This is the best sandwich shop in the vero I have eaten at. They make their bread fresh, they smoke their own meat. I personally had the steak and cheese. All I can is wooow. Keiley, the server, was very helpful and friendly, very welcoming , explaining the menu. The owners were there in cooking. Also very very friendly. Sitting by the front, everyone was also raving on how good their food was and how fast the service was. The bathroom was clean, even it it was rush and the beer was cold and fresh. I highly recommend this place for amazing food.This will be one of my new stops and also adding to my tour food stop. DAGWOODS !!!!! The best sandwich shop on the treasure coast 😋 if you haven't been in there and tried them your missing out. I make it a priority to stop in and get sandwiches whenever I am in town. Josh and Marie are awesome. It's definitely a treat to stop in. Can't wait for the new spot to open and see all the new stuff they are bringing to the table.

Delicious !! Very clean inside .. and a fun vibe. Sandwiches were fresh and hot !! Definitely *not* a run of the mill place. BLT had loads of thick, well-cooked bacon and fresh vegetables. Dagwood was piled with meat snd fresh vegetables. Pricey .. but well worth it.

I use to eat Dogwood sandwichs in Gulfport Ms all the time but hurricane Katrina took the sandwich shop away. I thought I would never have another one again. I got a taste for one while working in FT Lauderdale and searched for Dogwood sandwich and this restaurant comes up. On my way to Ocala I decided to take a detour and it was the decision ever. This was my first time there and I can say the Dogwood sandwiches I ordered were great. The bread is soft and the meat is very delicious. I can honestly say I would drive 2 hours for another sandwich.

Tried to call in order.phone rang and rang and no one answered. Arrived at location and placed order. Waited 40 minutes inside with Loud ear piercing tv and no a/c. Roll was soggy and there was more toppings than meat and a lot of the meat was shredded. The turkey was old - yellowy-brown color. Only received a drizzle of oil & vinegar. Nothing was the same as it was in the old location. So disappointed. Will not be returning.

Every time we tried this place they are out of pastrami, out of Meatballs . Out of bread . Wondering why they don't order enough . We waited from 1:45 to 2:24 for our steak cheese, peppers , onions and mushrooms subs . They toasted which was hard as a rock without asking . There was no peppers no onions . Three little pieces of mushrooms a tiny bit of steak . Plenty cheese but order grill cheese sandwiches. One bite and spit it out all three of them together could make one if that . Only be told they were out of peppers and onions after the fact. The salt was outrageous. It was deemed no good for human consumption. Got our money back and left . As we were leaving a woman was walking back in with her order I said that bad and she said it was horrible. Also the prices online are not updated . Forty four dollars for three subs that didn't have two main ingredients. Never again. Say your time and money .

Everything about Dagwoods is 5 stars!! I wish they were open longer hours and 7 days a week! This place knows what good subs are all about and they don't skimp on ingredients! The owner is super friendly and makes everyone feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door. They also have some great beer on tap! You won't regret going here for a meal!

Definitely a 5 Star Restaurant but went today Saturday April 16th 2022 and no one was there. No sign No note. Just closed. Maybe our of business not sure. Called the phone number and no message. My daughter came from Tampa and was dying for a sub!!!! Not sure what happened!!! Hopefully they will be open next week.

The sandwiches are good, but they move extremely slow. Was told it would be 20-25 minutes for two sandwiches and two salads but actually ended up taking 50 minutes. Definitely not coming back anytime soon or recommending them to anyone. If it’s going to take longer then just say that in the beginning when I’m placing my order.

My boyfriend and I went and ate at Dagwoods like twice already and each time the food been great! The owners are very friendly and the restaurant have such a cool atmosphere to grab some sandwiches or even salads! We are definitely going to be regulars🙂 Thank You!!

Absolutely one of the worst lunch experiences I’ve had. I spent an hour waiting for my food, had to go back to work before I got my food. I was called to get my food as were my coworkers. Was given the wrong order so I went back to return it. I then wait patiently , I saw 5 people who ordered after me receive their food . I needed to go back to lunch so I requested a refund and the lady responds by saying this is how lunch is here , you need to call ahead and order if you come during lunch . Except every one I showed up with got their food and left ten minutes before I had enough of waiting. As they are processing my return the man in the kitchen yells well it’s done if you want to give them their order if they want it either way. Did they to help with the inconvenience? no instead they’ll just throw the sand which away while I wasted an hour and had to go get food .The worst experience, no consideration , I won’t be going back.

