An amazing view from top! you can buy two types of tickets to get to the dome. 8 euros to go up by foot (quite an exercise), and 10 euros to get up with the elevator. once you see the dome, you have the option to keep going up (stairs only) and see a beautiful view of Rome from top. Highly recommended!

This is a gateway in Rome to Vatican City but not for the public or tourists. It is highly detailed inside and named after Perugino the painter who painted the frescos inside. The outside is highly detailed with carvings and sculptures. Vatican City is definitely worth going inside but this ancient gateway is not the place to enter.

I don't know who added this. The entrance is not for the public. There is no dome or paintings. Guards are standing by. Don't go specially there

This entrance is for staff only, so you can’t pass here as Google suggests.

One of the entry points to Vatican city, mistaken by many as the entry to the Vatican museum and the Sistine chapel. Entry is highly restricted to those working in the Vatican and those dignitaries living at the Domus Santa Marthae.

Porta del Perugino is a beautiful and historic gateway in Rome, located within the city's ancient walls. The gateway is named after the artist Perugino, who painted frescoes on the interior walls. The exterior of the gateway is adorned with intricate carvings and decorative elements, making it a beautiful sight to behold. The surrounding area is also worth exploring. The walls of Rome are located just a short walk away, and these ancient ruins offer a glimpse into the city's rich history. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes in the area, making it a great place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the city. The best time to visit Porta del Perugino is in the spring or fall, when the weather is mild and the crowds are less overwhelming. This is also a great time to explore the surrounding area, as the cooler temperatures make it more comfortable to walk around and sightsee. Whether you're a history buff or just curious to learn more about the city's rich cultural heritage, Porta del Perugino is a must-see destination.

the google said this is the entrance for the vatican. it is not, and you have to be careful if you try to enter by this gate with the guards, they're not the friendest.
