I
had
a
great
time
on
the
SCUBA
certification
class
in
the
pool,
learned
a
lot,
Sara
is
a
5
star
instructor.
My
partner
was
fitted
with
a
BCD
that
was
too
small
because
all
the
ones
in
his
size
were
out
on
the
raptor
dive
boat.
So
he
was
really
uncomfortable
for
the
pool
session.
But
we
made
the
best
of
it
and
otherwise
no
complaints.
Then
we
went
out
on
the
dive
boat
for
our
first
open
water
dive
with
instructor
Joe.
He
has
hearing
aids
and
cannot
hear
you
and
talks
with
an
accent
or
has
something
off
that
made
it
hard
to
understand
him.
He
didn't
do
the
PADI
hand
signals,
didn't
take
two
people's
complaints
of
pain
on
equalizing
in
their
ears
seriously,
lost
someone
for
awhile(!)
And
we
kept
going
up
and
down
and
didn't
complete
the
skills
we
had
to
do
in
a
limited
time.
One
person
he
completely
slipped
doing
buddy
breathing
exercise.
We
were
a
group
of
five
in
the
first,
in
the
second
we
were
3,
and
still
he
could
not
manage.
We
did
see
cool
stuff
at
Anacapa
Island
but
you'd
see
that
no
matter
who
you
go
with.
Then
in
weight
removal
and
replacement
I
said
I
couldn't
feel
if
it
was
clipped
in
and
the
instructor
Joe
said
"it's
good"
but
it
was
not.
It
slipped
out.
I
didn't
notice
until
I
was
taking
my
gear
off
and
we
were
about
to
leave,
and
I
told
him
I
lost
my
weights.
He
said,
well
we're
about
to
go
and
we
can't
go
retrieve
them.
I
know
ultimately
it's
my
responsibility
for
my
rented
gear.
We
get
back
to
the
shop
and
they
charged
me
$98
for
the
lost
weights
and
pocket.
I
explained
what
happened
and
told
them
exactly
where
they
are
so
they
can
go
get
them
tomorrow
but
no,
they
charged
me
$5
a
pound
and
$35
for
the
pocket.
After
I
spent
literally
over
a
thousand
dollars
on
gear
and
the
cert.
My
partner
and
I
were
going
to
buy
the
rest
of
our
gear
here
but
now
we
will
go
someplace
else.
TLDR:
Sara
is
a
great
instructor,
Joe
is
terrible.
I've
heard
Billy
is
also
great.
I
recommend
getting
your
own
gear
and
not
renting
theirs
cause
they
will
charge
you
top
dollar
to
fix
or
replace
even
if
it's
the
instructors
fault,
and
they
might
not
even
have
your
size
gear
and
make
you
suffer
with
bad
fitting
gear!
If
you
do
rent,
then
be
extra
cautious
with
their
gear.
So
yes,
go
out
on
the
Raptor,
Liam
and
Alex
and
Isaiah
are
wonderful.
Do
the
cert,
just
don't
get
Joe
for
anything.
