similar fine dining restaurants. And the service leaves alot to be desired. Constantly dripping wine when pouring, taking plates away when patron was at the toilet even though we were not yet finished, and took over 20 mins to come and take the order. Way overpriced. The only plus is the wonderful view of Valletta.

Great place for special celebrations. Hip bar area and good place for photos. Great cocktails and vibe. Very amenable staff. Nice view of the capital.

3.5/5 for food, 5/5 for view. We were really looking forward to dining here having read other reviews and reserved our table several months ago, ready for our Maltese holiday. The view is over to Valetta is knockout if you manage to secure a window seat but there is an outdoor space you can access and a promenade around the headland which was busy with walkers. The service was very friendly and generally efficient and the interior is stylish with a good playlist. The seats weren't particularly comfortable but we weren't there for very long. Starters were a broccoli risotto which was tasty and well seasoned, and I had the aubergine. I found it a bit bland, despite a small amount of tomato type chutney, a cream which I think was supposed to be coconut and something else which was crunchy but didn't really have much flavour. It was a very large section of aubergine with not a lot else going on, I left 1/3 of it as I was bored eating it. For mains we had chicken and ribeye. The steak was pretty good but not exceptional and it didn't really go with a few leaves of wilted pak choi and some kind of cheese mousse/foam. I was expecting to be wowed at the combination but there was nothing I couldn't find at a regular restaurant. The chicken was moist with a nice jus, both came with rosemary fries which again, didn't taste of rosemary and were super well done. I tried the local panne cotta which was supposed to be flavoured with rose water. It was really firm like it had been refrigerated a long time and utterly bland. It did come with some fig puree/jam and some chopped pistachios. Rose is a difficult flavour to get right but there was zero taste to this dessert which was a shame. I think the chef needs to taste his food some more, or perhaps train the waiting staff to ask questions when they collect plates of food which are not all empty. It was expensive for a fairly standard dining experience but the premium is for the location. A nice one off but I wouldn't return for the food.

👍 Ordered a delicious and fresh Greek salad for lunch, with crunchy cucumber, chunks of feta, pitted black olives, chopped cherry tomatoes and some lettuce with a delicate olive oil dressing. Perfect and a very generous portion too. We also shared the Capricciosa pizza with artichoke, ham, sliced blac...
