My husband found this hidden gem through the other great reviews. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the sandwiches are very generously sized. The price is great as well. Service was quick and friendly. We walked a few steps around the corner to the bank of one of the canals to sit in the sunshine and enjoy. This is a must try!

We came here on a friend’s recommendation and were glad we did because it’s one of the best sandwiches we’ve tried in Italy. I asked the guy for a vegetarian panino and he suggested the Viola. There’s not much the to ingredients but the quality of the items is what really impresses, especially the bread. The line can be long but it moves quickly and the folks working there are very friendly. It would be nice to see some more vegetarian and seafood options.

We had to stop by here to try these sandwiches after seeing so many 5 star reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype. We came by around noon (this appears to be lunch only from what I can tell), and the person working was super helpful in suggesting what we should try. The menu appears to change based on what is available and he was also offering to adapt anything based on our taste. We ended up trying two sandwiches and both were wonderful! Our total was €16 including a water and a soda. Already planning on returning for lunch tomorrow.

The only really tasty food we could find in Venice! There are 12 shifting sandwiches, all of which cost around €10-12. That seems expensive at first. However, the quality and size of the sandwiches speak for themselves. Without exception, the ingredients are fresh and very tasty. Just watch out for the seagulls, they are waiting outside the store and want to steal your delicious bread.

I ordered the vegetarian sandwich and loved it. It was plenty of food and very flavorful. It contained things like tomato, corn, cheese, greens, and pesto. It cost 10 euros and was pleasant to eat in front of the canal!

L’Bacaro de Bischeri is a beautiful little sandwich shop in the heart of Venice that specializes in fresh cut meats, delicious spreads, and a focaccia bread that’ll make your mother cry a singular tear of joy. Having now been to All’Antico Vinaio (the “king” of Italian sandwich shops), I can definitively say that this place rivals Vinaio in flavor, value, and freshness. In my opinion, it’s a must-try for Italian sandwich lovers The sandwiches looked so good that I ended up ordering three of them: 1. The Gino: fresh sliced chicken, mayo, mixed greens, picante sauce, tomato 2. The Viola: thick olive spread, fresh mozzarella, mixed greens, tomato 3. The Lorenzaccio: fresh sliced ham, mustard, arugula, sun dried tomatoes My personal favorite was the Gino because the mix of picante sauce and Mayo gave it so much flavor. But what I loved most about this place is that it’s just one guy behind the counter in a sick fedora, hand slicing these beautiful hunks of meat fresh for each sandwich. He is so welcoming, and everything was cut and prepared on the spot in front of you for only ~6 euros per sandwich. Honestly my pictures don’t do this place justice at all. You’ll need to try it for yourself

Beautiful, Bustling and busy. This shop has such a happy atmosphere outside of it as people enjoy there amazing food and/or are eagerly waiting for there's to come. Your name is then called to collect your treat. It's warm in your hand and ready to be enjoyed. From then on its bliss. No spoilers from me, you will need to experiance it yourself. I has No.4 Rossi 10/10

A really delicious sandwich and super fast, friendly service! I read previous reviews on Google when searching for vegan options and went there to see for myself. I asked if they could make me something vegano. The man smiled and said, "do you trust me?" 😂 I loved his friendly response and he stuffed the sandwich full of yummy stuff: dried tomatoes, pickled onions, salad, dressing... I did trust him and I didn't regret it! They also had a yummy bottled lemonade that was a pleasant surprise. Not too expensive, either... 19€ for two sandwiches and two drinks, and we ate right in front of the water nearby. A great experience!

It truly lives up to its reputation. Best quick eats in all of Venice, maybe even Italy! They also have 1 euro wine cups so pair with your sandwich. Great value!

My husband and I went to Venice back in May 2023, and we are still thinking about these sandwiches. THEY WERE THE MOST DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL SANDWICHES EVER . I wish they had something like this around us here in the U.S. The guys were great the food was great I would recommend anyone and everyone to try them at least once! Trust me you’ll fall in love ! 10/10 !!!

Unassumingly honest fare. The schiacciata was toasty with good crunch. Ingredients were well-balanced, and complemented each other well. Fresh, of course. Must visit if you're ever in Venice. As the other reviews said, generous portions, and such a gem. We shared the Viola, Verdi, and Venezia between the 2 of us, and could only just finish the 3rd.

Very friendly staff. Quick service! Very tasty. Seagulls outside are very aggressive. They landed on my girl friends head and ripped her sandwich away. So just hold on tight! It’s take out only!

