Having a restaurant that serves food from where you come from is a big plus but that also means that the price tag is huge. Where I come from, the food they serve is probably 20% of the price or less with much better taste (pardon me for being spoilt by really good food back home). Service is really good, they came promptly to take orders and the food came freshly made and the portions were pretty liberal (compared to almost all food outlets at downtown). Our water was topped up promptly as well as there was some good heat in the food so that's a big plus too! When I'm feeling rich, I'll definitely come here again to satisfy my home food craving.

The restaurant has ample (shared) parking. Upon entry, they check the vaccination record and take the temperature of everyone. Each table has a sanitizer bottle and they encourage the use of their on-lube menu (paper menus available upon request. The service was not very friendly and a bit hurries. All the food arrived together within a short period of time after ordering. The food is very tasty and flavourful. If you don't likely very spicy food, you can request dishes to be less spicy.

Awesome food, amazing service. I was very impressed with social distancing and the check ins. This is one of my favourite restaurants. Will Definitely recommend this restaurant 👍🏽👍🏽

A bit underwhelming. I liked the penang laksa the most: authentic and flavourful (a bit sharp on the seasoning). The satay was pretty decent and the marinate was not too sweet. Roti canai was a disappointment. It lacked crispiness and some parts tasted like uncooked flour. The belachan beans was more like low quality XO sauce and the belachan did not really come out.

Really enjoyed the Penang Char Kuay Teow (flat noodles, looks like hand cut noodles), Roti Canai with Mutton, Gado Gado and ABC (shaved ice dessert). The service was excellent and atmosphere was relaxing. From the outside it looks small but inside is spacious and relaxing. Will be back again, excellent food and service!

It was my first time having Malaysian food at this restaurant. The decoration was pleasant and very relaxing. They offered a great variety of Singaporean, Malay & Thai cuisine. The food quality was good & the service was excellent. Although it was a bit pricey but my overall experience was great so, it was worth it.

We came here as a group of 4 for dinner. The portions are quite big and prices are reasonable. Our favourite was surprisingly the Tom Yum soup and the Char kuay teow. The Tom Yum soup had a nice kick to it which we enjoyed. The Nasi Goring was a bit too "wet" for us as we felt that it should be drier. The roti with beef curry was mediocre and wasn't special. The water glory veggie was disappointing and did not have enough flavour. Also they do cash ONLY so I find that to be a bit inconvenient.

This has been one of the most popular restaurants in Richmond Hill and rightfully so. Their staff are wonderful, their food is great and their prices are reasonable - especially for their lunch menu. I would literally recommend everything off their menu.

Malay Kari / Coconut Curry /馬來咖喱 - Mutton /Kambing /羊肉 • Roti / 薄餅 • Pad Thai / 泰式炒河 One of my favourite restaurants for Singapore/Malaysia/Thai food. Was craving for Malaysian Curry and didn’t regret getting it from this place. It’s so flavourful and delicious. Love that the mutton was so meaty and lean, it’s tender without excessive fat. The Pad Thai was good and tasty with great portions.

A family run restaurant that serves delicious food and a welcoming place to dine. Recently did a takeout order and was not disappointed. The quality, quantity and bold flavours has remained consistent throughout the years since the first day they opened. Highly recommend!

Food, perfect, a bit on sweet side, but a good balance with spices and chili. Portion are generous. We asked the waitress for some recommendations, she suggested satay, Singapore Laksa and Roti curry which we ordered. Chicken and lamb satay are completely delicious without any meaty smell. Egg Fried noodles(maybe not accurate )is kind of fried wide rice noodle/or noodle topping with sauce that includes squid shrimp which is quite delicate compared to others. But you can taste a distinct smoke fried flavor which is interesting. Fried rice with pine apple is good that we all like. Roti and curry are superb without much chili. But I would say, I hope there would be a bit more roti to serve with the curry. Roti is quit similar to the Malaysian style Paratha that you usually could buy at grocery store. Laksa is quite chilli with rich spices and consistent noodles.Over all, a nice food adventure to me.

This is absolutely the best Malaysian food I’ve ever had. Now it’s absolutely the first time I’ve ever tried Malaysian food but it won’t be the last. I think I paid a total of $12 for each of these dishes. It was a lunch special. I’m definitely coming back. By the way, their customer service was amazing. Extremely friendly, extremely fast and it was clean. Cash only!