Amazing food! I can not believe how amazing this place is! I visited my dad and he said let's go to this sandwich shop. Well he was so right this night be one of the best sandwiches I have had. I got the whole dagwood and had a little left that was still amazing the next day. The bread was so fresh and the pile of meat. I was too hungry to even think of taking a photo but trust me it was awesome!!!

This was our favorite place to eat. Every time my wife and I went to Vero, we went straight to Dagwoods and got their dagwood. It was the best sandwich both of us had ever eaten and we would get it a few times over the course of any week we were there. We went there recently and ordered our dagwood and were very disappointed. It's changed a lot. Bread isn't the same anymore and there was far less in the sandwich itself. At best it was a shadow of its previous self. We get that times are hard and maybe they've changed breads or lessened toppings to save money but it's not the same sandwich and sadly, was our last. I'm happy though to see they were still very busy as they really are great people there and wish them success.

Broken hearted. A wait of 45 minutes for the food and it was done in a way I did not order my mother's sandwich, the bread was ice cold and fell apart when handling. Had to ask for silverware and straws. They redid my order with different kind of bread and no cheese. I was never so disappointed in a restaurant before. Only good thing was the bartender/waitress she was a good good person. One star just for her

This place used to be an overall 5 star establishment. It has been closed for a year as they worked on getting a new location open. The new place feels smaller, more cramped and it’s super hard to get one of their 8 tables. I went in on a Monday at noon and they were out of fries, avocado, bacon, brisket and they only serve their popular subs (pastrami and prime rib) on Saturdays. The waitress mess up our order 2 times, our receipt was inaccurate and had to be corrected, and the waitress had to be asked multiple times to bring drinks and sauces. I hope these are just growing pains. Would recommend you just get their subs to-go and don’t worry about sitting down.

California club wrap with no avocado! May be spices but had a funny taste. Had upset stomach all day. Place was busy selectees we’re running around. It was okay but chaotic. Small tables.

My employer and company ordered from here for the first time (we always order out once a week as a company) and have tried most places locally, but this is one we wont do again. To begin with, there are 10+ people in our office so we have to write down everyone's order and call it in ahead. For most family run businesses, this is a welcomed large order. We called right at opening to give them plenty of time to make the food. There was no mention on their website of certain sandwiches only being offered on the weekend, just that some are "now available daily". We called in our order and the woman who answered immediately gave an attitude. We began ordering and were told the first sandwich was only available on weekends, the second was the same, then we asked for two meatball instead and there wasn't enough for another sandwich, only 1. She then proceeded TO TELL US TO GET OUR ORDER TOGETHER AND CALL BACK! How rude, especially considering it was their fault that they could not fulfill the request. Additionally, some of the orders wanted chips and apparently they were completely out of all chips? When we asked what other side options they have the woman said "uh just potato salad, is that what you want?" We declined. We placed the order finally and left to pick it up. When we all got our meals, they were wrong, undercooked, and subpar. Our Italian salads with extra Italian dressing came with Oil and Vinegar and not even any extra. The meatball sub had undercooked meatballs, as in they were still red/pink in the middle. Some of the sandwiches were so sloppily thrown together, we had to reassemble here. This place came highly recommended, but after our entire experience, we will not recommend or order from here ever again.

Inedible wrap!!! Paid almost $14 for an extremely soggy, tiny, tasteless, inedible wrap!! Almost $14 for JUST THE WRAP!! NO CHIPS, NO DRINKS ... JUST AN INEDIBLE WRAP!!! It seems like it was dunked in a bowl of water before being served. Ended up in the trashcan!! I Will never ever order from this place again and do not recommend it. You get a better deal in other places such as Tropical Smoothie were you can get a delicious wrap that you can actually eat!! with chips or fruit and a smoothie for less than $13!!! Never again!!!
