After briefly experiencing this place, I can completely understand the negative reviews. I contacted them via email inquiring about having a necklace made. Long story short, maybe she assumed I was looking for a freebie or something. Regardless, I felt rather insulted (and Im NOT an easily offended person). This project was NOT a matter of difficulty, I just wanted someone experienced in making jewelry and was of native descent to do this for me, as it was memorbilìa from my Grandfather who passed away recently. Money wasn't an object either (yet she dismissed it almost instantly) their loss, I will happily PAY SOMEONE ELSE who's NOT entitled nor insults me. 😉

Enjoyed our time at Trapped. There were some unique puzzles that I hadn't experienced before. We did the Aunts Inheritance room which had a mixture of mechanized and riddle solves. Got hung up on a couple parts, but that's what hints are for. 1hr of game play is great. The staff was friendly and you can get discounts for online booking and getting a free membership. We'd turn for sure. As a bonus, they gave us a free drink for being members. Nice way to celebrate the win! Thanks.

We had a great time. The room was full of great and creative riddles to solve. Very well done. We just would have appreciated to know in advance how many rooms we had to escape from and a visual countdown of our time would have been helpful. Staff was very friendly. Just be aware that you are asked to wear masks in the room despite the fact that the mask mandate was lifted last week..But that might change soon. ;-)

It's one of the few escape rooms that provide more than simple combination locks. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to kill an hour with some friends and share some laughs this is a great place to visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us a memorable experience. Production value in the rooms was on the higher scale and the rooms were well built and well thought out.

Had an amazing time here - the Chaos room was phenomenal! The room was highly interactive, challenging, and creative! I have to give a special shout-out to Anthony in particular; he provided fantastic customer service and truly went above and beyond, fully exceeding our expectations. The room was a lot of fun! My only issue is it's not always obvious where to start the puzzle or what to do. This happened like once or twice in the room we were in. But it didn't make the room any less fun! It was a lot off fun anyways. We did the Expedition one and it was really a lot of fancy mechanics. Not the typical find a code and unlock the the locks. There were all sorts of fancy mechanics that I thought were really cool. We'll definitely try again.

Went there with 6 of my friends there and did their hardest puzzle at around 7pm. The puzzle was super super difficult, however we ran out of time but then they gave us extra time to do it!!! We were all so happy that we gave thumbs up to the cameras LOL We really wanted to solve it haha Their escape rooms are super super creative, and the 2 staff who we saw there were SUPER SUPER friendly and nice to the 6 of us! Honestly they were probably laughing at our reactions whenever we solved something 😂😂 Overall, best escape room i will probably ever go to, even though its the first one ive ever been to :D

Cheryl and her husband, own this place, and they're so nice! They've treated me like one of their own people! They are truly angels in disguise! The items in their store are a bit pricey, but, worth it; because, they're locally sourced, and well made! They're so helpful with everything! We had a great time at Trapped Coquitlam, we did Room 057 which is new. We were a group of 4, it was me and my wife's first time at an escape room, we brought our 2 nieces aged 11 & 14 who did an escape room in Whistler once before. It was a blast, very challenging, and lots of fun, the group after us was running late so they gave us a few extra minutes and thankfully we were able to escape in that extra time. Staff was amazing, explaining everything to us in great detail and giving us a little nudge when we needed it. Thanks! I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who likes fun. Price is very reasonable as well.

Been there couple month ago, and keep forgetting to write review! I have been to couple other room escape before attend at Trapped Coquitlam, and this is the best I had experience so far. Me and my friend played the theme "cursed expedition" the room are designed nicely, and enjoyable. If you like room escape, definitely give it a try.

There was a room. We escaped. We felt real smart after we did. Staff was super friendly, helpful and informative. Room we did was fun and also tricky. Idk man it’s an escape room and I had fun and it wasn’t a bummer.

Six of us did the new Cursed Expedition and it was amazing! We had a ton of fun, the riddles/puzzles etc were creative and ingenious. The staff were very friendly and helpful when needed! Would recommend this to anyone, we are planning to go again soon.

