Who
doesn't
love
a
medieval
Piazza.
It
is
chaotic
and
astir
with
activities,
restaurants,
bars,
boutiques,
clicky
tourists....we
passed
through
purely
by
coincidence,
I
am
not
a
fan
of
overcrowded
places,
unfortunately
my
other
half
is
-
he
likes
to
indulge
in
an
Aperitivo
nearby,
under
those
iconic
umbrellas
to
soak
in
the
atmosphere
and
people
watching.The
Veronesi
love
their
spritz,
almost
every
bars
outdoor
seats
were
brimming
with
carefree
tourists
and
locals.
I
took
the
opportunity
to
admire
the
old
monuments
surrounding
the
plaza,
for
example
the
cascading
Fountain
of
Madonna
smack
bang
in
the
middle
of
the
hectic
square,
beautifully
painted
Mazzanti
House,
Torrei
dei
Lamberti,
the
majestic
Palazzo
Maffei
with
statues
of
Hercules,
Jupiter,
Venus,
Mercury,
Apollo,
and
Minerva,
a
whale
rib
bone
dangling
from
Arco
della
Costa.
A
market
here
sells,
vegetables,
drinks
and
souvenirs
-
fancy
a
mask
from
Venice
without
going
to
the
canal
city
itself?
You
will
find
one
to
your
liking.
I
noticed
that
they
shut
down
at
6PM.
A
few
hours
later,
my
other
half
is
still
sitting
in
the
very
same
spot
and
had
taken
the
liberty
to
order
a
BOTTLE
of
Prosecco.😂.
Like
it
or
not,
I
had
stayed
on
till
dusk
at
the
oldest
square
but
indeed
a
lively
heart
of
Verona.
