Very unsafe place. I made the booking in advance and payment was also done. As soon as i reached after 18 hours of travel, i was denied the room saying the specific room is blocked and not available. The staff was very rude. The room was not ready even by 2:30 for checkin time of 1:00 pm. The staff said wait till we get maintenance of the room done. Which included light repair and several other things taking few hours. After arguments they provided us another room which was super dirty, full of spiders and no basic facilities given. Asked for extra charges for everything including towel, locker, toiletries. Not even a bucket was provided. Horrifying thing was that multiple unknown people entered our room in the middle of the night as the room couldn’t be locked. They were hotel staff and not any guests. Couldn’t sleep for whole night as it felt very unsafe. Don’t book this property. Very pathetic condition rooms and washrooms. No cleaning done.

A very pleasant experience and comfy beds. The vibes of the place are good. Abhinav was a great host, very approachable and jovial. I recommend anyone staying here to hangout in the common areas as you’ll get to know a lot better of people and their stories in Varanasi.

Good place to meet and exchange stories and travel adventures & Banaras with other travelers. Hall for playing different games and great music system. well-equipped rooms and bunk beds. generally well cleaned and tidy. you can spend nice evenings before going to sleep. appetizing I spent few days here.I got to know the owners and the host.they were very nice and helpful people.

I read the reviews after booking my stay and was really skeptical about it. But to my surprise the stay was not great but not bad at all. The non-ac rooms are humid but you can opt for ac rooms. The hostel is cleaned every hour which is great in itself. The best part about this hostel is its location, everything is accessible by walking and rest you can get an auto just outside the hostel. If you are looking for a budget stay then you can go for this hostel in Varanasi

One of the worst hostels I've ever been to. Check-in was so slow and their full attention wasn't provided. They say the wifi isn't working. They initially take me to a different room to what I booked. They then take me to the right room and the bed that is for me is still dirty from the last guest. Then there's no hot water and no water even coming from that tap. The only good thing was that they fully refunded my money when I requested it so I could move somewhere else.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at your establishment. My booking for a dorm room was denied upon arrival and the staff demanded payment for the room. Later, I was informed that my booking was cancelled and I would not receive a refund. After contacting MMT support, I was informed that I would receive a partial refund, but there has been no update on the matter. As a result, I had to spend a day in the common area without sleeping for almost 2 days, as I was unable to check in. I eventually checked out a day early due to the unacceptable conditions. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I urge anyone considering booking at your hotel to read this review and be aware of the negative experiences that can occur. The hotel's positive feedback is self-posted and does not reflect the true nature of the property. Moreover, the place is filled with smokers and there were matches and cigarettes all over the place, making the environment uncomfortable and unpleasant. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope that this feedback will encourage you to make the necessary improvements to ensure that future guests do not have similar negative experiences.

I booked a 6 bed dorm bed and they moved me to a 16 bed dorm because the latter one has AC. They said they wouldn’t charge me more and they’d let me move to a bottom bunk the day after. When I told them I wanted to extend one more night, the receptionist tried to charge me more and didn’t let me move to a bottom bunk. If you don’t keep your promises, this is the bad review you deserve. I don’t even know why they charge for the AC cuz I can’t feel the AC at all DON’T STAY HERE

Pros :- 1 - The first thing which impressed me was their prices for dorms which was around 160-170. ( Cost of private rooms are a bit high ) 2 - The second thing was their common area, like it was amazing. One of the best common areas I have seen till date. 3 - Third is the man who was on the reception, he's such a sweet man. He was very friendly and hospitable. 4 - If you like a place where you can sit in peace , away from the honking of cars and unwanted noises. You can prefer this place. 5 - No any problem of late checkout or early checkin as there common area is soo cool and comfortable that you can sit or lay down for 4-6 hours and wait for check in or do a late checkout. ( They don't have any problem if you'll be in their common area, they won't charge anything ) Cons :- 1 - The first problem I faced was finding this hotel, the location is good but it's a bit inside the street so it was confusing. Tip :- ( instead of following google map, get nearby the hostel and call the receptionist ) 2 - The cheapest dormitory is good but you'll feel a bit uncomfortable as the room size is small and has 6 beds. Tip :- ( Prefer 4 bed or 2 bed dorms ) Happy Stay !!

