Nice establishment situated on the drive into Cottage Country. Great place to kick-off a trip out of Ottawa. The wings are delicious and drinks are a great value. The staff were sweet and helpful.

Clean and an excellent retro boho vibe motel with exceptional staff and attention to detail in all things. I can't wait to go back to chill out and just go with the flow. This place is the cleanest prettiest motel I have ever stayed in and trust me I've stayed in many. Don't hesitate to stay here and relax and just be. You won't regret it.

Nicely eclectic decor. I would describe it as a taster menu. Small portions, but priced accordingly. You can try multiple things. At least, that was their brunch menu. The food was very good and the coffee was excellent. Even their regular pot coffee was very good. They have booths set up, but the benches and table move, so you can pull your chair/bench in after you sit down to create an even cozier space. Personal suggestion to the kitchen, I would love to try a salmon eggs Benny on your avocado toast. πŸ₯‘ Overall, we enjoyed our first visit.

I chose this hotel based on reviews and price. When we arrived we parked at the back and we weren't sure where to enter. Even though there was a busy event going on the front clerk noticed us outside and came outside to greet us. Kate was very friendly and welcoming. We had the Leonard Cohen room and it was very cool. So many special touches. The bathroom was beautiful. Loved the shower. The Dyson hair dryer was lovely except now I want one. The only small issue for me is I wish there was a chair in the room. There really isn't much room. I wake up early and it would be nice to have a place to sit other than in bed. Other than that the room was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed in Le Nid, the camper room, and found it absolutely delightful! It's clear the owner did some intentional thinking into the design to make it feel cozy and homelike, while also making it feel like a fun adventure! All the staff we interacted with, from the front desk to the restaurant, to the owner themselves, were warm and friendly, helpful and ready to build a small slice of intentional community connection during our stay. The owner especially (I'm sorry, it's been two months, I've forgotten your name!) was awesome! Super accommodating, and received feedback well! It's clear their heart is in this place, from the intentional design, to the staff, to the layout.. it's amazing! And the Korean fried sandwich is a returnable sandwich! I don't say this lightly -- if that was my last meal on earth, I'd die happily. Definitely returning at some point! What an amazing oasis.

Our stay at the newly renovated Motel Chelsea was so great. We were greeted by a super friendly lady who sang us a little Happy Anniversary song on arrival! Haha it was super cute. She showed told us about the gorgeous little vintage style restaurant and what kind of food they have but we had already made dinner plans. Next time we would definitely try it! The room itself (the starlight) was really unique and had the best little details and even a surprise decor feature that was super cool… but just go check it out for yourself!! The bathroom was beautifully renovated with a lovely shower and the most beautiful lighting at the mirror and even a Dyson hair dryer. We loved it here and would absolutely come back again!! Thank you to the owners who made our anniversary a little extra special <3

The room was cute and well designed. The restaurant was super busy and there wasn't enough staff to take care of us. We waited for a long to for the server to come. She was overwhelmed but bought our drinks so that was nice. The food options were too experimental. The Karrage Chicken was so dry and inedible. My Chicken Kimchi burger was fine, but late at night I would have liked a simpler choice. I also think the rooms should have their own coffee maker. It was uncomfortable to get dressed and go out into the main building for coffee. I would also pay for bottled water if it was in the room. There was almost too much beer offered in the room. But I would try a stay again. These are all minor things.

We had a great time and loved your Motel. Was perfect for our tribe and birthday celebration. Just a couple suggestions. 1) a nice small chair in the rooms (appreciate not a lot of room but a chair would be good). 2) plusher bath towels. Well done! Good luck. Cheers Bob

Absolutely stunning stay. The room was inviting and fun. Check-in and out were very easy. Absolutely loved our stay.

We went for lunch... But it was mid-week and the kitchen was closed. Nonetheless we had a great time. The shop attached to the restaurant has sandwiches, which they heated up on a grill. They were delicious. We would love to go for dinner in the near future. The motel/restaurant is extremely easy to get to.

My overnight stay at Motel Chelsea was simply outstanding. The staff went above and beyond, making me feel genuinely cared for. The room was not only comfortable but also had a touch of charm that made it stand out. Didn't have a sterile and cold feel often found in hotel/motel rooms, really felt comfortable and safe. Overall, Motel Chelsea gets a solid 10/10 from me for a fantastic experience! Thank you to the staff for the wonderful hospitality :)

Very enjoyable stay with my family at this beautiful thematic motel. We rented many rooms and the 2 apartments for 3 nights, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Very reasonably priced. Comfortable and fun rooms and apartments, extremely well decorated and furnished. All rooms and apartments are different. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. Very nice and friendly staff. Super cozy and pleasant spaces. Awesome bathrooms. Great boutique selling food, gifts and products found in the rooms. Highly recommended!! My family and I are looking at coming back for sure!

We always enjoy our stay at the Motel Chelsea. It is comfortable and we love the vibe. The staff is exceptionally kind and goes out of their way to accommodate us each time. We do wish Chelsea had a ride share or cab company to get us too and from town but that is no fault of the folks at the Motel.