The food is yummy here! Pretty delicious! Service was good. You might need time to look for parking, but we were able to grab one pretty quickly. The ambiance were very relaxing. I especially enjoyed the curry noodle, definitely do not recall what is the name on the menu. Their chicken was also very tender too.

Great lunch deal! $12 big portions, great flavours! 9 selections to choose from. Clean beautiful environment. Great service. Love their spicy sauce. Durian smoothie also good. 18% service charge included in my bill for table of 8.

Great place. The skewers are super good, especially with the peanut sauce. I've tried a few of the dishes here and I haven't been disappointed yet. Really good flavours. Good service and good portions.

I went for a lunch when it was open for dining in. It's large space with enough spacing btw tables with partitions. The lunch set was really big portion and the price was really affordable. The taste was average but skewers were pretty nice.

Delicious authentic fresh food, amazing and friendly service from Angela. Had an awesome lunch here. We got the Mee Goreng (noodles), Singapore Chicken and rice, chicken/crab/corn soup and shrimp okra. Finished off with some Malaysian tea and mango sticky rice for dessert. Was easy to get a table at lunch, but apparently they are busier for dinner on weekends. Looking forward to going back to try more!

The food is so authentic that both me and my kid love it. Though we’ve ordered take out, the food came out fast, hot and fresh when I drove back home. Will definitely recommend it to my other friends. And hopefully one day we will dine in and see the differences than the take out!

Their satay mutton is really good and their roti is a little on the sweet side which we like. We tried the tamarind beef which the owner lady forewarn us that it is authentic and sour and we may not like it as much. Will definitely try other authentic items next time for fun

So happy to have found this place to satisfy those Malaysian food cravings! They serve a wide range of authentic Malaysian dishes like Gado Gado, roti, teh tarik, Laksa, juicy tender satay skewers (they even have mutton) What a treat! 😋 Not to mention they have wonderful staff and spaced and divided seating for a comfortable meal! It’s a must try if you haven’t already been! I can’t wait to go back to try all their other favourites.

What is Malaysian cuisine? A good combination of Indian and Chinese cuisines. This busy restaurant offers the familiar food that we love like pad thai, green and red curry but I decided to order the fried chicken and it was a balanced mix of Biryani and Chinese fried rice!

Top tasting Malaysian/Sinaporean restaurant in Richmond Hill. Came here for lunch, all items on lunch menu were $11, very good value. Thai Minced Chicken Rice was flavorful and big portion was served along with a fried egg and sliced oranges as palette cleansers. Singapore Chicken Rice tasted authentic as they used plain white chicken instead of the yellow skinned chicken found in Hong Kong cafe. Rice was fragrant and you can smell the herbs and chicken stock. Singapore fish ball noodle soup was light tasting. We ordered it flat rice noodle or alternatively you can pair it with vermicelli. Gado Gado salad is our go to appetizer. It has cooked bean sprouts, jicama, boiled egg and shredded cucumber with rich tasting fresh peanut sauce that comes with shrimp chips on the side. Servers were friendly and attentive. Restaurant is very clean, they have wall dividers setup, so it feels like you're sitting in booths. However, your clothing does smell a bit greasy upon exit.

2nd time eating here, no complaints about service but only concern is food, they don’t taste like before. For instance, we bought chicken and seafood fried rice but we couldn’t eat them. Very nice service and clean place.

Food pretty good. Recommend roti, like the mild sweetness. Best fried rice and noodle ever. The green bean not so good, a little bit raw and lack of flavour. Plan to go again

Food is good; however, it is Canadianized. I think the owner would like to fit the Canadian customers and make such adjustments. Overall the taste of the food is great. The roti is excellent.

Restoran Malaysia have been around for many years, I visited them at least 10 years ago if not longer. We came here this time on a Saturday (Lunch around 11:30am). No need to wait for a table for two at this time. Everyone is super friendly here. We ask our server to recommend a few dishes for us and she is really taking the time to explain the menu to us. We ordered some Malay style curry with meat (Coconut curry with thin sause so you can eat with rice or roti). We also ordered a dry curry dish which is very nice as well. We also ordered the coconut steam rice which is not bad. Nothing is too spicy here but it is very personal. We will come back and try their MEDAN FRIED CHICKEN. Parking is a real challenge here and it took me a good 10 minutes to wait for a parking spot. Price is a bit on the high side for lunch but you pay for what you get.