Not at all clean place. Dirty toilets, dirty floor, no good location. Dirty common area and not good amenities as per mentioned at hotel. AC works on limited time basis, need to use fan to feel cooler... No good AC room... Better look for PEARL Hotel Dormitory. Not at all good Dormitory... Worst Maintenance. Reception boy is friendly but not maintained well. Check other dormitory instead of Mad Squads. Do not fall for Ratings and check rooms & toilets physically before check in. Owner Dolly should look into cleanliness of property.

So i booked this place for 2days.. I must say this is a pathetic place to stay. Dont blindly book this place.. Very shady place washroom in the private room was too small. Also the staffs were very rude, literally they don't have any manners. Worst experience!!!! Before booking kindly look at the reviews...

NOT RECOMMENDED - Location : extremely creepy, a very small gate in a dark street, with no proper name board or even lights. - Cleanliness: very unhygienic, private rooms have dampness on walls, uncleaned blankets and bedding. Dust all around. No ventilation in capsule rooms, it stinks. - Ambience : If you are a hipster, smoke and drink and want to chill with similar gang, you can only do that in the rooftop. - Services : No towels, No waterbottle, common washroom for top floor with no roof over, very unsafe and uncomfortable for girls. - Hosts: some volunteers hosting there were friendly. Overall it seemed like a local college boys hostel where all you need is a bed to sleep. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Everything is nice. Common area is great. Nice ambience. Nice rooms. Private rooms are also available. There is a terrace where you can sit and chill in the night. Several games can be played in common area. Great part of mad squad is their walls.

Great place in the middle of the chaos of Varanasi but on a side street so you get less noise. Great rooftop and common areas with some nice street art. The best part about the place was our host Abhi, super genuine and helpful bro. He organised our itinerary and always looked after us.

A Good place to stay with freinds on budget freindly pockets, I will suggest you go with AC rooms as they only 150 more than the non AC one, but it's worthful experience. Abhiraj , Deepak all staff are justt cool they literally pass the vibe check. Washroom and cleanliness was Good. Location on maps are very confusing just visit the nearby locations and call them they will perfectly guide to their hostels. You can get everything on that hostel even they can provide bike rentals and Explore the Kashi on bikes.

It was a good experience staying here. Rooms are small, but sufficient for 2 people. Window AC's are there. It works all the time. Bathrooms are small. It's a big problem. But apart from that, it's a fun place. The common area and the roof top is too good. You can have a party and be relaxed. It's a full party vibe there. You can see them in the videos posted by me. Apart from them graffiti present on the walls are treat to the eyes.

The location is good. But they lack the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms and toilets. Very tiny rooms for the number of beds that they are providing. Common washrooms are used but I don't know by how many people. It's a lot. The common room and rooftop area are not very well maintained. The hostel doesn't have a cafe/restaurant. The crowd is usually very typical, consisting of a lot of locals and people from nearby states, very less diversity. Friends of staff and owners usually take up the common area.

Bad accomodation!! don't recommend it!!! they hack your booking account (we think through WiFi) and give good reviews! When we left we had a comment in our name saying that everything was good, with the maximum score!! But we didn't do that review! It is a filthy place, they have no care or attention in keeping anything clean and organized. The rooms are old, with bad smell. Hard to find. The overall location is not bad, but it is in a dark alley.

