After roughly 40 nights that I spent in this hotel I can say with absolute certainty that a 5 stars grading is well deserved. The hotel is only 10min walking distance from the center of Mestre. The rooms are clean, always in perfect conditions and most of all they are quite, you never hear noise coming from other rooms and the windows are sound proof regardless the freeway that it is not far away. Breakfast is delicious with a wide selection of food (English, continental etc). Last, but not least a special thanks to Mr Michele and his team at the front desk, always willing to help me with all my requests. Keep it this way guys, you are doing a great job!

Got am executive room. While a little bit dated, it was still spacious, clean and very dark! I had the best sleep here! The swimming pool is a bit small for the size of the hotel, but it is great to have and thoroughly enjoyed in the hot weather. Customer service was fantastic! Very helpful staff!

Conveniently located, this four star hotel has everything you need for a family vacation. Venice is half an hour away by bus. The hotel offers quiet and relaxation in a safe location next to restaurants with Italian and international cuisine and a supermarket (Lidl) is only 200 meters away. The hotel breakfast offers a good variety of quality food and the service is also to a good level. For a visit to Venice, I highly recommend it.

We've stayed at Novotel Hotel for our Church's congregation last September 9 & 10, 2022. We booked 6 rooms and a meeting hall. The rooms are clean and spacious. Our Youth enjoyed the pool. The Hotel staff are all great. Especially Michelle and Letizia at the reception, they are so accomodating. And also, all the restaurant staff, they served us well and the food is delicious. But most of all, the overwhelming help, assistance and patience of Sig.ra Monica Forestiere, the hotel's Meeting and Event Manager. She gave us everything we needed and because of Her our event is succesful and all our church members are happy and satisfied. Definitely we will come back, and we will choose Novotel as always our number one option. 10/10

The hotel itself was great: bus stop and Lidl only 5 minutes walk, but during the night, the closest bus would drop you off about 15 min away from the hotel (a different stop). From Mestre to Venice, it's a 20 min max by bus. So the hotel location is good . Also, the pool was great but food was overpriced. Another thing we noticed was some staff members need more training in order to at least learn to smile (this is tourism after all to which hospitality standards apply). The exception was Julia (managing the pool) and Daniele (from reception): they were enthusiastic, supportive, very friendly and made us feel welcome. They truly are models of the Novotel label and represent Venice spirit. Finally, there is possibility to purchase public transport tickets at the reception (covering buses and vaporetto boats). To sum up, I'd highly recommend this hotel if customers want to have an outdoor pool experience, although it's outside Venice (but not too far), as there doesn't seem to be other hotels with pool in Venice itself and the Novotel chain has a very good reputation.

Super place to stay when you are about to sightsee Venice . Staff is very helpful and Cheerful as well as being friendly. Hotel is worth the price . It is very easy to get to Venice from there. Got a pin from you 😁

Extremely helpful staff, nice and tidy rooms and great breakfast - which would be better if there was no Covid-19, but here we are. The pool is designed for children so keep that in mind when booking. Only downside is the dangerous path into the city you are forced to take if you are not travelling by car.

Average hotel, bit far from Venice still. Would suggest to cab which is about 30 euro each way. Room is probably a 3 star. Price is cheap though

Its located in Mestre, slightly outside but local transportation is feasible towards main city. Plus point is you can directly buy local transportation passes from the hotel which makes it more convenient. Rooms and food was also good.

Depending on your travel method, this location may be a good spot. If you are taking the public transit system, it can be a slight inconvenience, but not terrible. The hotel itself is great. The staff is pretty helpful. The room was spacious enough, and the bed felt good. The pillows were ok. Not a fan of them only having a duvet for the bed, and no sheets. The AC didn't seem to work in my room? Either that or just wasn't super responsive. Breakfast does have a bit of variety options, but having to wait on the staff to give you silverware is a slight inconvenience. The dinner options were pretty good as well.

