This cafe is already famous for their simplicity in food as they serve south indian dishes and they are so basic and on point. I order masala dosa and it taste exactly as i expect and the price is also on point. They serve affordable food and with quality quantity both. Next this I order veg chowmein I like that too Must visit if you can But if you are paneer lover then it's not available

"Kerala Cafe in Banaras is like a warm hug for your taste buds! The staff here doesn't just serve food; they share stories through flavors. Every dish feels like a piece of Kerala's heart on a plate. The cozy ambiance adds to the whole experience, making it a place I always look forward to visiting. If you're in Banaras, don't miss the chance to savor a slice of Kerala at this delightful cafe!

In Varanasi.. if your looking for south Indian food.. please please don’t visit here.. they serve the worst , picture looks good but the taste is worst .. in the name of south India..they promote themselves I am surprised how these guys have survived the industry.. The quality has decreased drastically.need to change or work on the taste..

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kerala Cafe, a renowned South Indian restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary experience from start to finish. The menu boasted a wide array of authentic South Indian delicacies and flavours were nothing short of extraordinary.

I really love the atmosphere of here. The place is big and clean and nice sitting arrangement also the stress buster sound is on loop. Bt if we talk about service it's rather slow and don't try their rasam it's worst- it's like u r just drinking water with very bit taste. This image is of masala dosa I think it's enough for a people who's very hungry. And don't forget to try their cold coffee i really love it. The place isn't very pricy so uh can come here normally. You'll get good vibes for sure. Also if u r going on a weekend that too at night thn be ready for the line. The place will be full of people

I don't know why this place is so hyped. My experience is not that great. Food was okiesh. Sambar and rassam was literally spicy hot water. Absolutely tasteless. I found much better place in the lanes of Banaras only.

  • 5/5 Vinay Kumar M. 3 months ago on Google • 102 reviews New
Kerala House's masala dosa delivered a delightful crunch at every bite. The fermented rice-and-lentil batter held its own, thin and crisp at the edges, yielding slightly in the center. The potato masala, oh, the masala! A harmonious blend of spice and texture. Chunky potato pieces danced with aromatic ginger, mustard seeds, and a gentle warmth from chilies. It wasn't fiery, but offered a comforting heat that built with each chew. The sambar, a lentil and vegetable stew, carried a smooth tang that perfectly complemented the spice. Coconut chutney, fresh and vibrant, offered a welcome creamy respite. Each element sang solo, yet united in a symphony of South Indian flavors. Sure, it wasn't the biggest dosa I've encountered, but the portion felt satisfying, leaving me pleasantly full without a hint of post-dosa sluggishness. And, at (mention price, if desired), it was a steal for the quality and experience. If you're seeking a crispy classic with a Kerala twist, Kerala House's masala dosa is a surefire hit. Just brace yourself for a chorus of happy crunches as you devour it!

I guess this one is the Best Cafe for South Indian food in varanasi at very pocket friendly prices. I waited outside the restaurant almost everytime for availability but the wait has always been worthy because of their taste. Try bournvita/ Boost Shakes with Ice-cream and South Indian Rasm is a must try.

Kerala Cafe is a quality over quantity kind of cafe. They have a small menu but the food they serve is amazing. Also, they have amazing service. Usually, you have to wait a little bit to get a seat here as it's almost always full. I went here thrice during my stay in Varanasi and absolutely love food here. Food is pretty cheap too, and the quantities are filling. We tried: - Uttapam 4.5/5 - Rawa masala dosa 4.5/5 - Masala dosa 4.5/5 - Filter coffee 5/5 I loved the chutneys and sambhar they serve here too. Overall a very appetizing experience and would definitely recommend for you to try this ace out for some amazing south Indian food.

If you want to have South Indian food in the city of paan and poori sabzi, this is the apt place to have the delicious dosa and not to forget at super affordable price. I had only a few meals there, but I can judge the restaurant entirely based on the quality of the Rava Masala Onion Dosa. The cold coffee was also perfect. It is a cafe in Varanasi that I highly recommend trying.

Amazing place for totally authentic south indian food. Their menu is full of south indian food only which makes it their speciality and only extra Dish here is Chole bathure. Good but we don't get the space to sit as it was Sunday and too much crowd was there. So we preferred not to waste the time in waiting for the seat availability. At my college time I was regular customer there and taste was awesome. Special the cold coffee with ice cream was my favorite. All South Indian foods are amazing there and their nariyal chutney is awesome.

It's a nice place for south Indian food. Simple statement if you don't like south Indian don't go here. There is not much option and as soon as you enter the restaurant, the aroma of Sambhar is going to fill your nose and you may even want to get some fresh air.

I started visiting Kerala Cafe since 1969/70. Food quality remains the same. It grew from a small room to present day restaurant while grew up to be 65 year old. I still love to visit, enjoy authentic south Indian cuisine there. It is always nice to meet second generation who are my contemporary and third generation who take same interest as their grandfather.

Overhyped place Not recommendedat all, very poor quality food. I don't know why this place is highly rated Food - very poor in taste , bland taste specially chole bhature tasteless, road side better than this , dosas are just below average Ambience - is quite good bt very dirty and unhygienic places tissue paper lying overcrowded places Specially u have to wait for long line , always have to wait 40-50 minutes specially on weekdays Very poor management, u can easily skip this place , too much Overhyped

Kerala cafe is a famous place in Varanasi for South Indian cuisine. If you are a fan of South food then it's a must visit place there. Prices are moderate and the environment is good. But you may need to stay in a queue for sometime as there is so much crowd. So, better book your seat early.