Pathetic place to stay. If you want mental peace then stay away from this stay. We booked a 5 dorm beds in a 6 sharing dorm room. When we reached after traveling for 16 hours we were told that we have to pay extra for AC dorms, our booking wasn't showing Non-AC dorms, but they said if we had to stay in AC then we had to pay extra. We denied paying any extra money and adjusted to the 6 sharing non AC dorm room. But the place was dirty, and there wasn't a soap in the washroom, and washroom wasn't ventilated at all, which made the room stink badly. One of 5 dorm beds even didn't have a curtain to restrict light while sleeping. The room was full of mosquitoes, therefore, we shut the door. We called the staff at the reception to help us with a soap which he earlier promised to give, but to our surprise another staff came to our room and started behaving extremely rudely, he said that he won't be giving any soap to us, and started lashing out on us for keeping the doors shut. It was 1 am in the night, and this guy went to an extent wherein he said that he would cancel our booking if we demand a soap or keep the doors shut, and therefore he would ensure that we leave the hotel at the midnight. When we countered him by saying that we had expensive luggage with us, including couple of laptops because we were working remotely, then he said "Nobody is interested in your luggage". Travellers I want you to know that this happened to our group which comprised 5 adult men. They were extremely unruly, the place is immensely untidy and shady, and there is absolutely no value for money. The only good thing is it's location. But there are plethora of hostels out there. Stay safe, stay happy by avoiding booking Mad Squad.

Cost effective .. But few staff members are highly negligent towards customer service. Hygienic,, 16 bedded dorms are pretty spacious.. Well connected with the most important areas of the city.. Bt is itself located in some narrow and interior street.. Not a good option of for someone who wants luxury and has high expectations but pretty okay for solo travellers or few backpackers who want to explore the place more than to chill at the hostel.. Kindly get the staff trained to behave well with the visitors..though few of them were very polite and well spoken too.

Had an amazing stay here with my girl gang. Staff is polite, knows all about the best places to explore in city and cooks amazing breakfast. Thanks to the lady who owns this place, there is much focus on female safety like cctv, female specific dorms, well-behaved staff and you get resolution to everything in a click. This is a hostel for the solo traveler ; the lifts are not working so we've gotta climb three floors. Apart from that it's kept as neat and clean as possible! The atmosphere on the rooftop is chill.

Property in itself is beautiful. Host is more like a family. This place is just magical where time just passes by talking to amazing people truly the best hostel in Varanasi. This is an excellent hostel in the heart of Varanasi's back-alleys. It's located quite close to major markets and temples, and is super comfortable and clean (I especially recommend the pod beds). The staff are also great, really friendly and eager to help you plan out your trip/provide pointers. Highly recommend

A must visit hostel in Banaras. The Hostel staffs were quite friendly and always ready to serve you in any way they can. Remember the name "Abhiraj" and "Roshan" those guys will provide us the best service in hostel. The environment is awesome, common area is lit 🔥 and terrace part is good. Hostel is happening and budget friendly stay with close proximity to the popular attractions of this city. Worth having this experience. Thank you Mad Squad for this wonderful experience.

The staff were supportive but helpless. I visited this place in November 2022 and stayed for two days on the top floor dorm and it did not have attach washroom, got to know there were four washrooms/ cabins in a row but for which you have to pass through the common area. Moreover, toilet seats were okay, but shower cabins were open from the top which can cause privacy concerns. Electricity issues during night (they were trying to create using generator) and tap water ran out early morning.

worst property ever visited. zero support from backend team. and what I heard there is no hygiene maintained at the property. room is not worth the price. clearly not a descent place to stay. they say their travel is affected due to less visitors are coming , hench they will not refund your money if you paid them by mistake. I won't recommend anyone to book their stay at this property online. If you really want just walkin directly and ask for a room. But their are many places better than this at the price of the room they are providing. Rooms doesn't look good. Location is not good, its a really busy area. Not recommended at all.

Great dorms, common area and roof area are best for enjoying or relaxing after the city tours. Had an amazing evening with soothing music, stand-up comedy, and karaoke at the roof top. Capsules beds are incredibly interesting to try. Being solo female traveler, I had my insecurities, but the staff is superb. They will make you feel safe and will also update you about best routes through the city. Thank you, will visit again for Dev Diwali in November

Worst experience ever. 1. Location is pathetic and unhygienic, clumsy, untidy and smelly rooms, toilets have broken seat covers, bathrooms are leaky and way too small. 2. Owner was very rude and uncooperative, initially pretended to be all friendly but blamed customers for any inconvenience they faced 3.