It's a Novotel. You have the same bed and couch as in every other generic Novotel. The same rotating desk. The same ancient TV. Pool is literally freezing. I don't know how they do it. It's 35 degrees outside and the water around 18-20 (trust me, I'm Polish, I know cold water). There is a free parking, but very limited in space. There is an additional parking which costs 6 EUR per day. Yet lot of Western Europeans choose to overpark in undesignated spots. Sometimes really expensive cars on German/French/Swiss plates. Really guys. Hotel costs 80 EUR, surely you can do another 6. Breakfast - no self service due to COVID. One lady (sometimes another one comes to help out) serves for the whole hotel. Result? If you want to eat at 8:30 you're going to have a baaaaad experience with a queue up to the lobby. Breakfast is simple - scrambled eggs made from powdered eggs, bacon, couple of types of bread, cotto, cheese, yoghurt. Some fruit salad (from can) and pastries. No fresh vegetables. A nightmare for vegans. Nothing much around, except a Lidl and 2-3 restaurants. Venice is 15 mins away by car. Recommend you eat breakfast at 7, go to Venice at 7:30. It'll be empty at breakfast and pretty quiet in Venice for another hour.

The hotel is not very clean, the bathroom was not in the best condition. For the duration of my visit, the hotel was overwhelmed with tacky kitschy Halloween decorations. But maybe there are cobwebs in the hotel as well ;-) The hotel is extremely noisy, already early in the morning. The staff is correct, but nothing extra. What I can appreciate is plenty of free parking spaces. The biggest problem I had was with the hotel's communication, no one could answer my email, even after a warning. The hotel is suitable for overnight stays when travelling, it is already very inconvenient for a stay longer than one day. Breakfasts are very messy and crowded. If you prefer peace and quiet, go elsewhere

Everything was cool and clean but the room was supposed to be for 4 but the extra bed was not ready as well as the towels were only for two. They sorted it out at the recpeci. Breakfast is fine, pool is fine. It's showing a bit of the ravages of time but still a quality hotel. Don't expect total miracles, but the certainty of what you can expect from Novotel or Ibis hotels is here too, so that's fine.

We had issues with our keys. They will only work for a few hours. Every time we coma back we have to get them replaced. It was just not one key but all our keys. We had stayed in many hotels before getting here and was the only place with the key issue. The front staff was kind enough to get them changed or rewritten. But every time we came back we spent 30 mins going back and forth and staying in queue trying to sort out the keys. Pool times were not very convenient. Closed at 7pm and opened only after mid day.

Really pleased we booked to stay here during our 3 day visit to Venice. The hotel is clean and modern and offers everything we were looking for. Breakfast is a great option if you have children, as it is €15 each for adults but children under 16 eat for free. The outside pool is only small but the kids enjoyed using it on a couple of occasions. Towels are provided at pool side. Only a 15 minute walk to the No. 2 bus which takes another 15 minutes to reach Venice

Stayed 2 nights and had 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts in the hotel. Room is spacious and it is one of the few hotels that provide toiletries (kept in one of the drawers and not in the bathroom). Hotel has free WiFi but need to renew every 24hrs. The salmon we had for dinner was fantastic but the same cannot be said for breakfast. Breakfast was very crowded with group tourists and long queue at the coffee machine. Food choice was the usual same old same old as all other hotels but more limited in choice. Hotel location is near a supermarket, some eateries and a Mister Pizza 5 min walk away. Not a very good location to roam around.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! After calling the night before to find out the process for laundry and following the instructions I went on with ou Tour Group. We left at 0800 and returned around 1815. The laundry wasn't done. The front desk clerk proceeded to tell me why it was my fault. I did everything the correct way (its why I called the front desk the previous night). No real heartfelt apology. Then he went to say my only option was to go to a laundry facility nearby. I waited. I don't know what he was doing but I pulled out my phone and within 2 mins found 10 options. I went on to my room and got ready to leave. When I came back downstair, I wasn't able to use Uber and no dignity to come and help me get a Taxi. I had to walk 30 mins there and 30 mins back whole carrying all our clothes. I closed the laundry facilities arpund 2300. Finnally got to sleep around 0130. Terrible service and no decency. I worked in hospitality when I was younger and always treated people like family. We are far from home and sometimes a heartfelt apology and some honest help is all we need.