My sisters, niece and I did Secret Inheritance and had so much fun that we did Room 057 right after. I’ve been to a couple of escape rooms and I think Trapped has the best puzzles and story flow. Very well thought out and so satisfying to solve while still being challenging. Can’t wait to try out more rooms!

I've been to several escape rooms over the years, and this one is my new favorite. We escaped from the medieval prison. The puzzles were clever, we really enjoyed the theme. Would love to come back and try another room.

We've done all the rooms so far, save the Inheritance one. Chaos Effect was by far the toughest challenge... We didn't succeed, but like all our visits, we had a great time nonetheless. Hands down, Trapped is the best Escape Room experience. The staff are always friendly, and great with hints without giving away too much. I also like that they let you work through the puzzle even after your time has elapsed, so you can at least figure out what you missed.

Been twice now. Best experience I have had in the lower mainland so far for escape rooms. Quality is solid overall and staff are amazing. Rooms are very detailed. Some feedback: My last room (057) I think? Was good and interesting, however the room seemed like it should have had a third room/component & honestly was easier than it should have been due to length. Also the puzzle at the end the staff told us was tricky and had to walk us through because the clues aren’t great in game. Thank you! Will be back

The experience was amazing. Me and my family did the Chaos Effect Theme. It was totally worth it. Although we couldn't escape. But we enjoyed thoroughly. The details were pretty good. The staff was polite and helped when needed. In short, the experience was awesome. Would love to come back and try some other theme. Recommended do try it!!

Had great fun, we were 5 of us doing this for the first time! Highly recommended if you are looking for something new to do, !!! If you are doing it for the first time try the “secret inheritance “ and then move on to the harder levels. But will definitely visit again soon for the “Chaos room” ✌🏻! Had a really fun experience! Did the first room and really enjoyed it so much we decided to do a second room back-to-back. Staff were nice and really patient + dealt with our rowdiness/stupidity really nicely. Easy to book, not too expensive & a very fun experience indeed. We did chaos effect & medieval prison (which is a silly order but we had fun). Don't overestimate how smart you are and start with the easy/medium ones just to get the hang of it.

Such a fun escape room centre! My friend and I have been to a few different escape room centres and we both agree this has been the best one thus far. They provide unlimited clues, but not in a way that'll impede your own search and thinking. Plenty of parking both in front and on the streets. Solid clues to move the game forward. We were in the Aunt Elisa Secret Inheritance Theme Room and we escaped with time to spare! We'll definitely be back!!

Celebrated my friend's birthday. We went on Sep 11, 2023 and was a party of 4 and did Room 057. The staff was super friendly. They saw that we were close to finishing and didn't have a booking after us so allowed us some extra time. My friend also got in for free for his birthday. I will definitely come back for my birthday in January and try out one of the other rooms. Thank you for this perk! May I suggest having a chalk board or white erase board in the rooms for people to gather their thoughts and work through the puzzles?

I took my partner there this weekend for a birthday date. It was my second time ever doing an escape room and my first time at trapped. We had such a great time!! The staff here were truly lovely. Very professional, fun, and created a great atmosphere for a fun night. We will absolutely be back. Also we loved taking advantage of the free birthday game!

Loved my experience here. Booking was simple, the owner was there when we arrived and she's just wonderful!!!! The facility was clean and good covid protocols in place. We did one room one day and had so much fun we came back the next day and did another. I've done a lot of escape rooms and the 2 i did here were a lot of fun, challenging but not impossible. We'll be back again!!!

My husband and 2 sons(15 &16) did Medieval Prison. This was the first time doing one of these rooms. It was extremely well organized, the clues were great making us work to get out. All COVID protocols were followed and felt totally comfortable participating. Would highly recommend. Was a nice family outing, especially in a time when activities so limited.

Ive done a few other escape rooms and this is a great place to go, even if you have never done an escape room. Went with 2 others who were skeptical about doing one and thought it would be boring, lo and behold they wanna go back on everyone's next day off. Great covid protocol ensuring everyone is safe, great explanation of the rules, and great friendly staff.