An authentic malaysian neighbourhood restaurant. Food is always very tasty and portions good. Our favorites are the wat tan ho fried noodle and pineapple fried rice. We ordered the Malay Fried Chicken for the first time and it did not disappoint. It was very crispy and flavourful. Will definitely recommend this place to eat!

The menu selection is great with lots of dishes to choose from. The service is fast and very friendly. My only comment would be that this establishment only accepts cash. Who carries cash these days. They mentioned Covid was the reason but that does not make sense as cashless would be the way to go. For the owner, something to think about as we ordered less probably and the servers are probably not getting the tips they deserve.

First time eating here since Covid came into our lives. It is first come first serve so no reservations are needed. They have good COVID screening protocols. Upon entering you must sanitize your hands, fill in the contact tracing and your temperature is taken. The tables along the walls have dividers to help with social distancing and to protect patrons while they eat. The utensils are clean and come in a wax paper bag. The menu is a QR code. We ordered: 1. N05 Basil Mussels 2. K21 Green curry beef 3. A03 Satay chicken 4. A04 Satay seafood 5. E14 Black Peppered Beef Kuay Teow 6. C01 Tom Yum Goong soup 7. E16 Pineapple Fried Rice 8. T03 Goring Plsang (Mango) Fried Banana and Mango ice cream The flavours of each dish is delicious! The only minor improvements I would note is the Kuay Teow could be less salty and the mussel dish was a bit too watery. My favourite dishes are the soup, dessert and skewers. The roti is also very good but we didn’t order it this time. They have so many dishes to choose from! Would highly recommend! 👍👍

Ordered the nasi lemak for take out pretty pricey for how much rice makes up this dish but understandable for the number of elements that went into it. Liked the pickled onions in it but felt is was lacking somewhere in flavour.

Restaurant is great at following covid protocol and checks vaccine records. We had a bit of a struggle getting our records out but after that the service was amazing! The food came out quickly and was hot. Portion sizes are fairly large given the prices. The cost per dish is around $20. I would definitely suggest ordering rice or roti with the curries since they don’t come with anything. Make sure to ask for recommendations on their more traditional dishes if you’re interested!

Visited on a Saturday evening at 5pm. Friendly staff and I was able to secure a table without booking, however, come 6pm the restaurant quickly fills up and expect to wait. I tried a lychee iced drink which was very nice. The skewers of beef and chicken were also pretty good, although a little on the expensive side for what you got. The portion of pad thai was very generous and the price was reasonable. I believe you get value for money. The meal was well cooked too. There is a wide variety on the menu and the prices are reasonable considering the portion size. The facilities and restaurant was clean.

Delicious Singapore chicken rice! I am still thinking about it. The Singapore laksa was good too, but it would have been better with seafood. I know this dish is a bit different everywhere. Just personal preference!

Good quality seafood dishes. Friendly staff and covid measures are well taken. Different entry and exit. Staffs were all wearing face shield including mask and gloves. Felt safe dine in.

As a Singaporean living in the GTA with severely limited options for food from back home, this place is a very reasonable option for me if I am missing home, although prices are on a slightly steeper side albeit the portions can be easily shareable between 2-3 people. For a restaurant that claims to serve Malaysian food, it is absurd that the curry is an extra charge with the Roti Canai/Prata when it is a default combination, much like a coffee shop charging extra for sugar with coffee. Although the curry is an extra charge, it lies more on the watery side when it’s supposed to be packed with spices and slight sourness. Nevertheless, it does the job for an eatery serving this dish thousands of kilometres away from Singapore/Malaysia. The Laksa was on the creamy but slightly bland side which gets easily fixed with their in house homemade sambal belacan. If not for the sambal belacan, the Laksa would have been a pity. The Laksa portion was generous with lots of fishcakes, Taupok (tofu chunks), yellow noodles and more, omitting the cockles which traditionally accompanies with the entire dish. The Teh Halia (ginger tea) seems pricey at $5, although it does some justice to the usual Teh halia that we get at “mamak” stalls in Singapore/Malaysia. Overall, as a Singaporean, I do approve the food served at this place although there is still room for improvement if authenticity is one of the aims of this restaurant.

It's been years since I last ate here and the quality of food has changed. The portion sizes were good but the food was very lightly seasoned. The price was steep for the quality at a richmond hill restaurant.
