This is some really great food at a decent price and there is a lot of it. The staff is so friendly and so attentive. Wish we lived closer, I'd visit them regularly!

This Cafe is simply wonderful. The coffee is old school Cafe coffee and the food fresh and off the griddle. Go here. Eat. Be happy.

One star for the chef and another for the waitress Apparently you need to be aware that: “This is Joe Browns Cafe… we don’t have almond milk. We do basic things…” if that sentence delivered by the manager that morning would have been delivered with a non confrontational / making fun of the customer tone, I would have found it funny may be… but the arrogance and attitude from this guy made me almost leave the place on the spot when asked if I could have my coffee with almond milk (since I can’t take normal milk) other than that, when you take the sentence as it is, he was actually right. Pretty basic food… lacking taste, presentation, appeal… in other words, will never come back to this place even if am starving. Not recommended and the only advice to the staff… leave that place while you can… you deserve better. I had to ask for some bacon as a side to my plate since it was two eggs and a bunch of potatoes (hardly any of the meet they advertised on the menu) and he couldn’t even communicate properly to the staff… so they were confused as to which customer asked for it (we were three in total that morning 😂 no wonder…) and delivered to someone else. Nope thanks!

Great little breakfast place we stumbled upon while visiting the area. Had a nice hearty breakfast.

This is a classic all-American diner. The hash browns are homemade. You must get the sausage patties! No grocery store frozen sausage here. It was juicy and delicious. My pancake was the size of my plate! I crossed state lines to eat here and would do it again!

Great customer service, everyone was friendly and so nice to see smiles. The environment and menu reminded me of "Tasty Crust" back home in Maui. But most importantly, the food was amazing. Country breakfast definitely hit the spot, NY steak breakfast special was perfect, and the kids loved their cheese burger and fries (surpised me they ate it all). First time at Joe Brown's Cafe and recommend everyone go try them out you won't be disappointed.

Very mediocre food, I'm not understanding all of the 5 star ratings, perhaps they've had a lot of change lately? The omelet was very simple, and the pancakes were of very poor quality and I didn't even eat half of it. Very disappointed overall.

Amazing omelette! Fast service. They had an influx of regulars that were treated very well … reminded me of Cheers (where everybody knows your name). It is very, very small. So be prepared to wait. And if you get a table in the middle, then be prepared to eat with zero elbow room. The service was very personal. There’s a lot of history in this building. I think I read that this was the oldest restaurant in downtown Vancouver (established 1932).

This tiny diner was so charming and sweet! Food was great and so was the service. My favorite part— the butter came pre-softened; none of that frozen-solid-pad-of-butter nonsense. Also, the pancakes here, unlike many other diners, don’t immediately disintegrate once syrup is applied. I was feeling splurge-y, so I also tackled a chocolate malt. Loved it all!

Friendly place, made really welcome even at 07:00am. Fairly standard old school American diner, Corned Beef Hash, Eggs any way, Hash Browns, all home made. Regular top-ups of coffee. Great value too👍

This is a great little hole in the wall breakfast and hamburger place in downtown Vancouver, WA. Breakfast served ALL DAY - this is a pic of my AMAZING Country Fried Steak brekkie with a biscuit (side of gravy). It.was.delicious! And also about $20. My dad had a chicken sandwich - which is actually chicken tenders, on a bun. He said he liked it, though bc of the individual tenders, his sandwich fell apart often and he ended up using a fork and not eating all of the lettuce, tomatoes, etc. My only critique of the food would be I'd prefer to see one large piece of chicken here instead. The staff were all friendly and courteous! I gave the atmosphere 4/5 bc even though it's a cool old space, I think they could capitalize on it more on by adding more old timey decor or even old framed newspaper headlines, etc. I'll definitely be hitting this place up again!

The food here was great! If you are particular about your eggs, this is the place to go - Jorge is the master of over-medium, in my opinion. The people here were very nice and always on top of coffee, water, and any other requests. Seating is extremely limited (which gave a bit of a rushed feeling) and we sat next to a refrigerator that had to be accessed by the staff a couple of times during our meal. I feel like this is understandable given the space, but next time I will wait for a booth. Overall, we will definitely be stopping in here more often.

There is nothing to complain about the food. It was made to order, delicious, and great quality. It didn't get 5 stars because it wasn't WOW, it was GOOD. Service was WOW and atmosphere was interesting.

Joe Brown’s Cafe is a 5 star breakfast restaurant in downtown Vancouver WA. Yeah it is a small town restaurant, but they have good food, a fun atmosphere, make food in front of you, and Joe’s has really friendly team members. Daniel Read IV

Cute quaint breakfast Cafe. Very sweet woman welcomed me in. Made some great recommendations. The breakfast was so delicious. Biscuits and sausage gravy was flavorful. Highly recommended. Good food for cheap.

We absolutely love Joe Browns. It's a vintage style restaurant that's been in downtown Vancouver Washington forever. Great food and amazing staff. I'd consider this a local staple of the downtown community.. We love getting to see Shannon on Friday and the weekends.. Keep up the great work. #Dfooddude #vancouverfood #yum #yelpeats #foodblog

Greeted by the very friendly staff who directed us to a booth, me and one of my friends had the Farmer's Skillet which was utterly delicious, no extra seasoning required and for a great price. Definately recommend and will be coming back when I can.

Brought the momster in for mother's day and it was excellent. Food was cooked VERY quickly. We barely had to wait. Service was friendly and attentive. Usually I have to send French toast back because it's raw in the middle and too soft. This was just right on the first bite! This will likely become the new place to be for us when breakfast food is on the mind.

Terrible service. Ordered for delivery and almost the entire order was wrong with one whole meal and an extra side completely missing. Boxes were broken and crushed. Over easy eggs were thrown on top of a country fried steak (which was supposed to be biscuits and gravy). Those items should have been separated. It's like whoever put this together didn't even try. Incredibly lazy and unprofessional. Will never order from here again.

Awesome place for no frills good food, great service, friendly company. Avoid for large groups though, seating is best for groups of 4 maybe 5max.

This is the best breakfast diner in the city. Generous portions of amazing breakfast food for a great price. Coffee is strong, food is hot, pancakes are huge and delicious. The servers are great but often stretched thin, and the atmosphere is exactly what an old diner should be, but it's often crowded and the seating is a bit small. Still a must have for breakfast if you enjoy the American classic diner.

Great food and great service. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating for me, my husband and our baby. Will definitely go back!

I really enjoyed breakfast at Joe's. Excellent and friendly service. Great food. It is small, so I would say groups over four will need to eat outside. It's very close to the farmer's market in Esther Short park, so it was easy to have breakfast, then head to the market. I'll definitely be going back! 😁

Me and my boyfriend went here one early morning. We both ordered the same breakfast meal Lol! They have very big portions. I would order to go because it's a small mom an pop diner in the middle of downtown Vancouver. It gets super popular an their is no where to sit. I would recommend arriving super early to find a seat. $$ 15-30 a person. Food was delicious an we took the rest 🏠.
