A very disappointing experience. Service was poor and the food was not much better. The monk fish was ok but served with kale which didn’t work well at all. There are other places nearby that are better value and better food.

Good options for traditional food but TOO EXPENSIVE for a restaurant in this city!!

Don't be deceived by the outside. From the outside your eyes are first drawn towards a number of green flashing camels which had never been a great starting point for good food in the past. But this place definitely goes against the norm. We decided to sit outside and sat out on the big stone tables and seats which gives it a nice atmosphere (don't worry you are provided with a cushion to sit on). While you look at the menu some canapés are brought to you which are very nice, my personal favourite was the salt cod fish cakes. Starters where good. I my self had the chorizo which was ok but would chose something different next time. For the main I went for the bull steak, which will not be a surprise to most of you by now. I can honestly say that it was the best steak I have had during my couple of weeks in Portugal. On to the deserts where I went for the mango mouse which was ok and cleaned the pallet well but apart from that was nothing special. Would you come here again? Yes

If you like traditional food this place is recommended! They also do weddings!

This family-run restaurant has earned a loyal following with local food-lovers as it is almost always full despite its out-of-town location along the N202. Its facilities include a bar, which leads to several pleasantly laid-out dining rooms, a large marquee-style room for private functions, plus a huge garden patio for outdoor gatherings. The high-quality cuisine here is typical of the Minho, featuring fish from its own live tank, with a predilection for lamprey in season, plus an extensive selection of meat dishes.

Food very turist oriented, its not worth the visit. Extremely overpriced, they charge you for everything they initially put on the table without you asking for. The space is great and service is ok.

This is one of the most iconic restaurants in Viana do Castelo where you'll find the most traditional foods made with the best ingredients. Price is a bit steep comparing it with other restaurants in the area. But in my opinion, it will be worth every penny for the food alone and also the friendliness of the staff.

This restaurant is located away from the city center of Viana de Castelo, but it is really worth the detour. They have a large terrasse on the shadow ideal for the hot weather. We had starters (bolinhos de bacalhau, rissóis, mussels, Olives) and Cabritinho has main dish. The starters are good, but the main dish is were you taste the quality of the restaurant. The meat was perfectly cooked, very juicy. The potatoes cooked in the same dishes were lightly crispy on the outside and melting in the inside. It also came with green beans and rice and there was a sauce packed in flavors that perfectly finished the dish. It was delicious. The portion was large and we had no more place for dessert. In total for two people, we paid 56€ without wine. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it !

Great regional food. Lovely people. One of the very best restaurants around anywhere. Enjoyed every bite. Fabulous!

Always look forward to this place whenever we are in town ... Food is fresh and good selection ... Last Sunday my mother placed €100 euros on the table contributing toward paying bill ... I did not realize this and as we walked toward car she commented ... I told her I had not picked up the money ... She quickly went back and table was clear .. no one honed up to finding money ... Food is good ... Watch your stuff ...

Beautiful outdoors and the food is "ok" but it takes AGES to be ready and the room is extremelly noisy.

One of the best place in Viana do Castelo. The best Bull steak what you can find in Portugal and of course a lot of fresh fish made on a really good way. Highly recommend place, but reserve in advance 😉...

Wir saßen leider im Innenbereich neben der Toilette und ich empfand die Klimaanlage als sehr kalt!Unbedingt vorher reservieren.Der Außenbereich war sehr schön.Das Essen war sehr gut und auch sehr freundliche Kellner!Portionen waren sehr groß(kaum zu schaffen)!