Booked a stay for two nights after a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. I was very much looking forward to staying here and my expectations were exceeded. The superior customer service, clean rooms and public areas, and a warm and quirky atmosphere will bring me back!

Amazing, charming eclectic accommodations in a quiet spot, close to Chelsea, Wakefield, and across from Gatineau park. From the staff to the room to the food(highly recommend!), it was an eclectic wonderful experience just perfect for us adventuring in the area. The updated retro rooms were top notch. The little store was full of great locally sourced items. Definitely recommend if you want a quieter, sophisticated, laid back restful stay.

We went there for breakfast without the kids. The interior is really cute with retro deco, which I really like. The food and service was good. We did not sleep there but the rooms also seem really well decorated and cozy (based on their website). We will definitly consider spending a night there without the kids just for the atmosphere and food. The bar seems like a romantic place to spend an evening. They also have a small boutique to look around and shop. Oh! And the italian sodas are good! We will be going back πŸ₯°

Motel Chelsea is a funky, fun motel with THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel/motel. The bedding is super high end and soft and the bathroom amenities are excellent. The design/decor of the room was superb. The first thing I did was put on a record! The shop was super cool as well. Next time I come, I will definitely eat at the restaurant! Highly recommend!

They should call this the Chelsea boutique hotel because this is not a motel! Rooms are great, bathrooms are incredible but the service and people working there are the absolute best! My fiancΓ© and I where there for the August long weekend for a wedding. The ladies working at the front desk where amazing about making sure our late (11:45 pm) check in went well, offered us a room upgrade, answered every question we had. The amenities where fantastic, breakfast at the restaurant and a late night drink at the bar. Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Love this restaurant and shop! The food and service is excellent. I live that there are many choices and they are fantastic quality. Can't beat the ambiance and service. Happy to have this gem in the region!

We had a small private event at Motel Chelsea and everything was fantastic! Our people raved about the rooms and the restaurant/bar. Brunch and dinner were a huge hit and the whole team was so friendly. We'll definitely be back soon!

We unfortunately did not get to stay here due to the ice storm however the staff had notified me that they do not have power and provided updates as I was travelling from Ontario. They were so helpful, caring and assisted me with a refund since I had to cancel my stay. We were certainly looking forward to staying here based on how cute it looked.

The experience and atmosphere for a short getaway was amazing. Rooms are very comfortable and brings you back in the 70! We were a little disappointed with the dinner. My plate was very small and would have been more of an appetizer than a meal. Wish the waiter would have advised me of this. All in together, it was a really fun experience.

I had a great one-night stay at Motel Chelsea with my partner. We stayed Sunday-Monday, so the restaurant was closed for brunch (but we would have liked to try it). We stayed in the "Flamingo room. The wallpaper was fun! We thought the little items in the room added some quirky personality (the record player, funky fridge, etc.) The bathroom was actually REALLY nice. The rainfall shower was great, the vanity area was super well lit and the Dyson hair dryer was an unexpected luxury. Since we checked in outside of regular Sunday operating hours we did the remote/self-check-in option *which was super easy! We would stay here again if we are in the area. It is less than a 10-minute drive to Old Chelsea and Gatineau Park. The only thing that would make this Motel better would be if it had some amenities (pool, hot tub, fire pit). But overall, it was a great value and it was fun to stay in a quirky room.

I would have liked a full length mirror somewhere in the room. And though there were chairs outside the door there weren't any in the room. I loved having the accessible coffee room but the coffee maker was slow. Other than these few suggestions, we loved our stay. The bathroom was gorgeous and the Leonard Cohen theme was a very nice touch. I also loved the books and newspaper left in the room. The main restaurant was beautiful and comfortable and the french toast croissant with maple ice cream was to die for!

Grossly overpriced!! I went with a friend for the thanksgiving dinner special, which was a standard turkey dinner, that came with soup and a piece of pie. My meal alone was more than $30!! With one glass of wine, plus a tip, my total was $50 for just myself. The food was good and so was the service, but this is a highway cafe diner, not a downtown fine dining establishment, and the price was absolutely obscene.

Been eating there for at least 20 years now . The food is great whether you go for breakfast ,lunch or dinner there's something on the menu for everyone. Dan, the owner is always there and always ready to spark up a conversation with you ,nice guy . Staff is friendly and on the ball at all times .Of course it's always nice to get away from the city and this is a great place to get away to.

Motel Chelsea is beautiful, comfortable, in a great location (close to Chelsea, Wakefield, Nordik Spa, Ottawa). Our room was the 'Starlite room' and it was nicely decorated, fridge stocked with a great assortment for purchase, and a delucious snack assortment for purchase. Clean and comfortable rooms with easy check-in, and boasting a stunning lounge/ lobby/ store/ cocktail bar in the main building area. Room comes with access to a coffee (and tea, fruit, muffins, yogurt) room that's just inside the main building. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Excellent service at the restaurant/bar, great vibes, good wines and nice music where you can listen to the music and still talk. And the store has alot of delicacies to take home.
