Explore a captivating slice of ancient history that's a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Transport yourself to bygone eras, reminiscent of school days spent studying these wonders in history books. Witnessing the intricate carvings, it's awe-inspiring to think that people from those times, devoid of modern technology, crafted such remarkable pieces. The enigma behind their creation adds to the allure. Make sure not to miss the heritage sites of Mahabalipuram; invest time in savoring these treasures. Conveniently, you can purchase tickets at this location, granting access to all ancient sites in the city—keep your tickets safe for a comprehensive experience.

Excellent place to witness the architecture marvel. The ticket is priced at 40/- per person. Well maintained spot. Hope tourist don't litter and spoil the place. I believe it's better to put some restrictions on entering inside or touching or standing on monuments.

Part of ancient history you should not miss. If you are a history buff and live in the past and adore them then this is definitely the place for you. Seeing them brings back memories of school days when you read about them in the history books and have to learn about them for tests. Really seeing them you cannot think they are so old and people of those eras without modern technology can carve such beautiful stuff. And the mystery behind why they did it. Must visit. All the heritage sites of Mahabalipuram are a must visit. So take your time and enjoy them. You can buy your tickets from this place which will allow you to enter all the ancient sites in the city. So keep your tickets carefully with you.

Five Rathas or Pancha Rathas has monuments of monolithic rock cut architecture. It is been recognised as UNESCO world heritage site. The Rathas looks like chariots . The Rathas are named after Pancha Pandavas and their common wife Dharmaraja Ratha, , Bhima Ratha, Arjuna Ratha, Nakula Sahadeva Ratha, and Draupadi Ratha. These have entry ticket for group of monuments of Mahabalipuram. These Rathas depict the diversity of Dravidian architecture . Must visit place .

It is stunning. And to think it's so old. For me, it left a deeper mark than the numerous more recent temples in the zone. The only problems were 1) that you had to buy a ticket for this, and another 2 sites, even if you didn't want to visit them, and 2) that there were so many people, that in each of my photos, there were other people's kids!

Good facility that to visit this place you need to take ticket rs 40 per person only. Including this there are other 4-5 monuments to see in only 40 rs. Must visit monuments but try to avoid during public holiday or long weekend as you won't be able to see properly because of more crowded as it is famous monument. It will really great if government take an initiative and allow only 10-15 people at time so everyone can get knowledge and enjoy the beauty of this.

At Pancha Rathas in Mahabalipuram, history comes to life in a breathtaking display of rock-cut architecture. The five Rathas, each carved from a single rock, are a visual marvel. The picturesque setting adds to the charm, creating a memorable experience. The affordable entry fee of 40 rupees covers access to other nearby attractions, making it a worthwhile and reasonable visit despite the heat.

This is a 7th century AD architecture of Bharat. The five ratha temples belong to the Pandava brothers- Yudishthir, Bheema, Arjun, Nakul and Sahdeva, and Their wife Draupadi- the Panchaali (five-husbanded). The Panch Rathas complex was built under Narsimhavarman I of the Pallava dynasty some time between the 7th and 8th centuries. The best part is the Online ticketing just at a scan of QR code. Once paid the same tickets downloaded on your phone is good to be flashed at all the other archeological structures now well guarded under the UNESCO and archeological survey of India.

Five Rathas is in Mahabalipuram, hardly 1km from Mahabalipuram beach and shore temple. You can take ticket worth 40/-(Indian nationals) but 600/-(for others, 😞 too high). Remember, with the same ticket you could visit all archeological monuments(shore temple, Arjuna Penchant etc). People may confused and chance of taking seperate tickets as the counters are everywhere infront of each place. There are 8 rathas at Mahabalipuram, out of which 5 are named after the 'Pandavas' (five brothers) of Mahabharata and one after Draupadi(Their's wife). The five rathas that can be seen are Dharmaraja Ratha, Bhima Ratha, Arjuna Ratha, Draupadi Ratha and Nakul Sahadev Ratha. This place(named as mamallapuram ) was ruled by Pallavas in 6th and 9thh century CE and created this at that time. It is an evidence of high quality Indian architecture and craftsmanship at olden days where rest of the world has fighting for land. The rathas were hidden in the sand until excavated by the British 200 years ago.

It's a world heritage site, excavated during the reign of the Pallava Dynasty and gives goosebumps. Five ratha (depicting Pandava history), Ganesh ratha (Monolithic temple) and Draupdi's Bath, shore temple just at the shore of bay of Bengal etc are a must visit place if you love Indian history. Ticket will cost you ₹35/- per adult Indian. Best time to visit is Nov to Jan.

Pancha Rathas (also known as Five Rathas or Pandava Rathas) tells you about the pancha Pandavas (five pandavargal). It's a fame of Mahabharata. You can find all five rathas (chariots) for individual Pandavas. Fact here is they were chiselled on a same rock (hill almost). Our ancient monuments these are. Must visit one. Take water bottles with you. In summer it will be heavily hot. Backyard has some lawn kind of floor where you can take photos and relax with family. They charge 40-45 rs per head which includes entry to all other site as well. British hats, cowboy hats are sold here for rs. 150-200. Sculptures of almost all gods, craft products are available nearby this site. Upi payment is available everywhere. So don't wry about carrying cash for everything.

Mahabalipuram, tamilnadu Nadu, is a must visit place. The maintenance is awesome and clean. Entry Ticket cost is 40 RS per head we went along with friends and we enjoyed it. The garden atmosphere is also good. Vehicle parking is free. Even though we missed to visit the rock beach ⛱️ but we have to plan one more time for that beach and shoping place too. All the best
