This is a one of those rare places that keeps you coming back over the weeks and years. I recommend the eggplant parmesan, it is uniquely prepared and will be the best you've ever had. But really, anything with their sauce will leave you craving more the next day.

Went there last night with my son before the Islanders-Wild hockey game, and we were amazed. We had looked up best pizza places ahead of time and saw Ancona had great reviews, and I don't think those did it justice. The people working there were so friendly. They chatted with us, with the other guests, and it seemed like they knew every single one of them. This guy, they're wishing him luck with his wife's cancer treatments and reassuring him. This mom, they're asking if the pizza is as good as she remembers and complimenting her daughter. They chatted up customers, and were so incredibly friendly. The pizza was top-tier, it really was. The sauce has a different flavor, very unique, and my son and I loved it. Now I have to buy tickets to another game, because my wife wants to try it, and we live 3 hours away. But we'll make the trip. It was great.

Good food served by good people who have been at it for as long as I can remember. Pizza is solid. Soda is fresh. Taste is very good. Meter pi arming on street but free in the lot about half a block away. I have not tried their heros or platters, but in am thinking now that I should. Customers are loyal local folks. Enjoy! All good. Nice people. Customers who are good local folks. Don't ever change!

This is a funky old pizza place with excellent pizza 🍕. Both the cheese neapolitan and Sicilian are great with crispy crust and slightly sweetish sauce. The eggplant Parmesan is done the way I like. This place has been around since 1972; one can taste why they still are in business

The wings here are hands down the best in Long Island. You will not regret it. They told me the onion rings are just as good I have to try them. Pizza is good and a great bunch of guys. Make a night out of it. Good, friendly atmosphere.

If you want some old school authentic Italian food, this is it. Lovely owners with the abilities to make amazing dishes.

I thought it was my imagination… This is the second time in several years that I walk into this establishment and feel very uncomfortable. It’s a pizza shop and I’m asked, “Can I help you?” I gasp and respond by asking about the variety of pizza seen, simultaneously a package on the counter is yanked away and put on the oven. The responses are short, but I insist and make my selection. I begin to remember why it took me so long to come back. An older man enters and not only is greeted by his name but is asked, “What can I get for you?” That’s a question I’m used to hearing in a pizza place.I decided I can’t do this…the last time I sucked it up and paid for the pizza. This time I decided to walk out and take my business elsewhere. I was hungry with only a few minutes for lunch but I decided I could wait. I will NEVER return to this establishment, especially since it wasn’t my imagination. Reading others’ reviews really help…we really don’t have to put up with this…

The employees were very friendly and I had a great conversation with them about the ridiculous cost of tolls getting to NY and the price of car insurance in NY compared to other places! I was so engaged in conversation, I didn't even realize I was eating. The slices I had were great! Nice spot to get pizza. 👌

Incredible pizza! The grandma pizza starts off with a slight crunch, then feels like biting into a fluffy cloud full of flavor. The marinara sauce was the best sauce I've ever tasted. Once in a while you'll find a nice big chunk of tomato, or onion. I'm usually not a fan of big chunks of tomatoes, but this is an exception to the rule. They show up as pleasant little surprises packed with flavor. I'd honestly be happy eating it with just bread sticks or garlic knots, and it would still beat the food at most pizzerias. We took the rest of the pizza home and reheated it in the oven, believe it or not, it was still better than most freshly made pizzas I've had. This NY pizzeria definitely lives up to its name.

This was my first time ordering from this pizzeria to start I called over the phone for a cheese pizza pie and when I get their is when they decide to tell me its cash only which should be told to the customer over the phone and not when im there picking it up that is some scummy practice especially disrespectful to the customer it shows the customer that you care more about making an extra kick back off the atm company paying you for people to use their machine rather than being honest with your customers. Now to the pizza that was probably the most bland tasting pizza I have ever eaten I dont get where these good reviews come from.

Overpriced, and it’s probably better to order on the phone so your order isn’t rushed or ill prepared. Because based on my own personal experience and based on previous comments it’s probably better to go elsewhere if you want quality or better prices over the other. It’s a good balance with this place but the previous reviews make me skeptical. Also all the toppings on my pie were dumped on like four slices, there was literally one or two plain slices. Wouldn’t be an issue if I was eating by myself like today but if I’m buying for others to share that would be an issue

I ordered the grandma square pie to my store. It has lots of bright sauce on it with onions in it and fresh mozzarella. Its the only pie where I eat the crust. I have since ordered it 5 times within a month with my anchovies on the side. Delicious!

The best pizza in Valley Stream. Pepperoni is slices is a little greasy. But everything taste good I would recommend it 🍕

This place has declined immensely. Recently ate there and both the regular and sicilian pizza was horrible, sorely lacking in taste and quality. Honestly, it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten.

This excellent pizzeria offers a wide variety of pizza choices. The staff is friendly too. We had regular slices, chicken bacon ranch and a white cheese slice. They were all absolutely delicious. The next time you crave pizza, stop by Ancona. It's worth the trip.
