The staffs are truly amazing, helpful and humourous. Food is really good. Just a small note that the portion for one person is huge, maybe fits perfectly for the locals' apatite and habit, but if you aren't the native, be aware of that not to waste food.

This restaurant is a place where Portuguese family cooking tradition combined with excellent service and nice vibes. Carlos and his brother are both great hosts, as well as their mom is a talented chef who cooks yummy food. You would love this place right from the beginning. Delicious dishes, good design with plants and beautiful view of square will make your stay unforgettable. Highly recommend to visit and try. Worst steak I’ve ever had. Got ripped off with the starters as so many others have mentioned- wish I’d read the reviews before but it was an impulse stop. The special 5 pepper steak looked great, big steak and very nicely cooked chips/fries but the steak had so much gristle it was 30% inedible. There was a small section in the center that was ok. If you’re there - go next door (left) it’s great & cheap or end restaurant (grill) is more expensive but very good.

Really enjoyed dinner in this restaurant, really nice food and drinks (I recommend the sangria) Staff were really knowledgable about coeliac disease and showed me the gluten-free items on the menu. Location is stunning too.

Fish was swimming in oil, lots of big bones still in. Very overpriced, the server kept reminding us of how delicious the food was. Would not recommend

Amazing cod, terrific service and a very well run restaurant. My husband and were in the city for the day and after a google search found this restaurant as it did not have the bad reviews other similar restaurants had. One reviewer said the portions were very large so we opted for one salad and one main course of cod with onion, red peppers and mashed potato. Our server suggested this main course and indeed it was excellent. Fresh, hot and enough for the two of us. He also recommended the wine which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our server spoke fluent English which was helpful.

Had dinner at Tasquinha da Praça after a long day walking. The staff was welcoming and nice. The servings were really good (I had a bacalhau à zé do pipo style which was really satisfying), although maybe too big. Worthy a visit!

Service was impeccable... Shrimp risotto was very good. The wine was outstanding. Enjoyed my evening. We did feel it to be a little pricey.

The restaurant was well decorated and the waiter was good, but the cod was oily and didn't have a particularly good taste, definitely not worth the money
