We walked by while looking something to eat. The employee outside told us that their pasta and pizza is handmade. We ordered the day’s menu but guess what. The pasta was not fresh and the portions were very small. As for the meat (chicken and pork) nothing to be congratulated for. On the contrary, they didn’t have much of a flavour and were stiff. The potatoes (fried and roasted) must be from the worst we have ever tasted. The pizza was just ok, nothing to be proud of, we had much better in Venice during our stay. The second star is only for the location and atmosphere. Definitely not recommend it.

First time in Venice and I’m happy this was our first meal!! Reservations are probably preferable, but we were able to get in pretty quickly for a busy evening. The spaghetti with prawns was my favorite! The tagliatelle with lobster was cooked to perfection and you can really taste the herb flavors. We also wanted to try tuna on pizza and it was an interesting combo, something we don’t see often in the U.S. Lastly, we had the grilled chicken breast which was a bit dry and salty. The atmosphere is very open and inviting! They also offer you complimentary drinks while you’re waiting for a table ;)

One of our favorite restaurants we went to in during our stay in Venice. We came here twice this weekend because we felt so comfortable here and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the Parmesan pasta (Spaghetti with just tomatoes & basil). They prepare it right next to your table and that made it an even better experience! My boyfriend had a pizza which was also really good. The service is fast, friendly and the staff speaks multiple languages. They also hand out free Prosecco before your meal and a little sorbet as free desert. Our waiter was so nice that he even prepared fresh tiramisu at the table for us - certainly one of the highlights of our evening and the whole trip :)

We had a lovely Lunch at Ristorante La Piazza. The service was extremely good and our waiter even spoke greek! Imagine, that means he at least spoke 3 languages! Food arrived quickly and everything tasted good! Thank you for a great service!

We had the oysters as an appetizer and the lobster tagliatelle and lasagna as entrees. The lasagna was one of the best I've ever had. Our server Ardi was very polite and extremely helpful with his recommendations, a true professional. We finished with the creme brulee and it was delicious. We had to leave in a hurry and the staff was nice enough to accommodate us with a quick serving of dessert and check. Expect to pay a bit more but it will be totally worth it given the food quality and overall experience. An absolute recommend if you are in the San Marcos area or even worth the detour if you are in Venice altogether 👌

seafood was fresh and everything was really good! we ordered the fried calamari, scallop pasta and squid ink pasta!! we did not have any reservation and came at around 3pm. service was also top notch!😍😍 will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends coming to Venice!

It’s our first time in Venice with my husband. We were really looking forward to eat some good Italian food. Ristorante La Piazza did not disappoint! Every food served was exquisite! Staff were really helpful and kind. Definitely would recommend to friends and family visiting Venice.

Good food. Very consistent since my last visit in 2022. The pizza menu is pretty thin in terms of variety. In fact, the whole menu could use more variety and dishes to choose from. Nevertheless, what they do have is pretty good. Clean washrooms and attentive service.

Went for dinner today with my partner. Looking at the reviews and how high it was rated we thought we would try it out. We sat down and ordered our food starting off with a salami pizza and my partner asked for fried calamari but they were out of it so she settled for the grilled calamari instead. We then proceeded to order our main meals which I asked for lasagna and my partner wanted a type of pasta which they were out of as well so she settled for lasagna as well. The food finally came out and we thought it was decent but nothing to go crazy about. Definitely not top tier lasagna if I have to say. Besides the food, the service was great and the atmosphere was pretty relaxing and calm. The pizza at the corner shops were honestly better.

Friendly service and very tasty seafood menu. I enjoyed the black ink squid pasta very much. It was reasonable priced 15-30 euros for a dish. I had a nice table seat looking out onto the street. Currently, there is some scaffolding outside of the venue so it did detract the view besides that it was overall, a good experience. I didn't have to book. I just walked in.

The service, the food, and the location of this restaurant are all superb! This was some of the best pasta we have tried in Venice. We ordered the lasagna with bolognese meat sauce and the ravioli with speck and powdered nuts. The delicious pasta was complimented by champagne and topped off with a frozen treat and lemoncello. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing place! The atmosphere is great, the staff are more than kind, they gave us an appetizer, wine and a bread bowl all complimentary! The food itself was amazing and they had cheap and amazing wine! Great place if you’ve got a bit of money! Terrace and indoors. Only complaint was the tables were a bit small unless you got a table with more seats!

Excellent service. They included a lot extras such as a welcome drink and bread. Food was good but not excellent. I would say the rating is more so for the service and not for the food. A good experience nonetheless and deserves to be mentioned

It seems to me that the Gods are working in the kitchen of this restaurant. It's incredibly delicious. Surely, no matter what you order, absolutely everything will be amazing. We went only this restaurant during our four days in Venice. Thank you guys for your professionalism, both in preparing food and drinks, and in service. Mario was our waiter. He is was so professional and his recommendations were great it. The Tomahawk steak, seafood pasta and Cabernet wine was delicious. Amazing experience, definitely recommend. Ask for Mario when you come in, he for sure set the tone! Please try the seafood pasta!

