After our favorite wood fire pizza place closed, we have been on the search for a new pizza restaurant. Slice came with high recommendations. We tired the Vestavia location for dinner tonight. They appeared very busy but we were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Server was prompt to our table and brought our drink orders very quickly. I ordered the perfect pepperoni and my wife got a house cheese pizza with olive oil and garlic sauce. Pepperoni came out first. At first glance it was very greasy but had some nice charred crust. The bottom crust was not crisp, had no crunch and was drowning in corn meal. I was hoping the taste would make up where the crust lacked luster. However the sauce was bland, as was the pepperoni; both lacked on the flavor spectrum. Cheese combo was nice, but very thin. My wife’s house cheese pizza had the same crust issues. But her olive oil and garlic base had a very nice flavor. Her cheese combo was good as well. In comparison I can get a greasy pizza combo at Sam’s club for $2.74 and that include a drink. And their pepperoni and sauce has a much better flavor. Their crust is even crispier. Had the price point not been so high, I would have rated 4 stars but I don’t expect to pay $45 for two greasy, soggy pizzas and two drinks. But the Diet Coke was a hit! Disappointing to say the least, the search is still on for a new pizza place!

We love to come here because it is local. But, our past couple of visits haven’t been our favorite pizza place experience. The Caesar dressing is a stronger anchovies flavor, fyi. Our favorite thing here is the baked feta dip with cauliflower curst for dipping (must try). The pizza/pizza topping ratio was really disappointing. Today we ordered our BBQ chicken pizza and it barely had any sauce and toppings where slim.

Like the various specialty pizzas! We did half and half, very veggie and this little piggy. Very tasty! I personally wish the crust was a little crispier! Good pistachio Bailey's cheesecake! Cool place, would go again in in the area! Website didn't seem to work when I was looking on line for menu!

Every couple weeks when I’m in town this is the only pizza place I frequent! The BEST pizza I’ve ever had. The salad is phenomenal as well. It is always packed which speaks for the food and customer service. I highly recommend Slice!

This is by far my favorite pizza place in the area. The pizza is delicious and the crust is perfect for more of a New York style slice. I really love the fact that they elevate the quality of the sides and appetizers as well, it makes it more than "just a pizza place". The food is definitely a reason to come here and the staff is the reason to keep coming back. I have been here when they are completely empty, and everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I have also been here when they are slammed and very behind in the ovens, and they do everything they can to make it up to the customer. Absolutely would recommend this place to everyone, just keep in mind it can get pretty slammed in the evenings on the weekend.

we got the curbside family meal which comes with two pizzas, salad, and wings. though it was good, it was a bit pricey in my opinion. one pizza crust was a little burnt and the wings were overcooked/chewy. you do have to come inside to pick it up. however, the workers were nice and so was the atmosphere. i also love the options of vegan and cauliflower crust. i would give this place another try

Slice in Vestavia is the best!!! The service is always so quick, the employees are extremely pleasant, and above all the pizza is amazing. My friends and I come here almost every week. We love sitting on the patio outside, very cute little outdoor seating. Also, try the wing and a prayer pizza!

Overall, it was a good experience. The pizza is okay, but the dough is a little dry. The wings had a very nice marinade on them. It was a very pleasant taste almost like a mojo sauce, and they were cooked perfectly. Crispy outside coating and moist chicken once you bite it. I sat outside, which was very enjoyable.

Pizza was really great. Atmosphere is nice - very chill. Good selection on adult beverages. Customer service was ok - our server was more interested in her phone and a boy at the bar. Never asked if we would like a second drink. We will still go back - food was threat!

First time trying this place when I'm here for work. It's okay, I wasn't impressed too much. I'm a New Yorker, so pizza outside of NY will never compare. Nice atmosphere inside of the restaurant and the bar area.

I hate giving poor reviews, but I'm also obligated to warn other people who are gluten free that they are about to be ripped off. This was my second time trying Slice. I went here yesterday with friends of mine, and I was the only gluten free person at the table, so I came into this knowing I would need to buy a whole pizza for just myself because there was no one to split one with. What I wasn't expecting was that the pizza itself would be $18, then I would be charged an additional $4 for it to be gluten free, then charged another $3 to add just pepperoni to it. That's right, I paid almost $30 for dinner last night, drinking only water, with just pepperoni as a topping. Are you kidding? I almost laughed when I got my bill. Of course, it's all worth it when the pizza tastes great, right? Well, unfortunately that didn't happen either. Think of the thinnest pizza you've ever eaten, make it just tough enough to be hard to chew, sprinkle enough cheese on it to be passable and add approximately 8 pieces of pepperoni (you know, the ones you just paid $3 for) on the whole thing, and you've got what I was given last night. Most expensive gluten free pizza I've ever eaten, and also one of the worst. If you're gluten free, do not bother to go here. It is not worth the small loan you have to take out to afford it. Absolutely pathetic, and I will not be back.
