The term hidden gem does not do this place enough justice. Set on the water this absolutely gorgeous home becomes open to you to enjoy a stay in Prince Edward County. Close to many amenities and better yet close enough to have wine tours pick you up from your place of accommodation. Very close to north beach provincial park. The rooms are exquisite and the food Devine. The entire aesthetic is shadowed only by the second to none host. Susan is one of the most caring and helpful ladies I have ever had the pleasure of coming across. If you need a break and want to go try something unique in a beautiful place... Look no further. Highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

My fiancée and I stayed at Empty Nest for a couple nights to enjoy what PEC had to offer. Susan is such a wonderful host. She was so kind and always ensured we were having a relaxing time. The place was comfortable and clean, it’s very easy to have good sleep here. The food Susan made tasted amazing (she made the best quiche I’ve ever had, and equally yummy eggs Benny, lemon cake, and almond torte). The property in itself was the definition of quiet and tranquil (lots of trees, close to the water, plenty of places to sit and relax) Can’t recommend this B&B enough. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you so much, Susan! :)

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon getaway to Prince Edward County and had an amazing experience. Susan made it special for our honeymoon by having dessert, local Rose and fresh flowers in the room for when we arrived. She gave us local restaurant recommendations that were fantastic. The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning and the property was great. It was clean, welcoming and so much attention to the little details. The best part of our stay was definitely the breakfast Susan made for us on both mornings. I have never had such a delicious and filling breakfast before!! Overall it was an amazing stay and we will be back!

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay! Susan catered to our every need. From the scrumptious daily farm to table breakfasts and endless cappuccinos, our beautiful bay room and relaxing claw foot baths, spectacular private views of the bay…just outstanding! Susan cares so much and it shows in everything she does for her guests! We were tired and wanted to put our feet up when we arrived and we were met with freshly baked slices of almond torte and a creamy pot of earl grey tea! Thank you for such a lovely stay Susan! We will definitely be back in the fall for another staycation getaway! With love and gratitude! Jamiena and Mark

From the moment we arrived, Susan greeted us with a smile at her front door. Her place is warm and cozy with a stunning lake view! Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean and inviting. Breakfast was top notch. She makes a point of sourcing her ingredients locally. Fresh fruit, the most delicious eggs benedict and waffles! Look forward to staying there again!

Thank you for such a warm and welcoming stay! Genuine hospitality and comfort. Susan is the sweetest host. You can see and feel how much time and care has been put into this lovely bed and breakfast. The space is bright, clean, and beautifully decorated. The lake view is divine — perfect for a break in nature, sunsets, and stargazing. Delicious breakfast and cappuccinos make you feel right at home. Had the best time exploring PEC from this cozy spot.

Little bit on heaven on earth! We enjoyed every minute of our restful, peaceful stay at the Empty Nest, from the welcoming card, rose wine in the fridge, gorgeous flowers and decor, cappuccino, tea, the delicious torte. Breakfast was an absolute delight with fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, granola, eggs benedict the first day and a delicious quiche the second day. Susan is a delightful, friendly, host who goes out of her way to ensure you're having a great time. The sunsets are something to behold, we changed our dinner reservation to an earlier time so we'd be back to see the sunset on our second evening there. It's magical and magnificent, sitting in front of the big windows in The Bay View Suite watching the sun going down. We will go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this perfect spot of paradise right on the water.

An absolutely wonderful stay! The house is beautifully designed paired with fantastic views and we loved the amazing breakfast and almond torte made by Susan. So much that I have asked her to email me the recipes. :D Overall a great experience and we will surely be back here! We stayed 4 nights at this lovely B&B. The property was gorgeous with a dock on the lake, and the room (suite) was spotless, comfortable, and was even decorated with fresh cut flowers. The breakfast was delicious and Susan will go above and beyond to make her guests feel at home. Thank you Susan and Kate for sharing your beautiful house with us.

We were greeted with local treats and homemade torte that was fantastic!! The breakfasts were amazing and Susan was a delight to talk to!! So lovely and friendly. The view was beautiful (even in Feb) and there were plenty of beautiful birds flying by for us to enjoy. I highly recommend staying here!

Highly recommend. We stayed here for a night to celebrate our Anniversary and what a pleasant surprise from the host Susan! Upon arrival there was a beautiful card waiting for us, complimentary wine for 2 and fresh homemade lemon cake. We stayed in the nest room and it was wonderful. Susan made us feel comfortable and free to wander the property and enjoy the view of the Bay from the dock. We were served a wonderful fresh breakfast as well. Will definitely be back.

Me and my husband came on our baby moon and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Susan the owner was extremely nice and hospitable. She offered amazing home made hot breakfast everyday. This is a lovely home with a warm, gracious host, who did everything in her power to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in the very spacious Bay View Room, with a gorgeous view of the lake, large comfortable bed, and simply outstanding furnishings and fittings. Susan, our host, prepared delicious breakfasts, and provided every comfort, making us feel right at home, and offering excellent suggestions to help us enjoy our trip. All-in-all, a wonderful vacation in a beautiful home with an exceptional lakefront setting. First class - and then some!
