Very nice place. Our Top 1 from 3. 2 and 3 are pilskrog and Skogerogs. Nice waitress, English menu, delicious food, fair prices. You can order in lettisch, English and Russian. And they take care about Allergy issues!

Amazing food and cozy atmosphere! Good value for money.

We visited on a Tuesday late afternoon on a day that was rather muddy. Nevertheless, we had to wait around 20 min to get a table. When we sat down though everything was smooth and didn’t have to wait long for anything (menu, ordering, drink, food, usual checkups, coffee etc). Because it was quite difficult to find a decent dining place in Ventspils by information in the internet and tourist booklets I’m going to HELP YOU AND SHARE THE MENU here (couldn’t find it online myself). The service was ATTENTIVE and POLITE. English is ok with them. There seemed to be some kind of bad air between the waiter girls but it didn’t affect us fortunately. The food was very good: TASTY, SERVED WELL and good size portions. I had pork ribs, my wife had beef goulash and we asked two side dishes alone (the rice and oven baked potatoes) for our kid and even those were served nicely and tasted good. This is definitely a place to stop for a lunch or dinner when in Ventspils!

Food was served in the blink of the eye. Dishes were awesome and beautifully plated. I'll be back to "Rātsgalds" on my next visit to Ventspils.

This restaurant is definitely my favorite restaurant in Ventspils- 5 stars ⭐️. The soup, salad, and entrees are all fantastic. The servers are very kind and efficient. The owner was there and I asked him some information about the area and he was very helpful. Love the atmosphere inside and the gorgeous patio outside on a sunny day:)

A lovely place in the town, food was very good for Latvian standards, waitresses were also good. Overall, I would come back here if jn Ventspils. In the Summer one can sit outside, so that is a good bonus.

Second visit in 4 years have the same best emotions. Food extra good, fresh. Atmosphere relaxing and friendly waitress. I promiss to be therw 2023 as well.

Great food, we had fish soup, seafood plate, and seafood pasta. Amazing taste. Plus, a great atmosphere and the waiter spoko fluent English. A very pleasant place, recommended!

Nice atmosphere, delicious food, but not very varied menu

A very cute place in the centre of Ventspils. We ate only a cold soup and had some cocktails. Other food also seemed delicious and many cocktail options. Very good service and overall a nice visit.

Great place with lovely atmosphere, good food and excellent service. We asked for vegetarian food and they managed to make us the best meal out of their non vegetarian recipes. We were blown away from how good the food was even without the main ingredients (meat fish etc). Very kind waitress made the experience even better. And the interior is modern and cosy - otherwise hard to find in such a small town. Outside tables available during summer. Recommend!

Lovely restaurant with good service! Location is very good and beautifully surrounded. Inside it looks cozy too. Good choice of dishes for reasonable prices. Not too cheap but affordable. Food is very delicious and presentation of it is amazing! I will definitely recommend!

We arrived searching for an apartment located next door in the same building. The lady from reception was late and asked to wait for her 5 min. So we popped into this cafe hoping to order some nice brunch while we waited, especially to avoid the heavy rain outside. The waiters themselves were nice, advising they’re not yet open and were cleaning. No problem, we were inside by one of the tables waiting for the weather to pass & for the apartment lady next door to arrive. We were then promptly kicked out by somebody who was resting inside, which was done in very rude and impolite manner. We pointed out that we wanted to enjoy some nice brunch here and the weather was cold with heavy rain that we hoped to just shelter for a short while. He said that we are welcome in 40 minutes, but for now we must wait outside in the cold, raining disaster. Really disappointed. No chance we will ever return there for food.

I wish there would be 10 stars, so i could give eleven. 😂 service once ordered is fast and polite. Everything is very clean. And food - amazing. We took camembert cheese, goulash and schnitzel. Schnitzel they put two big pieces, and i am too skinny to finish both. :D goulash was gorgeous. Only thing that i did not like, was the map in the toilet. They still had SOviet Union map on it. Feel a bit sad that our beautiful Baltic nations are covered in Red. :(
