AAZ VANDALUR ZOO

Historical landmark Zoo

👍👍 One of the largest zoos In India, where we can find different habitats in the enclosure. They have provided lion safari and deer safari tours before, but for some reason those are stopped now. It would take one day to visit all the animals in the zoo. We could hear the lion roar, even after we move... People often mention animals, birds, visit, walk,

One of the largest zoos In India, where we can find different habitats in the enclosure. They have provided lion safari and deer safari tours before, but for some reason those are stopped now. It would take one day to visit all the animals in the zoo. We could hear the lion roar, even after we moved to look at other animals enclosures. One of the tigers was very close to the fencing and was going on a walk here and there. You can see the elephant bath around 3.00 pm. Aazp has a separate enclosure for water birds, where we can find pelicans and some other birds too. Also there are two flamingo 🦩 in there. You can also find the spotted deer roaming freely on the roads inside the zoo. Aazp conducts summer and winter programs for students -ZOO AMBASSADOR PROGRAM - so that they can be aware of animals and species in-depth. It is really appreciated for children to participate in this program. It is recommended to book online tickets for weekends. The request that I want from the zoo management 1. To make a guide who can explain animal behaviour to visitors. 2. To maintain well in the night living creatures enclosure, because the smell inside is very bad, someone could get allergies easily because of that.

One of the oldest and largest zoos in the country.. covers all varieties of flora and fauna. Must go for children For roaming inside the zoo, Various options such as cycles, electric vehicles available.. It needs about 5 hours to complete the trip. Limited food options available inside zoo. You are not allowed to carry food inside.. so plan your trip accordingly.. We were lucky to watch the white tigers playing.. zebra 🦓, rhino 🦏, birds were awesome. Plan in winter time, as the temperature is relatively low compared to summer.

Definitely you can spend a day with kids before summer. The only thing is that the parking fee and entry fee got increased drastically. Parking fee car-150rs Entry fee -200

This place used to be good and well maintained years back. Now it feels like couples park with no maintenance. Entry fee for adult is 90rs. They have put multi layer steel cages around almost all animals and birds, so with that place, it’s really hard to find where the animal is. May be they can start a game called “spot the animal”. But kids may find it entertaining.

It was so big that's why they gave a chance to use bicycle but they will give there own bicycle for rent and they will show whole zoo on a bus but for the both we should pay money. And I am warning you to take bicycle or the bus. Don't choose to walk and see the whole zoo.

Entry fee is 200rs per Adult. Battery cab ride inside the zoo costs 150rs per Adult. The battery cab will have 5 stops to go near & watch by ourselves and will run slowly to watch other animals/birds on the ride itself. Worth taking the battery cab ride if it is difficult to walk with family/kids. Cycle facility is also available inside.

During festivals they are not providing electric vehicle which is disappointing. There are lot bird of species. Looking forward for the loin safari. They can displace more information about animals.

Take your own time, big place, see all the creatures. Read about the animal written on board. Take children with you so that they can get a chance to see those creatures they saw on books and tv.

Most of the places are closed. Children play area closed. Aquarium closed. Royal bengal tiger forest area closed. Only one lion is there. But we have to pay the same Rs.90.
