Belwood Lake Conservation Area is a bit of a hidden gem not too far from Toronto. $7.50 for an adult day pass, with lots of parking. but you can enjoy the lake, the scenery, trails, camping, picnics, and fishing. we went early and there were lot of people enjoying the outdoors. The dam is pretty interesting as there are some great views from the dam and locations for good photos. People are hiking, biking walking the steps of the dam, fishing and really enjoying themselves. Found all the people to be very friendly here as well. You can apparently launch your own boat and enjoy the lake. we saw kayaks, small and big boats, some guys were on pontoons fishing. Very large area and plan to spend a whole day here. The only draw back for me was that with covid restrictions everywhere, the area was very busy with people.

Great multi activity spot just around an hour out of GTA. $7.50 per adult & $2.99 for kids 4 and above. Left to the entrance is a small parking which takes you to a quick walk to the dam. If you take the narrow road to the left of this parking, it will lead to a small still water beach/quarry which is nicely separated into a shallow water kids side & deeper water adult side. There is also a small playground here which was closed off. To the right of the entrance is the boating area & access to a large picnic area. There is also a large washroom here. The good thing is there are plenty of secluded spots with benches throughout the area where you can just park on the side & setup bbq & picnic tables. Another great thing is the availability of many taps with running water so you can easily wash utensils & freshen up. Overall, a nice place to add to the list of places to visit in summer.

Well maintained. Great views. Lots of picnic tables. The Elora cataract trail passes through this area. Lots of portages around the reservoir. Great for boating, kayaking and fishing. Watch out for mosquitoes and bugs while using the picnic areas.. There are a lot of them!!

A hidden gem. You don't get this place mentioned in travel blogs, suggestions, etc. which is very surprising. This is a beautiful lake with a nice park and a natural trail around it. You don't see too many people around. The trail is big and I would suggest taking bicycles if you want to complete the entire trail. Also, for the lake, people get their own boats, kayaks, jet skis as nothing is available there. Finally, there would be a small fee at the entry. You can still visit because the fall colors are yet to blossom.

Entry to the park with a fee. Park has a trail and lower beach area that closes 8pm. The dam and the lake looks gorgeous in Spring.

This was a great experience for us. The staff were really nice. The beach was so clean & it has a really great vibe. The changing rooms & washrooms were also good. It was really good that it was not so crowded. It really worths it & we definitely gonna come back to this place

So beautiful place , much better and clean than famous beaches around the area . Trail for walking and cycling . Fishing is allowed as well. Marvelous view at dam. Boating is one of the best option at place .

Very beautiful area. The dam is pretty cool to look at. Lots of families picnicking for the day. Only thing that I didn't really like was all the power boats and jet skis. I know some people really like that kind of thing but I prefer quiet. The Elora cataract trail goes right through Bellwood Lake and it's a great place to stop for bathrooms and a snack before heading into Elora.

Great local spot for a walk or to dip your toes in the lake. Rent a boat and take it out on the lake for the day or find a shady spot for a picnic. Small swimming hole for the kids, too.

Lovely park with some great views. Not crowded like the mainstream areas and quite well maintained. We really enjoyed our evening hike on a sunny weekend evening! Close proximity to GTA and the nearby Elora town adds an old world charm. Perfect place for a hike with family and friends.

The park is well-maintained and offers a variety of activities for all ages, including fishing, boating, and hiking. The scenery is breathtaking, and you can easily spend hours exploring the trails and enjoying the wildlife. It's the perfect place to escape the city and recharge your batteries. Highly recommend!

Lovely small lake, with lots of water-craft and people having fun. But not so noisy that you can't relax. I saw lots of large carp spawning right by the shoreline.

Super calm and beautiful area. Took a trip out to just cast off the shore and down below the dam. Was joined by my broken friend. We caught nothing but we had a great time.

It's a great place for a picnic. The picnic area (s) is large and spacious. Plenty of Picnic tables scattered across to provide social distancing. Several trees provide shade and coolness. Awesome place for a BBQ/grilling. Only about an hour away from Brampton it's a great place for a weekend escape. Tapped water is available which is a plus. Washrooms are pit latrines hence I won't make a stink about them, hence the 3 🌟🌟🌟. My advice, be armed with a fabreeze air freshener if you plan to visit. Garbage bins are available which are emptied by staff. There's an entry fee per person.

A good and quiet conservation close to GTA... The best part about this park is it wasn't too crowded and one can enjoy some beautiful views with the chirping sounds of birds... Would be a perfect spot for those who enjoy fishing!! Plenty of picnic tables and access to a small beach so perfect for a family picnic!

Took my son there first time ever being there. Enjoy the day. Barely windy on the lake to go fishing. But very peaceful. Would go again.
