This
museum
has
an
absolutely
amazing
collection
of
20th
century
modern
art
and
sculpture
in
a
beautiful
Venetian
setting
along
Venice's
Grand
Canal.
There
are
both
permanent
and
temporary
exhibitions
on
display
including
works
by
Calder,
Dali,
Ernst,
Klee,
Magritte,
Mondrian,
Giacometti,
Picasso,
Pollock,
Rothko
and
Tobey.
The
audio
guide
is
worth
the
€7
extra.
As
well
as
the
main
villa
itself
and
the
added
buildings,
the
gardens
are
also
beautiful
and
well
maintained.
It
was
lovely
walking
around
the
sculpture
garden.
The
terrace
is
a
lovely
spot
to
sit
and
ponder
and
the
museum
cafe,
which
makes
a
great
coffee,
and
gift
shop
with
free
WiFi
are
also
lovely.
Entry
tickets
are
a
little
expensive
however,
definitely
worth
a
visit
when
you're
in
Venice.
Given
the
multitude
of
Renaissance
art
throughout
Italy,
the
Guggenheim
Museum
gives
one
a
very
pleasant
change
and
experience.
A
unique
gallery,
highly
recommended.
Tip:
It's
a
small
place
and
gets
really
busy
during
peak
tourist
season
so
to
beat
much
of
the
crowd,
get
there
in
the
morning.
This
being
Venice,
there
are
a
number
of
ways
to
get
to
the
Guggenheim
Museum.
For
example,
you
could
walk,
take
a
gondola
right
to
the
museum,
or
take
a
Public
Ferry
on
Water
Bus
Vaporetto
Line
1
to
say
the
Salute
ACTV
stop
and
then
walk
to
the
museum.