It was fun. Better than Exit

Did the room 057 last week. This was my 2nd experince with trapped and 5th escape room overall. Some of the puzzles were difficult, but having only 2 people there didn't help either. I'd recommend 3 minimum if you aren't as adapted to solving puzzles quickly. The concept and puzzles are very well thought out. The staff are very, very friendly and helpful. You may ever get an extra hint if you ask nicely 😉. Highly recommend if you want a safe activity (in covid terms) to do with a few friends.

Send grandson and his friends there for the first time yesterday for his birthday. They were 11 & 12 year olds and all of them loved it. I booked the medieval prison room and they said it was scary, but not super scary lol They said the staff was very nice & would like to go back and try a different room.

Wished had more time to finish the last puzzle room. Recommend them using better locks than cheap dollar store ones that is hard to open. We had the right combination first puzzle but wasted so much time trying to get it open. The staff offered the 1st clue without us asking we were already doing it so it was a waste of our clues. You only get 2 clues. The second clue we also got it already while he gave it to us as well. Overall it was a new interesting experience for us.

Great first-time escape room experience for us, we had lots of fun with the new room 057 even though we did not finish in time. It was tricky! Staff were very helpful however and we'd love to come back to try one of the other rooms some time. Masks are to be worn the entire time in the escape rooms right now due to COVID-19 and I would recommend taking the staff's suggestion to come out for a breather at least once throughout the game. We did not (having too much fun in the moment) and felt a bit light-headed/ difficulty breathing by the 45-min mark.

Nice assortment for such a small place. Nice people to deal with. Great to have this in White Rock, and not have to travel to Vancouver's Gastown.

I'm voting neutral because some items are priced well and some are not when compared to online sourcing. I applaud the owners for running a store that has an overwhelming spread of indigenous products and bringing it to an area that was void of it.

We've all done escape rooms before but not with the Trapped company and we were amazed to see how much detail and technical they got with their clues/riddles. Definitely stuck with the theme and they aren't your typical escape rooms - they're a lot better! Would definitely come back again here and try their other rooms

Came here for the first time over the weekend with my bubble to do a fun Covid safe activity and couldn't be more impressed. We did the Aunt Elisa Inheritance room which was different cause it wasn't a typical "Escape room" but we all still found it super fun and a little challenging, and yet had 15 mins left to spare. Recently did Room 057 and got out! The staff were awesome from start to finish - they really super accommodating and really made the experience great for us. We've done a few rooms here and appreciate the puzzles - they're not too hard but not too easy either. The rooms are fairly interactive, some things are intuitive and some require a little more brainpower. We're looking forward to doing more!

We really enjoyed our experience at Trapped. We escaped Room 057 with about 5 minutes to spare. The puzzles were challenging and we took advantage of 2 hints during our game. An hour goes by quick but we had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to trying another room soon!

I had my 11years old daughter's birthday (group of 11) at the Trapped Coquitlam and the kids had so much fun! In the beginning, I thought kids are too young to attend Escape Room and we had some children that were scared of the dark. As I spoke to the staff and manager of Trapped Canada, I felt comfortable hosting a party here. They are very customer-oriented and gave us many flexible options to accommodate. They offer to turn up the light when we felt the room was too dark and gave us hints whenever we got stuck. Previously, I had tried different escape rooms that were offered by other companies. I didn't solve anything and time was up. I thought it was such a waste of money at that time. Staff at the Trapped Coquitlam checked in with us often to make sure we are okay during the experience. When the staff sews key crew to solve the problem was shuffled by our girls, they radio me to put it back in order so we can proceed in the right path. I am sure some adults might like to solve it on their own. However, it was very nice to get the right amount of help when a party is a group of young kids. This place is one of the best birthday party choices for young teens.

Great experience! I proposed in an escape room so she would not expect and the managers and game master really did a great performance to make it happen and customized the experience to my request. The room was amazing too, lots of puzzles and a very interactive room. (not just padlocks but lots of cabinets and drawers that opens on conditions met) I recommend greatly for a fun day for everyone.