This is NOT a 4-star or 3-star hotel by any stretch of the imagine. If you’re in the US, this is worse than a Holiday Inn…think road-side motel with a whisper of AC. Rooms are very outdated, like 1970-1980. Be prepared to step up 2-feet to get into the oddly shaped tub. Only body wash provided, no shampoo or conditioner. Very little sink space. Overall, very tight if traveling with more than two people. Service is horrible. We asked for an extra pillow, and they brought a pillow and then handed me a pillow case that didn’t fit. Also, I called and stopped at the front desk several times about no air flow out of the AC, and eventually someone who didn’t speak English came up to confirm the thermostat was on, and said he would be back, but never came back. The food was terrible. At a group dinner, they served two think slices of pork covered in gravy with flavorless steamed spinach. It looked, and tasted, like something you’d see on the front of a frozen TV dinner box. Buffett breakfast, not worth it, but probably normal for EU standards. For US, there are no waffles, pancakes, or French toast, but they have cold cuts. Recommend shelling out a little more money for a better hotel, especially if you’re use to decent Hilton or Marriott hotels…this will feel like a run down, road-side motel. On the plus side, they do have a small refrigerator in the room that works well. And lots of closet space to hang things.

Very happy with the room, breakfast and service. All attendants were polite and helpful. The pool is nice the beat the heat. Will recommend and return.

For a short stay it was ok. But the place is uneven: good dinner (good service), bad breakfast (continental, chemical, artificial). All facilities felt outdated, including shower and tv and amount of space. And it takes a hike to get to the bus station.

Overall, the hotel was great and the staff was very friendly. To travel to Venice, you just need to take a bus to the Central (3 stops) and take the T1 train. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, easy accessable from highway, good connection to Venice old town. Very friendly staff, nice rooms, cheap secured parking (8€/day). I will return when in Venice again.

We stayed for 3 days.On the first day they provided 2 complementary water bottles. On the second day they didn't provide any water bottle after room service. When called ,the room service staff tells that we should pay 6 Euros for water and if the room service boy should come and provide we should provide additional 3 euros which costed 9 Euros in total .First time ever experiencing like this in my life and would never recommend to anyone. Also on breakfast they didn't have single item which was spicy , it was fully of deserts and pastries only

Nice hotel and pool six miles to Venice food not great and no balconies which is a shame but plenty of parking and good steak house just across the road 😁

Worst experience ever. Be aware parking is not safe. Our car window is broken and our bag is stolen in front of the hotel. On that day they broke one other car as well. Nobody cared. They said it happens sometimes and they have a private parking as well. Nobody warned us about that. If we would know we would park the private parking. But not sure if that would not happen there. The pool is cold. The kids were disaappointed. Long queue at breakfast

Close to Venice, comfy rooms (we choose executive room), private parking 6€, good breakfast with sweet options, some fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon or yoghurt.

The rooms were spacious however the hotel was very full. The shower was not so great as it was hard to get in an out due to a bathtub/shower. Hallway quite dirty but this comes down to the guests… also people slamming room doors. Breakfast was a mess, lines for up to 30 mins; again many guests plus People over ordering food and not eating it… a real shame to see this. I do not believe 14 euro should be charged for a simple continental breakfast + arriving to the collection/ordering area and not having much food left.Another point to highlight is that the bar was closed, a coffee in the morning would have been nice. Staff were quite stressed with all this chaotic atmosphere

Good hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Kids really enjoyed the pool. The only flip side is that it’s little away from the bus stop. But of a walk and taxis not cheap from town. Rest of all good for price

Good location to visit Venice. Nice pool but closes at 7. Comfortable beds. Avoid restaurant, first time waited 30 minutes after ordering, nothing came, called waiter and we were told something was wrong with the printer and the order was just put in the oven, Were told we'd get 1 portion discount, though still ended up on our bill... Waiters don't look at all, raising your hand 5 times gets you nothing. Second time tried hamburger fries, we said medium, was basically raw meat, tempted to just leave even, bacon almost chipped a tooth. Drinks too expensive. Couple of waiters barely spoke English and forget basics. Room outdated, very small tv like 24"? Bathroom very small, basically bathtub with showerhead, difficult if you're tall, dirty air intake never cleaned. Coffeemaker never cleaned, white residue all over. 2nd day no coffee pads in room, asked for them, never came. Overall I'd probably never come back except for the pool.

