The food at this restaurant was surprisingly good and I recommend enjoying one of the set menus. The cafe it self defies gravity, like most of Valparaiso, as it dangles on a cliff edge. This allows you to have sweeping views of downtown and hills around. Friendly cats on the premises too which will even help themselves to your lap

Not what it used to be. Service was bad. We had Teapot tea and raspberry kuchen. Tea selection was poor. Kuchen was basic. The building is still beautiful and the view still amazing, but there are better choices around town.

Hotel looks very appealing from outside but the room we got was extremely cold and humid. Brrakfast was rather poor. On the good side, nice views from terrace and good location.

I didn't try the hotel part but the bar part and that was very nice.! Great place and view to taste a pisco sour as you can see on the photo :) Bonus : you have 2 drinks for the price of one between Monday and Friday.! The place is nice. They serve tapas too if you want to eat something with your drink. Very nice good and well cooked with great flavours. Staff is polite and the service is quick. Great place to begin the night :)

Boutique Hotel at cerro Concepcion in Valparaiso. Clearly an icon an part of the classical walking tours through this vibrant colorful city. It offers an amazing view of the harbor nicely fit in the surroundings. The restaurant has an acceptable variety of dishes, mostly traditional food. It tastes good. The grand terrace is recomendable mainly because of the view. Chairs and tables do not really make justice to the atmosphere and seem rather suitable for a motorway service station. But its overcome by the environment and charm of this part of town. Cocktails are very well prepared. No luxury, prices are in normal upper range.

I stayed for a few days in the George Elliot room while my friend stayed in the Jane Austen room. Very nice views from the rooms though I wouldnt recommend these rooms if you struggle with small spaces. The hotel does have other rooms that's more accommodating for space, which I did check out personally. The breakfast included wasn't great. The checkered floor terrace and the views from the terrace is really nice. I'd stay again.

The staff was utterly disrespectful and rude!!! They made us wait for 20 min on our table before attending to us. If you are going to this place to have a great time, BEWARE you would end up with a spoilt mood in no time. Wish you ZERO luck Cafe Brighton!!

Quirky place, great friendly service, good breakfast, lunch and dinner with a stunning view over the city. Well positioned to explore the surrounding street art.

If you want to experience the grandeur of 19th century Valparaiso try this place. Historic rooms. Good restaurant. Great views. In the heart of an interesting pedestrian area. Parking is a problem; the hotel has a space but one needs a very small vehicle.

If it was only for the cold chocolate I would rate it 3/5 but I can’t omit the views which are incredible. When I visited it was very quiet so I had most of the terrace to myself.

🫤 Bad food with good presentation, nice view. The burger was overcooked and the ceviche lacked taste. The chocolate volcano was actually a brownie. Very overcooked. Not worth the price at all.

😐 Not very delicious. Mediocre food quality. The food portion is large enough for atleast two meals. Overpriced as well.

😐 Feels like a cozy English pub as far as its ambiance. The beer was okay… the west coast ipa wasn’t very hoppy. The hazy ipa also wasn’t very hoppy or hazy. The regular stout was pretty good. they were out of the imperial stout. The banana pancake lager didn’t taste like banana and was a simple lage...
