A wonderful last night in Venice. A party of 3, in different age groups, we arrived early to eat before the show and had a great night overall. Food was simple but lovely fare. The service was friendly and attentive all night. The music was first class and very entertaining throughout with a great young guest musician joining the group from the audience tonight. The perfect turist trap! Unpleasant end of a great day. Venice is always hiding some secrets, but this should remain hidden, or closed. I usually prefer not to leave bad reviews, but this time I'd like to spend a few words more: * the full price of the ticket (20 €) has been asked even entering during last 30 minutes * most of the tables are corner tables or behind columns * the resident band is very average, with no soul; the owner is playing the piano and trying to make the audience laugh, with very scarce results. * 25 minutes after the "concert" ended we have been literally kicked out, for the place was closing. Before midnight! I hope someone could find this info useful and save time and money going somewhere else.

What a great option for night life in Venice! The 20 euro cover charge per person includes a free first drink (so order a mixed drink which is the priciest option at 10 euros). The jazz band comes on at 9pm and plays until just before they close at 11pm. They are musically entertaining and good at bantering. The gnocchi was not the best weve had in Italy, but still pretty darn good. The cheese plate is amazing! (Mostly mild cheeses). I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some nightly entertainment.

The owner which is the pianist, who is also the host, treats everyone like he's there for you and you only. I call him the Italian Harry Connick Jr. Always visit this jazz club when in Venice. We sent email, follow up email, called several times to book, no one replied. Walked past so found it was open but no one bothered to reply. No idea how the place or music are but seems we weren’t welcome.

20€ entry fee and came with the first drink free. Small cozy venue with a great atmosphere. We had a private table with great waitstaff and very close to the stage. They have a small menu but the food was tasty. They closed the doors once the show started which helped with the outside noise and traffic. If you enjoy jazz or music in general, I would highly recommend a visit. The band was fantastic and had a myriad of songs from all over. 10/10! Next time we are in Venice, we will be stopping by.

The band played with great inspiration and it`s a rare joy to see people, enjoying what they are doing. You know, I`ve never thought about Venice as a jazz city, before now. I love this city and try to go there as often as I can, and now I have one more reason why. And you don`t have to be good in jazz to love it! Went here one night in October and it was honestly the best decision of my entire trip. I went on a latin jazz night and the music and vibes were amazing. The staff was so welcoming and warm, and the host (who also plays in the band) is so funny. Felt as if you were a part of a family. You won't regret it, literally can't go on about this place enough!

So glad we chose to spend our last evening in Venice here! The VJC Ensemble was an authentic and ardent delight, the setting was intimate and the whole place had great energy. We came early for dinner, which was simple but tasty. This will definitely be a stop on our next visit to La Serenissima!

Great night and wonderful host - appreciated the host following up on our "more cowbell" joke heckle and he actually pulled out a cowbell and started playing! Lovely cosy atmosphere. The food is fine - it is not a restaurant - if it is not good enough for you there are plenty of pizza takeaways on the way home. A night to remember - we still talk about this club one year after our visit! Hope we get a chance to come again one day.

We had such a great night at the Venice Jazz Bar. The band was AMAZING! The bar itself also had a great atmosphere and cool decor, and really friendly and attentive staff. Truely one of the best things we have done during our travels in Europe. Highly recommend!

My wife and I found VJC from other bloggers and made a reservation for the Latin Jazz night. The service and vibe of this place was perfect. The music didn’t disappoint at all, the quartet was exceptional! I would recommend checking this place out when in Venice. Make sure you make a reservation as it’s very small and they can only accommodate like 15 tables. They do have food and you can do a 60 Euro deal for two concert tickets, food, and a bottle of wine. It was a very reasonable deal and worth every penny. Please note that they are not a restaurant so the food isn’t anything special, but they note that on their website.

Great cosy place, we really enjoyed the show. Come early for a drink and chat with the owners. We reserved a few days ahead and came early so we could settle in. There is a daily dish which can be ordered before the show starts - it’s nothing special (we had lasagna) but it was very tasty and we enjoyed it :-) Great thing to do instead of the regular restaurant/bar evenings in Venice.

We pre-booked our tickets on the day (definitely worth doing), turned up and were shown to our seats. Very intimate and friendly little jazz club. The musicians are very talented and put on a good show. I went on a night where they just played what they wanted, rather than a scheduled set.. which happened to be fantastic. A lot of Duke Ellington. Dinner was pretty good as well- not exactly what you'd get out of a real resturant, but good, and it came with a bottle of wine which was nice. Side note- there's a bike lodged in the ceiling that we were debating on if someone actually used or not. Pretty obviously not.. but it was entertaining thinking about someone wedging it up there every shift.
