Avoid at All Cost This has to be the worst pub ever, where the ratings came from is beyond me. Wanted to bring our team to an authentic pub that have never been to the UK before. Rating and photos looked promising. First of all I have experienced a more lively atmosphere in a funeral parlour. Since there were 10 of us we had to sit upstairs on the second floor. On the second floor we could order food but not drinks … so down we go again only to experience half the beers were not available. Some of our team ordered food however it would only appear two at a time. Check out the filthy menu photo (attached). Is there no pride? The ladies had ordered salads and when they asked for dressing they were told they have salt. The pub had no dressing other than old rancid malt vinegar with blobs of whatever in the bottle (attached). How can any restaurant offer a dry salad and no dressing? Many of us did not eat and waited until we went to another location. Looking for the toilets? Follow your nose .. disgusting. Seriously, this was the worst experience in a pub and a total embarrassment to take our team to. With so many great pubs in London it is a shame that the potential of this pub has been totally lost.

The rather wonderful feature of this traditional pub are the leaded lights which were specially commissioned and show various notables from the C19 era. Best viewed during daylight hours. It's a Sam Smith's pub but the organic cider in a bottle is up there with the best. Support pubs they needs us at the moment.

Popped in for a lunchtime pint. Very quiet in here, but decent beer choice made it okay.

When you walk into a beautiful pub and are filled with admiration, then realise that it’s owned by Sam Smith!!! The only beer of theirs that I can drink is the Organic Wheat Beer, which is good, but way too expensive at £6.70 a pint. I respect the wish to encourage pub chat, but the draconian rules regarding electronic devices are ridiculous. Staff are in fear of being fired for allowing customers to look at their phones or take pictures. Lovely staff, beautiful pub, shame about the beer choice, prices and rules.

Traditional pub with the full range of Sam Smith ales and lagers on offer. Plenty of attentive bar staff on hand who serve customers immediately. Decent selection of bar snacks.

Pleased to have finally found a proper pub off Oxford Street. I was attracted by the amazing stained glass windows but was pleased to find it was a decent, but honest, pub inside. Plus they sell their own breweries pints and at about £5 per pint!

A great little pub, tucked away a bit from the main drag. Always worth a visit - it has a classic pub feel/look. Why not join the Sam Smith's stout versus Guinness debate? (Which would you prefer?) The pub sells its own range, from its own brewery (Sam Smith's), so don't ask for Stella, Guinness, Peroni, etc...

Came for the wonderful stained glass windows, and some lunch. In a totally empty pub I was told I had to order beer downstairs, and only eat food upstairs (so not see windows). £7.30 for a wheat beer, steep by even London prices. I skipped the food, enjoyed the windows, drank my pricy pint, and left

What an excellent pub. Nice relaxed atmosphere downstairs, beautiful stained glass on which you can find several champions. Upstairs is a dining area where we’ve had a wonderfully crispy crusted Fish & Chips, one of the best I’ve had in London. Service is also nice, friendly and attentive.

Had a nice lunch here after our visit to the Cartoon Museum nearby. We had delicious chicken avocado sandwiches with pint of beer and cider. Food was great, place was quiet and cozy and staff is nice and friendly.

Didn't eat but stopped for a pint. Great quaint London pub. Friendly staff and a lovely traditional vibe.

Lovely old pub with beautiful stained glass windows! Hadn't seen many Samuel Smith pubs in ages!

Typical London pub with a lovely atmosphere, and beautiful windows. The service seemed very friendly and had a decent variation of beer. We ordered a lime and soda, however the fizz from the drink seemed to sting my mouth a bit since it was so fizzy 😂 However overall, I enjoyed coming to this pub a lot and would definitely recommend coming here to enjoy a post-shopping drink.

Lovely interiour. I used to drop by from time to time but not anymore. The prices have gone through the roof. The quality of the beers is mediocre so the pub is effectively a rip-off.

Awesome pub friendly with great beers. Popped in with the rest of our Welsh choir.. whose impromptu choral entertainment went down very well

Lovely pub, good range of Sam Smith's beers etc so was a bit cheaper than your standard London place. Poor barmaid/manager?? had to hobble about due to a knee injury.

Just great pub. I discovered it in 2008. I do remember their Old brewery bitter used be 1.98 £, then. Nowadays is 4.20...still great price....

After my last visit 7 years ago while still living in the big smoke, a return was always bound to happen when my new employer's office was just around the corner. Stout just before last rounds will have to be continued soon

This place isn't a pub, it's a piece of history. The windows are made from stain glass from 150 years ago. It's so beautiful! The bartender was kind enough to explain about the history of the place. We were pleased!

They don't serve food when they are busy, which is basically every evening. Doesn't make any sense, specially when they have a designated area for dinning upstairs.

Great location. Only 1 very hardworking member of barstaff. No choice of gin, wines. No lemons. But you get what you pay for. Cheap round for the West End.

Staff was a bit weird in complaining about old management and not having great selection. Regardless still a pub worth visiting but there are better

The ambience and decor is really lovely in this pub. They have worked hard at getting a great atmosphere but to have no traditional ales is a huge disappointment. With decent beer, this is definitely give stars.