Really enjoyed our food. Small cheese selection was nice. Had couple Venizian styled foods. Liver was tender and soft, same with the cuttlefish. Wait staff were all very professional and attentive. Not a very large selection of wine however there is more than enough to choose a great wine. Not a quiet atmosphere for a romantic diner. We really enjoyed it.

Amazing experience. Seafood was fresh & delicious. Tried raw shrimps for the first time in my life. Also Mixed Grilled Fish plate was amazing. Pizza was great. Excellent price value. Exceptional service. Very friendly & professional. Best food I had in Venice so far and probably even in Italy. Definitely coming back again and recommending it to all my friends.

My friend recommended me this place. It’s good overall. Great service and atmosphere! In terms of food, the squid ink spaghetti is the best of 3 dishes we ordered. Highly recommend this one - savory and tender squids. But pizza and spaghetti with prawns and zucchini and pizza are not as that good as the squid one, but also okay. If you tried pizza in Naples, don’t order pizza here. There’s definitely better pizzas than this one. But overall great experience and love the squid ink spaghetti.

Loved this place so much! Great service and top notch food. We had the Caesar salad, fried calamari and fish fillet. And creme brulee to top it off. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Great place to eat and drink. We tasted the cod with polenta and the typical dish from Venice, risotto with cuttle fish ink. Both plates were great, tasteful, and had a beautiful presentation. Service was great, we felt like home, and they did not miss out on anything. Finally, the dolce, were homemade and it tasted great. One of the best places to eat and drink in Venice.

Excellent food, excellent service. Had a great romantic dinner and the waiters were nice. I had the seafood tagliatelle with scallops and was delicious!!!! We were treated with a glass of champagne at entry and sort of small lemon sorbet for dessert. Will go again on our next trip! We sat right on the first chairs inside not in the terrace as it was a little bit chilly. Waiters were very nice.

Very beautifully decorated. Warm ambiance. Delicious food. Sort of expensive. We were told that we get free champagne as welcome drinks, but in the end we were charged with +9€ for “service” which I had never encountered before

Best Calamari ! Serious. And our family has eaten many many servings before in many places but the calamari here was so well made we had to mention it as the stand out. Soft and easy to chew, and the accompanying sauce, we had to ask for seconds. Our first meal here in Venice and what a great experience! Attentive staff and $8 moscato wine was available to go down with the meal. Enjoy!

This restaurant in Venice had exceeded my expectations that me and my friends ended up going back the next day. The staffs are very friendly, attentive and respectful. And most of all, foods are AMAZING from appetizers, main dish and desserts. I would give it a 10/5! This is definitely a MUST when you visit Venice. PS: thank you Paolo (Master Chef/Manager) and Francesco (server) and everyone else are very nice and friendly! Me and my friends are very very happy with the experience!

This place is amazing! Great service, nice place to sit outside, vibrant feel and cool people eating and walking by. Place for a unforgettable date! Then food is another plus: pasta in many forms, most flashy is the huge cheese bowl that pasta is made in - right next to your table! Really turns heads, not on the menu - but wort it! 5/5, if you visit Venice, cannot miss this place!

I had a wonderful meal here. And I didnt want to give them a full 5 stars, but google won’t let me do 4 1/2. So I get they deserved a rounding up. We were started off with a free glass of Prosecco. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. I started off with some oysters. Good oysters, but could have been a tiny bit better for the price. My friend and I also ordered the spaghetti with prawns and the pork escalope. Both were made just perfect. And then we were given a free sorbet. I also may add I saw some one order the pasta with lobster claw and I was incredibly jealous I didn’t get it for myself. This place is a solid choice for your vacation. Please go and enjoy a great meal here. Oh I added a picture of a great white wine they served us.

Everything was excellent. Starting from the welcoming staff, going to the appetizers and main course, and ending it with some free yogurt lemon thing, forgot the name. Enjoyed my meal. The sitting area was excellent as well. I’ve had Pizza and Pasta for main course, both were surprisingly excellent. Loved the fact that I could decide what goes in the pasta, most restaurants won’t allow it. Yes, prices were on the expensive side, but for the quality and service, defined worth it. Would definitely recommend it to others.

We discovered this outstanding restaurant online, and it truly was a delightful surprise. The delicious food, fresh seafood, tasty beer, and excellent service added a lot to our dining experience. What's even more delightful is that they went the extra mile by gifting us a bottle of red wine, which was a very generous gesture, making the entire lunch even more memorable.

The restaurant didn’t meet our expectations in general. The children were very hungry and we had to find the closest place with pizza (we went there in the evening on February 4th, 2024). The bottom of the pizza was burnt (it was black), which is not very good for kids. The octopus was burnt too. Having eaten 2 pieces of cheese pizza children refused to eat the rest because of the smocked cheese in it (we ordered cheese pizza in other places in Venice and it was completely fine, without smoked cheese). Regarding fish - it was impossible to feel the taste of it because there were too many nuts. The prices of the menu definitely don’t correspond to the food ordered. Regarding service - waiters weren’t friendly as well, arrogant to some extent. Of course it didn’t spoil our second time in Venice. But definitely there won’t be a second time for this restaurant.