Another recommendation from a local that lived up to the hype. I stopped by around 2pm so there was no line but it’s also December and not busy in general. The employee was great at explaining the sandwiches and recommended the Christmas special that was porchetta and arugula and walnuts with apricot jam on delicious crusty focaccia like bread. It came out to 12/13€. I took it to go so I could eat back in my room after a long day of walking and the pigeons dive bombed me and almost succeeded in taking it away. It was delicious - I see why they are popular!

I liked this place so much, I went twice! I was recently in Venice for Carnevale for 10 days, and was staying near Ponte di Rialto. This place was high on my "to eat at" list since 1) it was nearby and 2) great reviews on the cicchetti. Shortly after arriving in Venice, I took a walk around and through the Rialto Bridge, and stopped in here for my first food and drink in Venice. With my broken Italian I ordered a fantastic vegetarian cicchetto which had an olive tapenade, veggies, and incredible caramelized onions on top. The employee recommended a refreshing beer for me, and this just hit the spot after 18+ hours traveling. I went back a few days later and asked if they could provide a vegetarian tramezzino or panino. The staff were able to accommodate me, and the same kindly employee who had first helped me built my panino to specifications. This thing was HUGE - I could not eat the whole thing, and the bread itself was phenomenal - a little salty with a hint of rosemary. They also have canned Aperol Spritz to go. If you want to make a brief pitstop in the middle of your busy Venetian day, stop here for tasty bites and friendly service (especially if you make an attempt at Italian.)

Hands down, the best sandwich I had in Italy. All the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. They do not shy away from the amount of meat in their sandwiches. Me and my fiancé shared one for lunch and were full until dinner. This was a bit out of our way during our visit to Venice, but it was absolutely worth the detour. Beware of seagulls when eating in the plaza. I saw several people's food snatched while we were eating.

Legitimately the best sandwich I have ever had. I had the wild boar mortadella with honey. Amazing. Only thing is they open at 11 not 10. You will want to get to go otherwise eat on a standing side table outside.

Holy Italian sandwich! This place is amazing. The workers are also super friendly. We tried sandwiches in Rome and Florence and this place was our favorite in all of them. We ordered the #9 which was recommended by the staff. It was by far the best sandwich we've ever had. We are foodies and home chefs and make a mean prosciutto sandwich, this was a million times better. I miss it already. Highly recommend.

Awesome hidden gem close to Rialto bridge. We took an amazing vegetarian sandwich (number 8) just for seven euro. The bread was crunchy and overall it was really tasty. We also chose a nice wine to go along with the sandwich - one cup of Chardonnay for just two euro. The service was good and to sum up it was worth every penny:)

One of the best lunches we had in Venice. We had two sandwiches: one with ham and pesto and one with pork and caramelised onion. The caramelised onion sandwich was out of this world and I’m still dreaming about it. The pesto sandwich was okay. It was a tad too salty, but still pretty good - we couldn’t quite finish it. They’re large sandwiches and very good value for money. I’d recommend taking the sandwiches to the pier and sitting there to enjoy.

Best sandwiches / paninis in Venice. This place is so central and the quality of ingredients were fresh and delicious. The prices were very excellent for Venice. I wanted to go back but didn’t have time !

We stumbled upon this sandwich shop after crossing Rialto bridge today! It was exactly what we were looking for! The freshest, most delicious sandwich, such a good price and the loveliest service and welcome. We are already planning another visit before leaving Venice!

The best sandwich I had in Italy! Great service and the staff gave great recommendations, I got the number 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it! Top notch quality, just thinking about it is making my mouth water. I’ve been to several other sandwich places throughout my trio through Italy and each one is compared to this, so far nothing has matched it!

I came here because I was intrigued by the 5 star average rating. Can absolutely confirm it deserves it. I had a fantastic sandwich with fresh rucola, ham, dried tomatoes and mustard for 6€. Really good prices. Its hidden in an alley, but can easily be found. You should visit this if you want a quick lunch snack instead of a sitdown lunch.

This was our best Italian sandwiches of our trip, we went back the next day. The food is tasty, fresh and generous. The staff is also extremely nice and kind. My wife's sandwich got attacked by seagulls and they offered to replace it for free, this was such a sweet gesture from them (this is not a joke, beware of those animals!). Thank you again to Mateo, Bryan and the rest of the team 👍
