Don't let the City Council allow the proposed tolling in downtown! Stop taxing citizens for using and interacting with the City. Find alternative ways to change the habits of people. Lower transit fares, invest in the infrastructure that is already there like bike lanes, encourage electric vehicles and car sharing. Tax BIG industry polluters instead of the civilians just getting by. They also want to have pay parking everywhere by 2023. Money grab! Get involved in your community, know what is happening. Don't let them tell you it is part of a Climate Action Plan. It's a way to emotional manipulate you. It is unethical. Taxing people doesn't change anything!

From the aspect of the building and the grounds, neat little park with with a community garden and Manzo Nagano garden. You also get really great views of the city and mountains from certain spots! There's also a section with built in table tennis tables!

Nice place to visit as a tourist. If you live here it only means you need a permit or you need to pay something

Vancouver is the worst city I have ever been. It is extremely hard to drive in the city, roads are bad, traffic is heavy. The drivers are extremely rude, they are speeding every where in the city even in the construction zone and intersections, they don't keep safety distance and so close to me. There are also many homeless people on the street, so scared when passing them in the night. And I don't know why I have to pay for parking fee in weekends or after 9 pm, I have never seen this in other cities. Never come to Vancouver again!!!

One Star do not recommend. The city officials are more interested in taking down art and taking the fun out of everything rather than cleaning up the city itself. Hey City Hall, why not put your energy into cleaning up the garbage around the spider sculpture before taking down the art installation. You hypocrites

There are two aspects to Vancouver City Hall..one is the main reason for city affairs to be accommodated through the many government offices in the City Hall Building, while the other is the establishment of a very special green space which serves as a gentle green environment to foster a tranquil atmosphere….there are numerous benches and a wonderful view of Downtown Vancouver and the North Shore Mountains..

Tried to pay for parking permit insurance clerk made an error on parking location of my vehicle no fault of the city however when asking questions on what my options were after explaining my situation the staff member who was helping me was quite rude and condescending. After sorting out my insurance and coming back there was no issue with a different staff member. Behind the desk there is a poster that reads something like "we will refuse service to disrespectful people" I would love to see these employees hold themselves to the same standards they ask us to meet.

Perfunctory building, with nice sakuras out front in the spring. Small parking lot.

City of vancouver just sucking the blood out of normal working people by handing out bylaw tickets. By law officers are so stupid and fast to hand a ticket. I parked near my house on 57th and main st, 7 ft away from the curb. City slave slapped a $60 saying it shouldn’t be within 6 meters (20ft)? Imagine everyone in vancouver parking 20 ft away in residential areas from the curb. How many cars we can fit in that block? What a stupid law to take money from people.

As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing a few weddings at Vancouver City Hall, and I must say, I was very impressed. The Micro Wedding Program at City Hall provided a wonderful opportunity for couples to celebrate their love and commitment in a safe, budget friendly, and meaningful way. The staff at City Hall were outstanding - friendly, professional, and detail-oriented. They went out of their way to me and the couple with helpful guidance and tips on how to navigate the Council Chamber and capture the perfect shots. We even learned a few interesting tidbits about the chamber, like the history of the bell that was used to signal the start of meetings. Overall, I have to give credit where credit is due - Vancouver City Hall did an incredible job of hosting the Micro Wedding Program during these challenging times. Their dedication and attention to detail made the entire experience truly special for everyone involved. I highly recommend City Hall as a wedding venue for couples looking to tie the knot in Vancouver.

Interesting visit to look at art deco detailing in the lobby, lifts and chamber with helpful security guard. Some Vancouver history and info panels with further background also on the third floor

Classic building with many of the main civic departments located here or nearby. Easily accessible by transit and a SkyTrain station.

It's not the most friendly space to visit architecturally speaking then again it's mostly offices for city workers. Outdoor area is great though. Thanks for your work

A beautiful art deco/moderne building that has slowly been modernized as it expanded. The accessible entrance is on the south side. To find the payment area, enter from the north or south find the centre and then go east. You can watch Council by taking the elevator up. Don't forget to peak in the elevators, even if you're not planning to go up (beautiful!). Security are the best people to ask if you are lost.

Absolutely terrible night life experience. My buddy went to MULTIPLE bars with a pocket full of singles just begging to be spent on pulltabs and had to go home empty handed. THE PEOPLE NEED PULLTABS!!!!!!

Covid Wedding in Vancouver City Hall 48 Studio has many opportunities to work with Brides and Grooms for their special day during pandemic. We all have to agree that Vancouver City Hall did a great job to host the Micro Wedding Program during this Covid time to help marriage couples still be able to be “together – forever” Staff was friendly, professional, and detail oriented. They gave our photographer a lot of guide and tips in order to work around the Council Chamber. We even have a chance to hear a few funny facts about the council chamber like the bell that they used to ring before the meeting. Give credit to Vancouver City Hall for a great Micro Wedding Program. 48 Studio.

In my search for properties, I often referred to different cities about zoning and other planning information. Among all cities the staff at Vancouver City Hall were the least helpful with unfriendly attitudes. Entering the City Hall near Vancity entrance is as if an alien tries to enter a security barricade without permission. The only thing to hear sometimes through the semi open glass doors from several staff united in their narratives at the entrance is "Go to www.vancouver.ca! or if they were little more kind, they would provide an email to contact. Then a long wait for email responses, often after the fact. I admire City of Coquitlam information desk which provides great customer service with welcoming attitudes even by phone to diverse customers. Other cities are also more helpful than that of Vancouver. It would be great if City of Vancouver follows the same customer service as Coquitlam City Hall, no matter how important they are.
