It's an amazing location with Cham and quiet environment located at Jaffna peninsula everyone can get relaxed for a while by spending a couple of minutes by looking at the beach and with a quiet environment. Once you travel to Jaffna peninsula you should drop your attention to spend a couple of hours with your relatives and friends. I really enjoyed this location.

We started our jouney from Jaffna Nallur Residence, owner itself arranged the jouney for us arround Jaffna district attractions. There is a security guar benches are arranged to sit and rest also nice around the corner. Parking is available and its free.

Akkarai Beach is a very beautiful beach. Very clean place and the beach is a recommended destination if you are visiting the Jaffna area. This beach is located near Thondamanaru. There is a sandy bottom about a meter deep until it goes fifty to sixty meters away. A great place for those who love to swim. You can also put a fresh water wash after bathing in the sea. The security guard there is a nice and friendly man. Help him financially. He will be happy. But if the sea wave is strong, do not go into the sea. Be careful and enjoy. Help keep it clean.

Poor maintained the beach clam superb place to rest but have to take the equipment (bench or air bed ) no hotels or food places

One of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and a must visit place during your visit to Jaffna. Unlike many beaches in the country, it's a really safe place for small kids since there are no waves. They will love to play in the shore as well as in the shallow water since there's nothing that scares them. The depth increases gradually when you walk towards the sea so you know when to stop going further. You can enjoy the sunset too.

Very beautiful beach should be visited during point pedro visit.safe area .bench in side the sea shoe and get some amazing photograps .Close to the point pedro to kks main road. parking area and huts available for dining. Clean toilets available .tickets will be issed

Lovely, relatively unspoiled beach. Unfortunately as we went during the rainy season the sandy beach was only a small area. Still I would give this a thumbs up over the other more popular beaches as it is far less crowded and peaceful.

It is not too famous but nice palce to swimming,playing beach volleyball,family out visits and lovers spot.!!

Super shallow + clean water. Great for kids. Few rocks here and there but overall a very nice beach!