Low energy staff, upon finishing the room the person came and told us to get our stuff and did not even say goodbye, thank you or even asked if we enjoyed it (just disappeared into the back). We did the pyramid room which had a cool theme but the puzzles were all so loosely connected that we never got the satisfaction of progression. A lot of people seem to have really enjoyed it so maybe we just came on an off day and chose the worst theme? Who knows but I expected to have a better time.

I've been here twice now, playing the rooms Chaos Theory and Cursed Expedition. The rooms are well put together thematically and the puzzles are engaging. The highlights for me are the fact that the rooms have progression into seperate rooms, so your not confined to the same space for an hour, and the puzzles are not just simple magnetic activated locks. Staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely one of the better escape room experiences in the lower mainland, and highly recommended. My group of 6 had a blast each time and look forward to our next visit.

Just finished two escape rooms at Trapped: Medieval Prison and Chaos Effect. The rooms were so creative, the puzzles were difficult and rewarding when we solved them. There was never a dull moment for our group. The staff was so nice, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful when we needed help. The experience was so good I wish I could wipe it from my mind and go again. Definitely recommend!

The rooms are amazing, best escape rooms in BC. its not just boring locks but also riddles and using your head to figure out the meaning behind everything. We took about 100 teens through here between this week and last. Staff are wonderful. They are helpful, gracious and had so much patience. The rooms were great. I was there 4 times and they made sure I could do a different room each time. My favourite was the mediaeval prison but Inheritance was a great puzzle.

I've done four rooms at Trapped and loved them all. Each one is completely different, so it never gets boring. The staff are beyond wonderful. Everyone I've met has been so nice and helpful. They're always happy to give hints, confirm guesses, etc. I have two rooms left to attempt and I can't wait!

If you come within 3 days of your birthday, bring an ID and you can get a free game. Did the Secret Inheritance room and the clues were pretty well done and logical. The staff were friendly and very helpful in explaining what to expect. One of the better escape room experiences I've had.

This was a great evening of entertainment for 2 middle aged couples. We are quite inexperienced escape room folk - we've been to 4-5 of them in the past 5 years. We picked an easier one (the medieval dungeon) and won! This was our first time with this company and we found it much better run and higher quality than some others we have been to in the past. LOVED IT!! in April I came here for my birthday and did the medieval prison. It was so fun! the staff was super friendly and didn't get mad at us when we sat on furniture accidentally, and dropped a couple signs at the end, and gave us great clues! I had a great experience and would definitely come back here again!

There were only two of us, but we were able to get through a decent amount before needing hints— done a couple of escape rooms before so had a general idea of how to approach puzzles, which helped. I went for the first time for my fiance's birthday with a couple of friends. We absolutely LOVED it. We played the Chaos Effect room and was blown away with its interactiveness and the complexity. There were so many layers and details! We appreciated how involved the game masters were - they were really gracious and supportive. Would definitely return and play the rest of the rooms.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHAOS EFFECT: it goes beyond your typical Escape Room by having an alternative objective, while traveling through time. The staff were great, and ensured we had an amazing time. Be warned this has a 4% success rate, make sure to bring your STEM friends.

A group of my colleagues went to the escape room and had a great time. The staff was friendly towards us and even gave us 15 additional minutes to solve the last clue. They ended up showing us how to complete it. It was a great team building exercise and we left happy with our experience. Turns out, the employees at Trapped took it upon themselves to contact my place of work and said our group was rude and broke props. My group was shocked to hear this because it was so far from the truth. We did not break anything to our knowledge. I could not believe they contacted my place of employment without giving our group any indication that we had acted out of line (which we 100% did not). I contacted them to discuss the issue and why their employees did not contact myself because I made the booking. They offered us 15% off our next visit which I declined. Unfortunate event and my group and I will not be going back.

Mother daughter activity. We had the best time ever! My 7 year old and I were able to work as a team and had tons of laughs and high fives the entire time! We do lots together and this was definitely a highlight for both of us!
