Historic place for Switzerland, but nothing else to do

Excellent insight into military life in Switzerland during WW2. Not sure though there are guided tours in English... This fort has been restored by passionate volunteers and doesn't get any subsidy from the government!

Very nice visit. Very well explained by our guide. Good moment in our military history of the 2nd World War.

One of must sea places in Vallorbe. Good to combine in one trip with the visit to caves

History

Very well preserved artillery bunker from WWII. Can only be visited with a guide. Since the tour is only in French and we would have needed our own headphones for the audio guide, we didn't understand everything, but the explanations were so well done that you could still glean a lot from the context. A visit is really highly recommended.

Fort très bien à visiter, le seul bémol est qu'on passe "vite" les pièces par manque de temps. Le faite que l'électricité et autres reste d'époque et fonctionnel est très intéressant. Je recommande. Et merci à la guide, on voit qu'elle aime ce qu'elle fait, très honnête de dire qu'on ne sait pas et c'est très appréciable.

Superbe visite d'un des hauts lieux du patrimoine suisse. Le fort est vraiment incroyable et Bernadette a été une superbe guide qui nous a bien fait sentir l'âme du lieu. Je recommande vraiment de visiter si vous êtes dans la région c'est une équipe de passionnés et on a beaucoup de chance qu'ils s'occupent si bien de préserver ce lieu unique

Accessible on foot from Day station (35-40 min), the interior of the fort can only be visited during visiting hours. The exterior is accessible at all times with a pretty open terrace which overlooks the valley.
