Astonishing. This is how I can describe this place. It might not be so attractive from the outside as being just a theatre. But inside, it is a great place to visit. It's history makes you think how things grow old and stay truly stylish. You can visit it for 11 euros per person, with no reservations in advance. You get an audio guide which is very comprehensive. Stay in each room and try to get into the atmosphere of the time. Listen to the history. You will go back in time. Really great!

Beautiful and elegant! This theater is located in the center of the Venice, not far away from St Mark's Square by foot. It is open to public viewing during the day and you don't have to purchase tickets ahead. It has a lot of oil paintings for display. The theater was very classic and elegant, with the warm and bright color, very warm and welcoming. There are some Cannel passing by outside, make it feel very charming and romantic!

Entrance fees is €11 and includes an audio guide. The theater is very grand and glitters in gold. It was not crowded and we could rest on one of the theater seat to absorb in the atmosphere. It will be good if the box seat could also be opened up for visitors. However, there wasn't much to do after that. And the audio guide was long and not very engaging. Is it worth a visit? Yes. It is worth €11? No. Maybe the price is uses to control the crowd.

This opera theater is truly amazing. Inside, they have two floors where you can get great views, and the interior is stunning. They play opera music continuously, and you can stay as long as you like. I recommend coming here to take a break from the crowded tourist spots and relax.

Decided at the last minute to go and check this little gem. 100% unforgettable and incredible experience for a little over £10 You can get a digital guide on a "phone" that takes you through the whole history of the theatre. My mouth just kept dropping. It was so beautiful and so interesting to learn all about the main Theatre and the other rooms. Me and my sister had a blast. If you really go through all the steps and little to the whole tour, it will last about 40 min 100% loved it!

Unbelievable experience! A must when you are in Venice! Incredibly beautiful theater, super talented orchestra and singers. It’s also nice to get a glass of bubbly or espresso in one of the intermissions.

One of most memorable visits for us in Florence. We went for the tour here and found the audio tour recordings very interesting and elaborating to entire history. The theatre with its accompanying rooms are gorgeous. The colors, quiet atmosphere of the place with no crowds made it my favorite to be honest given less people were around to crowd the space and enjoy quiet time. The shows were not on unfortunately when we went but tour was great nonetheless. One last point, we loved the gift store here which is well priced and bought some shirts and gifts which will be nice memory of Venice.

Just saw La Traviata, absolutely spectacular experience. A bit of a modern twist to it since I don't think they had TVs in the original but it was still a very nice performance. We had a box and it wad a pleasant experience. For those wondering, yes they have a teleprompter doing active translations for English hahah I was quite worried about that but it worked out great. Obviously no video of the performance but it was a very splendid time and a great way to end a European vacation :)

Absolutely impressive. Audio guide is free, so if you don't have time for an opera you can get a ticket and at least visit it and see it's history. For the opening nights you have a dress code so read closely before buying your ticket.

Stunning place. The cradle of classic music and theater. Built in 1835 survived 2 fires and now it can be visited in all its glory and completely refurbished since 2003. Either you go for a show or you just want to see this place for its architectural value. It is worth it. The engineering and artistic flair is really incredible. Do take a virtual guided tour it is included in the price.

Worth a visit! The interior is incredible. Plan a visit before an evening performance and you might get to see musicians warming up. The exhibits and audio guide are lacking; a third of the information is interesting, but it’s hard to imagine why a visitor ought to care about the rest. That is, it doesn’t really provide convincing context for someone who isn’t intimately familiar with opera. For a typical visitor, I think that 30-45 minutes is enough time to make your way through and take in the sights.

This is one of those experiences in life in which I will never forget. The decor of the opera house is gorgeous! If you have a chance to attend an opera or event here, please get there early so you have time to gaze at the ceiling. The carvings and paintings on the walls and ceiling are just impeccable. We saw Wagner's Flying Dutchman Opera (July 2023) in German, where they had English and Italian subtitles on a screen above the stage. I was brought to tears at just how talented the actors and singers are. I will never ever forget this incredible experience.

When you enter the building, it seems to be very ordinary, but once you enter the main building and the other rooms, the trip is worth it. It is a beautiful building with a lot of fresh colours and lavish Chandeliers, a lot of gold is incorporated in the decor. It's sheek and clasic. One of the mostly highly underrated buildings of Venice.

This stunning theatre is located just a short walk away from St Marks Square but is so much calmer and relaxing. Inside, I was able to walk around certain parts of the theatre including the main hall and one of the balconies. You can just sit peacefully away from the crowds for a while and take in the beauty of the ornate décor.

Amazing place, one of the most beautiful theatre in Europe. The entrance costs 12euro per person with audioguide. History of this theatre is really breathtaking as it was burnt multiple times and rebuild- as phoenix from the ash. In my opinion this is the must see place in Venice, even if you are there for not so long.

Attended La traviata in September. A gorgeous theatre with English dialogue provided above the stage via projection. Very interesting how they brought the sets forward in time while staying true to the opera itself.

We went on a tour of this absolutely stunning and historic theater. I could have spent the whole afternoon there just contemplating the beauty. Next time I'll make sure to see a show there.

Well worth the time and money to do the tour if you are not able to attend a performance. Beautiful decor. Audio guide easy to use.

The whole place was stunning and I’m so glad we decided to go in. It’s full of history and all the architecture is beautiful. It doesn’t take you long to look around the whole place so you only really need a couple of hours to slot it in to your trip. There’s a small gift shop as well which had some nice bits.

The theater is fantastic. I truly love this place. It's not only beautiful but it's history is very interesting. I highly recommend visiting with audio guide. It's usually not crowded in the morning.

This is an amazing scene to see! The true definition of a Phoenix having been born again from its ashes several times over. The audio guide is very well done and flows smoothly throughout the all levels. €6 euro entry for adults, and €3 for children (free for under 6). An easy to/from San Marco Square and this should be a must see for your trip to Venice!

I do not have words to describe the beauty and detail in this building. The acoustics of the main hall are amazing and the other halls are neatly organised too. The interior itself screams grandiose at every corner.

Beautiful theatre with a super interesting history. I recommend doing the self guided tour and getting the audio guide to fully appreciate the interior of the building and it’s history. Audio guide tour takes about 45 minutes and there are some discounted tickets available.

We visited because it was included in our Citypass ticket and were so glad that we came. The theatre was beautiful and we had the pleasure of watching a rehearsal in progress, which was such a treat! Would definitely recommend.

We watched a quartet here that was wonderful. Wonderfully air conditioned fairly comfortable seats and a beautiful facility. Amazing sound and acoustics

Really pretty. The audio guide was ok but went too long during some parts and not much detail for others. The theater is smaller than I imagined. The history is interesting though.

We went to this fantastic opera house for a performance of the Barber of Seville. I was initially put off by not knowing what to wear etc but smart casual was fine. A bit pricey but for an occasional treat (birthday present to myself) it was perfect. And Opera was much more fun than I could have hoped! Great selection of bars around the teatro for pre and post performance drinks and food.

Breathtaking interior and interesting history. Absolutely worth a visit and do no hesitate to get the audioguide! (Remember to bring some soft of ID to give as a deposit when renting the audioguide) Estimate 1 - 2 hrs.

Yesterday, my family saw the opera “Ricardo” here. It was absolutely lovely! They took many measures to protect against Covid 19. I felt I could enjoy the opera safely.
