Johnny
Hamd
here,
coming
to
you
all
from
Texas
with
another
g-report!
Today
I
am
reviewing
the
NH
Venezia
Laguna
Palace,
at
which
my
partner
and
I
recently
stayed.
It
was
a
very
odd
experience,
to
say
the
least.
The
hotel
exterior
is
a
very
impressive
building,
large
and
hulking
like
a
death
star,
but
the
interior
underwhelms
in
equal
measures
and
looks
like
it
was
designed
by
a
stormtrooper!
If
you
like
lots
of
cold
stone
finishes,
zero
artwork
on
the
walls,
and
cleaning
carts
left
in
hallways
for
days
on
end,
this
might
be
the
hotel
for
you.
Also,
if
you
stay
here,
don't
make
the
mistake
of
bringing
any
clothes
to
iron,
lest
you
be
directed
to
visit
the
'ironing
room',
which
is
the
stuff
of
night
terrors.
It
is
also
the
one
room
that
hundreds
of
hotel
guests
have
to
use
to
share
the
use
of
a
single
iron.
You
know,
efficiency.
Our
room
was
spacious,
which
was
nice.
But
it
smelled
heavily
of
smoke
for
the
duration
of
our
stay.
(We
would
have
changed
rooms,
but
learned
from
other
guests
that
the
whole
hotel
had
just
been
sprayed
for
bedbugs,
and
that
this
might
be
the
source
of
the
problem.
So,
we
decided
more
chemicals
in
the
air
was
better
than
less!)
it
was
also
drab--very
likely
the
ugliest
hotel
room
I've
ever
been
in--and
I've
stayed
in
towns
as
small
as
Kalamazoo!
There
was
a
full
kitchenette
which,
bizarrely,
was
completely
empty.
Not
even
a
coffeemaker
to
be
found.
Good
counter
space
to
leave
stuff
on,
though.
So,
overall,
just
an
'okay'.
Not
a
complete
tire
fire,
but
not
worth
a
revisit.