We are staying at novotel venezia mestre castellana. We went down for dinner and we asked for vegetarian food and specifically said no MEAT and the waiter gave us 2 potions and said lasagna and cannelloni. So we asked for 1 each. When the food came we asked again no MEAT? and waiter said no meat. We started eating only to then find out the lasagna had beef inside. We went to speak to the waiter and he just kept saying beef is not meat and he wouldn't listen to us. He was getting angry at us instead. We asked to speak to the manager and it seemed the manager didn't care either for what we had to say. Through out all of this not even 1 person apologized to us for this. This was just so wrong. The service was horrible. The staff is not friendly and don't try and understand our needs. I need an action on this. We don't eat meant due to religious reasons. This is not acceptable ant cost.

A very good hotel. Hotel staff very kind and helpful. Tasty breakfasts. The swimming pool is a big attraction of the hotel.

  • 1/5 Dan M. 10 months ago on Google
This hotel looked nice from the pictures, but reality was much different. The room itself was ok at best(outdated). The tv didn't work. The USB ports did not work. They offered laundry service but charged by the item at exhorbitant rates. To do two mid sized loads would have cost me over 200 Euros. The shower drain was largely clogged, so it would fill with water and had a weird circular curtain that cut off half of the area of the shower. The breakfast situation was terrible, and they had two coffee machines that half the time didn't work, so the line to get a cup was 15 minutes long. To put it short, they did not care about the customer experience. They have tour bus business but I hope the tour businesses find a better place near Venice that actually cares about the customer experience.

Clean rooms, good pool, VERY slow bar tender but lovely place.

  • 3/5 James G. 1 year ago on Google
The room was good and the hotel breakfast not too bad, although the sausages are very bad. Staff were friendly but had an issue with booking a taxi and almost missed my train, somehow the hotel couldn’t get a taxi available but a fellow hotel guest could? The location isn’t great which probably explains the reasonable price for a 4* hotel, it’s awkward to get from the airport at night and also to the station on public transport. The neighbourhood is very sketchy.

  • 2/5 Glorines R. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is very dated and smelled muggy in the room. They have a bar, but the drinks are not very good. The breakfast was ok, but not great. I think there are much better options available, would not stay here again.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. The staff is amazing and very professional. The room and facilities are very clean. They even have a safe space for kids to play at a private playground. A short 15 minute walk to the center of Mestre. We stayed here after an airline canceled our flight on the day of our departure. This hotel was very accommodating to my family's needs. Huge shoot out to Giuseppe, the bistro host that was very helpful in accommodating us and a child with special needs. I recommend this place and will stay here again in the future.

Check-in was quick. The room overall was nice. Amenities, a small refrigerator and tiny water boiler with instant coffee, sugar and powdered creamer. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked. Bathroom had a counter for toiletries. Getting into/out of the raised tub was tricky. If you cannot raise your leg at least 2 feet then ask for a room with walk-in shower. Water pressure was great and plenty of hot water. Elevators were available for upper floors.

The location isn't great, and we booked at this hotel because of the pool, but it was not open, so that was fairly disappointing. The reception staff were very helpful but the breakfast staff was extremely useless. We were told that we could pay for breakfast at the restaurant but when we arrived there were no one there to pay at first, and when we were approached later by a staff member she did not speak a single word of English, making it impossible to communicate that we needed to pay and did not have a ticket. When she finally found someone else to help us she told us we could pay after we had eaten, but half way through our meal the lady who did not speak English came back and insisted that we pay now. Not the best experience. The room was a bit run down but at least it was comfortable, the a/c was not really working so that was annoying as well. There was some free parking spaces which were nice.
