This is my first try of Dindigul Thalappakatti biriyani...really very tasty...like it so much...neat and clean...good approach....big dining space...They sticks old pics of thalapakatti families.. it looks we get in to that back memories...

Quite Good place for family dining and the staffs were so friendly and responsible! Must try dishes : kuchi mutton , mutton nalli gravy and Fish finger. Fish finger was the show stopper so tender and fresh! Must try! Also other items were good as well! Only concern is parking space since Car parking is not much available!

I like to say first the hotel was in first floor Initially we went to ground floor hotel and was about to order the food then only realised that this not Dindigul thalappakatti Speaking about food the taste was so good And the biryani was yummy but little bit costly that usual in this hotel Speaking about quantity not so worth for price

Mutton biryani was lousy. Rice was dry and so the mutton. It was big and not at all juicy. Its over hyped. Avoid at all cost

Thalappakaati is one of my fav but not this branch, ordered bbq which was awesome and top notch... soup was ok.. parotta was 60+rs but the parotta they gave was very very worst... it was very hard to have can't even eat that... I mostly visit thalappakaati for their biriyani .. it good in medavakkam and omr but here biriyani is full of ghee... Nothing else we could taste... Over all only bbq was good..

First and foremost very delay in delivery and no pieces in briyani which we ordered. Then they gave a new one as replacement. Starter taste is not good as other franchise in Chennai. Management need to check this. No parking facility available. Overall ok. Better to go other branches.

Food was good but extremely bad service.Staff’s attitude was very unprofessional. Our table was handled by Bharath and Selvaraj. They were literally hiding from customers after serving the food. One must be lucky to catch them for running orders of refills. When raised this concern to the hotel manager during billing, his response was ‘how do you want to pay, card or cash?’ 😁. New lows of customer service here. Would never visit again.

The ambience could have been better but the place looked clean. The place was situated at the first floor. The service was good. We went as a team of 11 members and ordered both veg and non veg. All the items tasted good. The black pepper chicken was everyone’s favourite. I never liked mutton but the mutton chops tasted so good. The biriyani was good as usual. We ordered alfaham which was ok. It was uncooked in some parts. But other than that everything else was good. We then finished it with gulab jamun of each. The gulab jamun with icecream was so good. We expected an bowl with icecream and gulab jamun but the presentation was good.

Worst experience by staff. Being a traditional dindigul restaurant.. expect to have someone who can speak tamil by all means.. very poor service.. they are rude and not polite.. don't even offer to serve the food. Too expensive.. this was my first visit to the restaurant and felt bad in a way the name and fame that they have earned is lost by such poor waiters...

Located in a busy locality with very limited parking space for cars! This is in the first floor of the building. Food is good, and so is the service! Ambience is like a typical upscale restaurant. Only con is the lack of proper parking spots, which can lead to scratches / dents in your car.

After covid wave 2 review : We went on Sunday. It has very very less crowd. Only3-4 table along with us. We can safely go and have lunch/dinner. Felt quantity is reduced. Takes long time to even with less crowd. Taste is same as always. Very delicious and good aroma.

We used to dine in here once a month, but this time we chose take away. Previously, food was provided hot and taste was good, but today we had such a horrible experience that the biriyani wasn't hot and the barbecue chicken was so dry that it tasted like it had been cooked the day before, and the price had also gone up. The biriyani taste certainly got better compared to previous years, and bit of ghee taste is welcoming kids also to taste biriyani. I always enjoy the number of masalas in this biriyani. Tawa prawn chukka roasted and fried was very good with biriyani. This restaurant is spacious and was not crowded on a Saturday. I eat only vegetarian food there at thalapakatti. The restaurant has improved a lot from the year of 2011 for vegetarians there are choices available and food is also cooked separately. Whenever there was a treat among friends I will avoid as we could find pieces of non veg in veg food. The service was horrible. Now the story is completely different good choices and have a meal l. Their summer drink good and nominal rate, they should continue the pricing so that we can get it all time.

Me with my family visited this restaurant during this covid-19 lockdown period, as at the entrance they had kept sanitizer dispenser and watch man taking temperature readings and making a note of name and phone number. The government had asked not to use AC so only 3 table fans they have been using, only very few dishes is available mutton biriyani, special chicken biriyani both cost the same and egg biriyani with this they have some beverages, thery Provide disposable plates spoons and if parcel is needed they won't take the dish plates back to kitchen, to avoid that we got box to back our food by ourselves.

Ordered a mutton biriyani got a chicken biriyani... The bill said mutton but only when I got home I saw it was chicken... How convenient to fool customers like this during a crisis??!! Will I get a refund?
